REVIEW: 76973 Raptor and Titanosaurus Tracking Mission
Ecclesiastes replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in LEGO Licensed
Correct! It comes closer to the Atrociraptor, size wise. -
No need for bb codes. Just copy and paste the picture from Flickr That said, insanly impressive work on this! Capturing the dwarven feeling on the spot!

Introduction If you say dinosaurs, you have my attention! Since I was a kid I've been facinated with these prehistoric creatures. We might never know how they really looked like and how they behaved but these movies make kid fantasies come true. And these sets packed with glorious LEGO dinosaurs make that even more awesome! Name: 76973 Raptor and Titanosaurus Tracking Mission Theme: Jurrasic World Year: 2025 Pieces: 582 Price: US $109.99 - DE €99.99 – UK 89.99 Box art The box art is as always with these sets, action packed. Buggies and motorcycles racing through the scene surrounded by dinousaurs. What else do you need?! Content The box contains 5 numbered paper bags. And a sixth paper bag containing the booklets and stickersheet. Which is a good thing so the stickersheet stays neat. Three booklets for a set like this is a lot but it's what we are used to today. Building Bag 1 The first booklet shows you how to assemble the dinosaurs. It's the Velociraptor and Titanosaurus and the have a very nice color scheme. Both look excellent and are very close to the ones shown in the movie. What is inaccurate though, is that both aren't shown in the scene at the store/gasstation. The same goes for the buggy and motorcycle. The buggy has a neat design, looks sleak and fast. And has a printed Jurassic World logo on the front. Bag 2 and 3 Bag 2 and 3 contains a camping site and a radarcart. Because ofcourse you have to have a portable radar to find these dinosaurs. The fun part about the camping site is that with a little push on the dark tan beam, the tree falls over. So beware! A fun technique is used on the tent. The part used on the backside fits excellently. Bag 4 and 5 Bag 4 and 5 shown the run down store where they hid. It looks close to the one in the movie. It's well-made. It has a neat joke as well, as the hot dog is molded, shown by the sand green color. Bon appétit! The only thing missing is Mutadons, but those are probably replaced by the velociraptor in this set. Minifigures From left to right: Dr. Henry Loomis, Zora Bennett and Martin Krebs. All nicely detailed with two even having leg prints. And of course, they need angry faces. Just because... But good thing they have nice/neutral faces as well. Though I can't see the faces representing the actors that well. The only one that comes pretty close is the Loomis minifigure. The others are really generic. Complete set All the bags together makes a fun action packed whole. Rating Design: 6/10 If you've seen the movie this set feels incredible odd. Different scenes put together and vehicels thrown in for playabilitiy. Which of course works fine for kids! Parts: 8/10 Not much to say about the bricks. But those new dinosaurs are great, with solid color schemes. Building: 6/10 No repetition which makes it pleasant to build, but nothing special Playability: 7/10 A lot of minifigs, vehicles and dinosaurs(and a spider and snake!) to have adventures with. Price: 5/10 License and dinosaur molds makes a set expensive but a set that doesn't even hits 600 parts, doesn't deserve a price like this. Just be on the lookout for a nice bargain to get your titanosaurus! Overall conclusion: Pricy and absolutely not movie accurate. But as a playset it delivers and so do those dinosaurs! Titanosaurs love!

Nice little scene, filled with details. Love the hanging vines and I like how you've solved the gaps in the roofs, clever choice. I can also appreciate the use of those old castle torsos, still not outdated. Simple but effective! Also, nice new hat!

When saying take it with a grain of salt, it's better to not say anything at all or wait until some solid confirmation! -

Bás Dorcha, home to the Night Lord Basil. Located in Nocturnus. Lord Basil built this impressive tower hundreds of years ago. Though no one has seen him in a hundred years. Even common folk from Nocturnus didn't dare to come near the tower. But with Basil gone, it was a perfect place for a city. Near the sea and the tower provided protection. Not everyone thinks Basil is gone though, people say he still lingers in his room, which no one dares to enter. Because of all the bats leaving and entering through the window at night, this rumor is kept alive. Others say there's nothing to fear because of the Wizard Willa, who built her own tower at the harbor. She is near to deal with Basil if needed. This was my layout for Legoworld Utrecht 2023. The tower in the middle is based on set 6097. I sorted all the bricks except for the tower. I'm hoping to still finish the interior. Like always I added moving parts. I always stick with four. This time I added them all in one module, which was easier to transport. By pushing one of four buttons kids could turn on the moving elements. Link to movie https://flic.kr/p/2q7zsca

There are so many details in such a tiny space! I love the roof, almost gets lost because it´s out of focus(purposely).
