This is INCREDIBLE. My grandfather's cousin was married to Tony Hillerman, a best selling, award winning mystery author who set most of his books in the area of Arizona, New Mexico that Kachinas are from. This looks great and I would LOVE to see some more Kachinas from you.

There has never been a Superman line (or set for that matter) released by LEGO. There was short-lived Spiderman theme and a short-lived Batman theme but never an official Superman theme. If you are finding Superman sets and figs online then you are customs made by individuals. Customs can be of questionable quality. That means that since they are customs then there are no sets. You could buy some of the decals or figs and then create your own Superman settings, since the spirit of LEGO is to create. Good luck!

Actually, as far as other pirates being knighted you are forgetting the greatest pirate of all time, Sir Henry Morgan. He was actually pardoned, knighted and made governor of Jamaica.

I love it. I thought that scene was the best part of "Meaning of Life." I cant wait to see this when you do get it finished.

I have never had a problem with the figs not being able to hold a straight bar. Just turn the hands so that the "curved" part of each hand is facing each other, inward. Then the fig should be able to hold the bar level and evenly.

Hey, great! Another Tulsan. Now I am not so alone. Hope you have a good time in the forums here. It's a great place with a lot of great people, models, and ideas. I just moved to Tulsa about 4 months ago but I have lived in the area my whole life. Maybe we'll run into each other sometime.

Builiding Contest entry: A day in the mexican desert
meschepers replied to Ewok's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The rules for the contest state that you may not use the official series 2 minifigure or any of it's new parts in the contest. You may use series 1 figs and any of their accessories. I think this is a neat build but I don't want to see you get disqualified due to a violation of the rules. -
Minifigs Packet in "Build a Minifig" section
meschepers replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That looks like the packaging for the "Build a Minifig" section at the LEGO stores. I am not sure of the cost but sometimes you can find some AWESOME parts for figs in the various bins. I plan on trying it next time I am at my local LEGO store. I believe you get to make three minifigs for a set price. Each fig can contain: 1 Headgear 1 Head 1 Torso 1 Set of legs 1 Accessory -
The dress with the red highlights was in a bag inside the box whereas the dress with blue highlights (the correct dress) was in the box loose. This lead me to believe that they discovered the mistake just before the boxes were sealed and had to toss in the correct dress piece as it was being packed. I bought mine the day it came out and it had both of the dress pieces. I still have the red one just sitting around in a drawer here because I have nothing to use it on.

On June 1st I placed a small order from S@H that contained 5 of the collectable minifigs. The order arrived very quickly like it always does from LEGO, so I can't fault them for that. However as I opened the collectable minifigs I discovered that the spaceman had no legs packed with him. I promptly went to LEGO's website and put in a request to receive a set of legs through the parts replacement system, which has always helped me out in the past when a piece was missing from a new set. After two weeks I hadn't heard anything back from them. A few days ago I sent a follow-up e-mail to customer service and received a reply apologizing for the missing part and telling me that since the items are purchased "blindly" (meaning you can't see what is inside of it at time of purchase) that they are enacting a policy that dictates they will not replace any missing parts from the any of the collectable minifigs (despite the fact that they option was available on S@H's parts replacement). The thing that irked me the most was they they said I could take the item back to the store where I purchased it and get it exchanged. If I had problems exchanging it then they would send me a set of plain white legs and a minifig keychain of my choice (total cost is far more than that of a collectable minifig, or even just it's legs). The reason that irritated me was that this is three weeks after I sent the initial request for replacement parts. The packaging and packing slip are long gone and there is no way I am paying shipping to return a $1.99 figure. The nearest LEGO store is three hours away from where I am at and I can't the reasoning to go there to replace a single figure (which may not even be in stock and may not be the same figure if I am allowed to exchange it). I sent them an e-mail back along the same vein as this saying that I wouldn't be buying any of the second wave of figures from LEGO, but would instead go through secondary channels so I could be sure that I was getting the complete fig, even if I had to pay a little more to avoid all of this trouble. The five that I ordered from S@H were the only ones that I bought because there were never any available in the city where I live (which is the second largest city in the state). I checked several times a week at all of the usual places where LEGO products are sold and not once did I see a place where they should be or even any evidence that they had been there. I got all of the figs I wanted through a trade, so I am not too upset about them not being available around me, I just wish I would have been able to get my hands on more of them. I am just very upset in the quality of these products, WAY below the normal standards of TLC and the fact they were not available in my (and, I can assume, other markets). I also know that there were people who were ordering the figs from S@H that got five of the same figs. To me, it seems like there are a lot of problems with this particular item and hopefully LEGO has someone on the case of figuring out a way to get some of these glaring issues solved before the next wave comes out. I am sure there is a thread about this someplace on here, but I can never find what I am looking for using the search function here (that and I am so stinking mad about this at the moment).

