Ever since the arrival of the UCS sets there has been an increased demand for custom authentic 3D printed Lego rims to bring the looks of a MOC (or set) to a new level. This inspired some AFOLs including me to create an online store making it possible for everyone to get their hands on some spectacular rim replications of a large variety of Cars plus being able to request a new rim design. All credits go to Felipe Evangelista (Creator of the website and the printer/shipper of the rim store), Daniel Meursing (Creator of the rim designs in Autodesk fusion 360). Also, many thanks to Charbel Imad for the fantastic introduction video. Nearly all rims consist of two 3D printed parts: the rim base and spokes. They snap perfectly together just like original Lego parts. Three ¾ pins snap together with the spokes. Now the assembly is identical to the Bugatti Chiron and Lamborghini Sian rims. Most of the spokes even have a stud in the centre to put on a round tile with a car brand. The rim base and spokes can be ordered separately so when you want a new design you only have to order spokes as you can use the same rim base from the previous assembly. 15 unique designs are currently being offered from 8 different brands and many more are being created as we speak. A few have been shown before in MOCs like Dugald’s Koenigsegg Regera and my Lamborghini Centenario. The rims from the Lamborghini Sian set are available too. Feel free to check out the website and the available rim designs here: https://technic-rims.com/ We hope the community finds it useful! Have a nice day!

I ordered an extra sheet to add extra accents to the front and the vents where here and there I had to cut some stickers. If you contact Jaap you can request a sheet of yellow accents (or any other colour). If you still want to do it differently I recommend dipping the edge of the panels in a thin layer of spay paint. I tried that and it worked really well. I am really looking forward to seeing your yellow version!

You have not broken the mini LA during the tests. It can't deal with extreme forces. I have been expirimenting with adjustable suspension too lately and I personally don't like a worm screw setup as they will cause a lot of play in the setup and cause axles to twist slightly. I tested this on a 1:8 scale chassis which seems a larger scale then you are working in. If it really rarely pops I think you should stick with your current design and change the geometry like Aerolight sugested. The advantage of your setup is that you did not use two seperate mini LAs for each axle individually which could cause the LAs to go out of sync if only one would pop.

I would love to see a yellow one! You can buy most panels in other colours on aliexpress. Otherwise you should use yellow spraypaint and a primer. (if you are not a purist) Somone else already did it. It required a few minor mods. He also customized the interior to match the colours of the printed patern on the arches.

Hi, the .stl file for the rims is not included in the instructions. The file can be bought for 8 euros by sending an email to the following address: customlegorims@gmail.com. I beleive no one has tried that printing it using the printers you mentioned. If you decide to print them that way make sure to show the result! I will buy the sian set from the lego store on monday and will post comparion pictures next to the centenario here as soon as I have finished building it!

Thank you for sharing this awesome build here on the forum! The MOC is instantly regonisable and makes clever use of some parts throughout the build like the flex axle in the rear end and and the sword in the center column. You have achieved an insane speed for a 1:8 scale car without sacrificing the car's aestetics. Hope you don't mind me criticising the side profile which looks like it misses many of of the real car's curves, maily the area around the doors and above the rear wheels with the stacked 3x13 panels. I am not sure but it looks like there is something wrong(?) with the area above the front grille. You have used the fence parts for the grille which are about 2.5 studs high and according to the blueprints it should be 3 studs in hight. It could also be that the area above the front grille should be sharper since below the hood two more studs of bodywork drop down vertically. It's a pretty sharp edge on the real thing. Or maybe it's a combination of both, but to be honest this is quite nitpicking and it shows the difficulty to replicate something with lego technic. Looking at your most recent creations, I do wonder if achieving high speeds is your main objective in your future mocs. To me it seems like you could put so much more than 2 buggy motors and 2 buwizz' in the chassis of a 1:8 scale car like an adjustable suspension setup or sequential gearboxes. Huge challenges of course, but that's what makes it so much fun. Keep up the great work, I am looking forward to the next one! -
@Gray Gear I could not agree more. As pointed out by others, the post has way to many photo's of which most don't even make sense to post here since we have no idea what is going on or it's just an unimportant detail. Post a link to your gallery where you host your picures in the future and make a selection of about 15 pictures to put in the EB post.

Great to see you have finished this project! The car's appearance has improved a lot since the last WIP pictures you shared - well done! The composition of panels really capture the lines of the real car. Personally I feel like the back of the car relies too much on system elements. Why didn't you use the curved 3x11 panels for the rear bumper? I also have to mention the four shock absorbers used for the rear axle. In general for a car of this weight, two shocks per wheel is more than enough. Redesigning the suspension geometry could have done the job in a more efficient way. But honestly this is a bit nitpicking. If you want to do instructions for a moc, I think people should be able to build it without having the need of modify/paint parts. Perhabs it's an idea to redesign some sections so it can be built in orange with 100% original parts. It will probably make it more popular MOC to build too. Anyways, it's your decision. Thanks for sharing!

It's more than obvious that this is fake. It's also clearly visible in the smaller details like the rear view mirrors, which we already concluded were made using the #1 and #2 panel which was visible when looking at the reveal cloth. I just hope someone doesn't copy the image, decreases the resolution, blurres it and spreads it arround the web letting people assume that LEGO's sian got leaked.

@brunojj1 Thanks a lot for you suggestions! I will see If I can make the mod for the wheelarch work. Since the area behind the wheelarch curves it could end up sticking out because of the new higher attachment for the flex axle which doesn't curve inwards whilst going up. We will have to see. The idea for wheels sounds really nice too. Thanks again!!!

For those who disliked the headlights, I've come up with an alternative which I forgot not mention earlier. I like it a lot more than the tooth. I have also put in on Rebrickable. I also ordered a few extra vinyl sticker strips to add some more accents (intakes and front) on mine. I guess I will have to do the skirts too.

I am not here to argue either but I want to point out the following: pretty much everyone on Rebrickable is a true LEGO enthusiast and purist as well. Meaning they will most likely not purchase a set from a different brick company. I don't want to let the real LEGO fans down that's why I put in the effort with Thorsten to create instructions. In conclusion I disagree with it not being 'fair'. I hope we can leave the entire subject behind us now.

@LvdH Thank you very much for the review! @SamuelYsc This forum is dedicated to original LEGO only so please don't discuss other brick companies here or even mention them. Please remove your image and link from your previous post. To make things clear here, I will explain the following: it is true that a certain rip off company posted a fake copy of my MOC 4 hours after it's release!! I sold my copyright to a different brick company that actually values intellectual property and since I knew this was going to happen and since they are located in china they also have the ability to take the rip off companies down. That's what I am hoping for. I made a deal to be able to keep selling building instructions though. Nothing is ideal but these are the current circumstances so I hope you understand my decision. EDIT: @brunojj1 Fully agreed with your comment Allhough I did make a deal with them before it's release.

I know , I really loved the spec 'Blue Cepheus' Centenario and dark azure looked pretty close to that colour so that's why I built it in that colour. Only if you push the car the car fully down and the springs compress then yes. But when regularly driving and steering with the car that is not the case. It would never get approved, even with 10k supporters. It exceeds the maximum parts quantity and even if it didn't: zero percent chance.

@grego18f Thanks for your feedback, it's always highly appreciated! I am glad I inpired you for your chiron rework - it looks great! The chains was the most effecient way to transfer the torque in my case but of course it is not ideal. Especially since synchronizing is a bit harder with a chain than with just gears. @Ultimatemau Thanks, I wish you a pleasant building process! @vectormatic I agree about your entire comment. I wish new engine parts too very hard too although I don't see it happening anytime soon...
