Love the look of the rollercoaster. Hopefully we will see a larger expert set with power functions.

I have ninjago city and it's awesome. Makes perfect sense they are releasing expansions for it. It had all the hallmarks of being its own modular. Can't see the docks fitting the destiny bounty though. The ship is massive and I feel it would look out of place towering over the city. I can see docks, maybe some market stalls/shacks or something, and perhaps smaller but more appropriately scaled ships built for the harbour. Anyway very exciting. Think we will see a further 2 more expansions for the city to complete the scene.

Yes! I thought that also after seeing the movie. Why didn't LEGO decide to make Snokes throne room (like you say similar to the death star duel ). Minifigs - Snoke, Kylo, Rey and two praetorian guards. That would have been a very popular set, but nooo they have to give us half an AT-ST.... :P

bought the UCS Falcon - Finally managed to get it when it was briefly back in stock. A much more sensible purchase, was I recently purchased the last AT-AT walker. Missed it the first time it was released, but managed to get a complete second hand one for a good price. Looks great, and very happy with it.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
chris592 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Don't have much interest in the latest wave of sets to be honest. My feelings on them are: Ahch-to: Probably the only set I'm interested in getting, the build isn't too bad, the hut looks nice enough. But the biggest draw to this set for me is the Luke mini fig (and of course the porg). So yeah probably for me the most appealing set in this wave, Defense of Crait: hmmmmmmmmmm I like the speeder, I would totally buy that vehicle on its own and feel 45 pounds for it would be OK. But the rest of the contents just don't appeal to me at all and with a 75 pound price point, no thanks! I might buy it if/when its heavily discounted at some point. Mos Eisley Cantina: I have the last one and its 10 times better than this. SO yeah have no interest in this whatsoever, other than the Wuher bartender figure. But i'm not going to spend 45 pounds on just getting this set for him. I'll probably end up getting him on bricklink and will take a hard pass on this set. Heavy Scout Walker: Think this was part of the last wave, but anyway. Didn't like the look of it when I first seen the LEGO model, thought maybe if I seen it in the movie I might change my opinion.......... but yeah obviously not. So yeah this is an awful looking set to me, looks very confused and at 50 pounds! yeah NO THANKS. AT ST - hmm what is this? I got a complete AT-ST a few months ago, why do I want an incomplete one..... no thanks. Tatoonie battle pack - nothing your going to buy a bulk off, but it looks nice. I have the Sandcrawler so feel a few more minifgs for that scene would be good. And I like the mini vehicle build in this pack also. First Order specialist battle pack - really like the executioner troopers, other two minifigs are meh. but yeah will be buying a couple of these packs just for the two troopers. So yeah, for me this is a bad wave, my wallet is very thankful that LEGO decided to punch it in for this wave (guessing most of these sets where designed/decided on a Friday afternoon). Think Ahch-to is the only set I shall be getting, perhaps the Defense of Crait when its heavily discounted just for the speeder, oh and the two battle packs. -
[PRESS RELEASE] 75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017
chris592 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very happy, managed to get one back ordered yesterday when it was available for a limited time. Says it should be delivered sometime after Christmas! very pleased and cant wait. -
picked up the UCS tie fighter from my local Toys R Us last Friday, they had a 20% off sale, plus I had a 20 pound voucher to use. Was about £124 after all the savings. Haven't built it yet, but couldn't say no to such an iconic star wars ship for that price. now just to wait for the Falcon to come back in stock online..........