I would like to add +1 to Beans for a great trade. Everything went smoothly. -
Any suggestions for how to use KK2 colored knights?
meschepers replied to Shroffy123's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Knights that were in jousting tournaments often wore lavish clothes of many different colors. They would have their armor painted to match their tunics. Having these unique colors allowed them to be identified during the tournament, much like sports teams have uniforms that they wear when they compete. That's about the only practical use I can think of for the brightly colored knights and their armor. -
Like the title says, I have a Joker minifig as well as a Killer Croc minifig that I would like to trade for some of the current collectable minifigs. Both figs are in great condition (they went from the package to low light storage. I can provide photos if necessary. The lowest price on these figs on bricklink is $40 for the Joker and $28 for Croc. All I am asking for from the collectable minifig line is: Ninja (1) Cowboy (1) Indian (1) Forestman (1) Zombie (2-3) Wrestler (1) To sweeten the deal I will also throw in a Nurse minifig and a Magician minifig if someone can spare the figs I mentioned above. Please let me know in this thread or by PM if you are interested and maybe we can work something out!

Howdy to and from a fellow Okie! Where in the state do you live, if you don't mind me asking? I'm in Tulsa (just moved here from Stillwater after I got my degree from OSU). Maybe we can help each other out in the hunt for sets that we want. As far as I know we are the only two Okies here. It's a great forum and a great resource for all things LEGO.

BEWARE: Collectable Minifigures US Online Purchases
meschepers replied to legitimatealex's topic in Special LEGO Themes
To my knowledge there is not a store within 100 miles of where I live that sells these. I live in the second largest city in my state and have not seen a single one except for the ones I got in the mail today. I have tried Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Target and even K-Mart but have not found a store that stocks these. It's getting frustrating to me. I think I will have to resort to buying them from bricklink so I can get the ones I want specifically instead of just hoping I get them through S@H. Is there anyone in Oklahoma (out side of the Oklahoma City metro area) that knows anywhere that stocks these? Toys R Us has them on their website (always sold out) but the stores in my city don't have any at all from what I can tell. -
BEWARE: Collectable Minifigures US Online Purchases
meschepers replied to legitimatealex's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's odd, I got a S@H order today that had 5 of the minifigs in it and they were all different (forestman, cave man, space man -no legs!-, magician, and nurse). These are the first 5 I have been able to get since I haven't found them in a store around my home yet. Hopefully LEGO gets this little problem sorted out soon. -
I have seen them both at my local TRU.

LEGO Store WIP
meschepers replied to Shasat Spacerider's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
WHAT 9000?! That can't be right. Can it? Model looks great. The first step picture you posted looks like the beginnings of a Star Destroyer to me. I was confused by it at first. -
BrickArms 2010 WWII
meschepers replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'll be placing a decent sized order within a couple of hours. This stuff looks GREAT! I've been waiting for the Luger for quite some time and am stoked that it is here finally! I thought the Brody helmet would be out with batch. Guess I'll just have to keep being patient, though. -
Same as above. I ordered a copy of The Brick and a few weeks after I got it I got an e-mail just like that one and filled out. No other source should know that I received The Brick except TLG. It didn't seem odd to me at all.

This is a neat idea for a battle. The redcoats make great stand-ins for the Mexican army. One thing I have noticed, having been to the Alamo in San Antonio, the building has a more rounded top section. Otherwise I think this is a great battle with strong significance to the people of Texas and the United States as a whole.

Yeah. The Age of Empires series is my favorite PC game franchise. AoE III is EASILY the best in the series and one my favorite games of all time. I have played all of the campaigns several times and play skirmishes and online as the Dutch.

I absolutely love this. It would be great if you would post a photo of the parts used in this great creation so I can try to build one myself. I hope to see more WWII MOCs from you on here. GREAT WORK!

BSB and Skull Island with shooting or non shooting cannons?
meschepers replied to Ivan K.'s topic in LEGO Pirates
Pirates would often had mis-matched cannons on board their vessels. They would take whatever they could get from where ever they could it from. I don't think it would be odd at all to have the "Imperial" cannons on a pirate ship. It would be the ultimate insult to the Imperials, getting hit with their own weapons!