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Thanks Axylius and Brickolta for the information. Yeah I agree Brickolta even though its a fake, I like the idea of this type of building in a city. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
chris592 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
yeah once I read more into it, I seen it confirmed as a fake. But what a great looking modular, and MOC, certainly would fit well into anyone's city. Kudos to the designer of that MOC, they did a great job. you wouldn't happen to have a link to the MOC itself? its so good that would be interested to see if there are more pictures of it. LEGO should contact him/her, ask to use their concept. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
chris592 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
seen someone post elsewhere that the next Modular is an Octan gas station, looks pretty cool. Maybe this was discussed in this topic prior, I didn't take the time to look back over it. But anyway interesting idea, and would fit in well within a city. Actually never mind, read more into it, seems its considered a fake. But nonetheless looks great and would be a nice addition to a city. -
[PRESS RELEASE] 75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017
chris592 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I mentioned this earlier in this thread I think. But the general release date really doesn't mean anything, I cant see a "second rush". This is a serious set, not one most parents are gonna pick up for Christmas or whatever. The vast majority of people who want this set are collectors, and even if they weren't Lego VIP members before, they certainly signed up to get this set early. I would say the vast majority of demand for this set has already happened, and hope that once Lego fulfills its back orders (and people on the waiting list), that it will be a very slow trickle of sales from then on, until there is a promo like double VIP points when I suspect a few buyers are holding out for. Anyway I'm still sadly waiting for it to be re-stocked so I can buy it. I'm annoyed at the fact Lego let people buy 3 of these at a time. I have seen some people selling multiples of these on the secondary market for greatly inflated prices, and can only think if Lego enforced the 1 falcon per VIP card (at the release, at least until the demand dropped off) then I would suspect a few more people waiting on stock would have had their chance to own one. Seen someone on another forum boast about having sold 4 of them each for over 900 pounds, which makes my blood boil. But anyway hope that I don't have to wait too long to get a chance to own one of these. -
[PRESS RELEASE] 75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017
chris592 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Surely the people who are buying this set are mostly VIP members (I'm sure even if they weren't before, they signed up as VIP members to get the set early)? Does the general release date of 1st of Oct really have any significance? Cant imagine much more of a demand, suspect after the back log is cleared it will be a slower trickle of sales, maybe a few sale spikes when there are double VIP points and other promotions. -
Very much looking forward to picking up the new Falcon once it comes back into stock. I have no problem waiting for it, I'm sure Lego will be producing these sets for a while. I did try to get the set on release day but sadly missed out, slightly miffed that Lego allowed each VIP member up to 3 units (on the UK site anyway), perhaps they should of limited that to one each, but then again cant imagine too many people buying multiples so probably wouldn't of helped much anyway. But yes a must buy for me, from watching the reviews on youtube it looks a sensational set, certainly one to be displayed and certainly the center of attention in any home. This is more like a fine piece of art, already have an idea to display this in a glass coffee table in the center of my living room. But yes Cant wait to get it, it will be worth the wait, and perhaps I might be able to pick it up when there is double VIP points.

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
chris592 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Picked up the Lego Ninjago city chase at the weekend, must be one of the best 15 pound sets Lego have made. Its just awesome, Love the police tuk tuk, the stall is nice, really appreciate getting the street lights and the signs. Plus you get a great selection of mini figures for the price. -
Voltron & Ship in Bottle IDEAS approved
chris592 replied to Hoth Rebel's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Voltron looks great, But must say I love the ship in the bottle, think its such an interesting piece, not really seen that before. Out of most things in the review, this was was something different, and i'm very excited to see how it comes out. Certainly would be keen to purchase both of these sets. -

Just bought the Destiny Bounty and the two Mechs from Argos (UK), they still have the 3 for 2 offer on. So I saved 60 pounds on what it would have been. I ordered them online to collect in store, just need to pop over after work to pick them up. Also I think it comes with a free Lego key chain, -

Was in argos today to pick something up. Checked on their system new Ninjago sets are listed and for 3 for 2. So buy 3 get cheapest free. I was in a big rush, so never had a chance to see if I could order it but looked like it. Gonna go back to argos later and try. But thought I would let people know, and will certainly update later if I'm able to buy them. This is UK stores. -
Yeah certainly not on the web site when I got mine either, must of been old stock that was just sitting around, was surprised as I thought Lego recalled those. But anyway I got very lucky, was actually in for something else and it caught my eye high up on a shelf. Slave 1 is a great set, but yeah the sand crawler looks great too, I haven't built mine yet, just haven't had the time. But yeah I hope some day you get one.
-
UK, this was actually in Belfast area, well just outside. But certainly my local Toys R Us had them, not sure if they still have one left. Not sure if that helps you or not, but I hope it does as its a great set.

Still about in some stores. I bought one in my local Toys R Us store not long ago, maybe a month ago. Was 200 pounds which was nice, pretty sure they had at least one other also.

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
chris592 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Ya know, been an avid reader of Eurobricks for a good while, never had any real intention of creating a user account (was happy reading the set rumours, and the discussions in the background ), I'm an AFOL and I would say most of my interest would be in Star Wars sets, big fan of the film franchise and can instantly relate to the LEGO sets from it. But I just had to sign up and comment on this, this is without doubt one of the best LEGO sets I have seen, now I don't watch the Ninjago TV show, nor do I have any real interest in the film, but my goodness the LEGO Ninjago theme produces some outstanding and beautiful looking sets. I actually think I'm more excited for these Ninjago sets than the up coming Star Wars ones. I already have the temple of Airjitzu, and I shall be adding the Destiny Bounty, and this Ninjago City set to my small but fantastic looking Ninjago collection. Also someone commented a couple pages back on how it looks like a scene from Blade Runner, and yeah it totally does, you could easily modify this set to have a more of a blade runner type look to it. But yes fantastic looking set, and looks like it will be a lot of fun to build, now just need to come up with a good excuse for my other half when I buy this, so she wont flip out at me..
