^ There's always next year! I'm excited to see what the 90th Anniversary castle will be like.

Speaking of that moon base, check out those trans blue panels ... if we get a recolor in trans bright green or trans neon green all I can see is Mega Core Magnetizer, Magnetizer, MAGNETIZER! But that's just a wish that probably won't happen.

What a Space set could fulfill that wasn't covered by the Benny ship would be 1) being available in 2022, fully eight years after the Benny ship was released, 2) being part of the Adult Portfolio it should use more complex building techniques and details, whereas the Benny ship was a simpler playset aimed at kids, and 3) potentially being an intentional modernized remake of the 928 Galaxy Explorer, whereas the Benny ship was an homage with a very different suite of play features. That is, if the 90th anniversary set is Space, which we don't know.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
icm replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks for that link. Too bad we're probably only getting one of those spaceships in Lego, I want them all. Can't decide which I want more, the XL-01, XL-02, or XL-15. Don't much like the XL-07 though. Because the XL15 is the one featured in the biggest ($45) Mattel toy, it's probably also the one featured in the biggest ($50) Lego toy. Anyone know when the Lego sets for this will be revealed? Seems like that can't be too far away, with the movie coming in June and the Mattel action figures already revealed. -
@Jerac You changed the wedge slope of the wings from 4 to 3, can you explain your thought process in deciding on a 4x wing slope in v1 and a 3x wing slope in v2?

The box art amuses me, especially the back of the box. It would be perfect for Space, except it's used for a twelfth-century(ish) Viking longboat.

LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Yes, but the $50 Naboo fighter from 2015 also came with lots of ground equipment and a whole battle pack worth of droids and Jedi. The $60 Naboo fighter from 2022 doesn't have any of that. -

Dank farrik, that's fast. Fast to get the pictures out, I mean. Looks halfway decent, but in my eyes it's one ugly ship so I'm glad the set doesn't tempt me. If TLG had taken a new structural approach that would evolve the N-1 in the direction of the Inthert MOC, I might have bought the Mando N-1 just for that. As is, I prefer the clean smooth lines and bright colors of the factory fresh N-1 and for that I'm content with the 2015 set. -
That's a Chiss claw craft from the old Expanded Universe. Grand Admiral Thrawn is Chiss.

Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)
icm replied to The lego fan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The place to do that is Lego World Builder hosted by Tongal. Make a page for your idea on that. As a general rule, don't send unsolicited ideas to professional creative types. They reject them out of hand for fear of liability. -

The JP T-rex set has an 18x50 baseplate, so that's pretty close to the same footprint as the Dagobah set. If the Dagobah set is as good as the JP set, I can't wait to see it! -
In the mid 1990s there was a string of rollover crashes and fatalities involving that generation of Ford Explorer that were blamed on bad Firestone tires. I don't know what that would have to do with Lego. Maybe Ford hasn't been letting anyone make toys of that generation of Ford Explorer at all, just because the Firestone rollover scandal was such a debacle? But other companies have made Jurassic Park Ford Explorer toys before, so that wouldn't make sense.

I think 60341 from 2017 is the best City police station -
@BrickBob Studpants: I'm not accusing anyone of an abuse of power. I was just fact-checking speculation up-thread, the way one fact-checks speculation about the designer or driving mind behind any other set. For instance, I really appreciate knowing who designed a Creator Expert set and who backed it during the design process. No accusation here, just fact-checking.

Here's a relevant quote from the comments of Matthew Ashton's Instagram post about the set. This comment is Matthew Ashton replying to brotherfromanotherbricks: matthew__ashton Verified @brotherfromanotherbricks I didn’t actually design this set, but I may have nudged someone into making it happen ;) Here's the post, if I can make the link work: https://www.instagram.com/p/CZzXcRbsslF/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet So the hunch expressed in this thread that it's a set happening because of Matthew Ashton seems to be largely correct. The conclusions you draw from that, if any, are of course up to you.

Now I want the summer Harry Potter wave to have some of the fried egg splat parts from City, all nicely printed to look like this: https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Lamb_chop It's all right, it's canonical to the movies! And not DH1 or DH2 either. Dang, now I want a set of the Hog's Head with Aberforth Dumbledore and his pet goat.

This list does sound a bit too good to be true, but the 2021 list also did and it turned out pretty great. So I'll be cautiously optimistic about it because it's from Promobricks - but I'll put extra salt on my lunch just in case. -
As a Space fan myself, I also get to decide for myself what I consider Space to be, and what I want in a Space set. Let's all just agree to disagree.

Are these real though? We've had a few fake leaks in the past week or so. If they are real, I bet either 75325 or 75334 is Mando's starfighter, and 75337 is a Republic Gunship. That would go with the AT-TE for 75336 and with the 20th anniversary of AoTC, as well as handing the torch over from the Razor Crest in that approximate size class/ship class in the product line. But that's just speculation. I guess Promobricks is usually a reliable source. Whose Jedi starfighter do you think it's gonna be this time? I'm hoping for Obi-Wan's from AOTC, I missed the 2017 model. And I guess Cad Bane's ship must appear in Bad Batch Season 2 or the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, because (spoiler, not spoiler) it doesn't appear in BoBF. That's what makes me a bit skeptical about this list, I don't know any reason for Cad Bane's ship to appear there especially at the whopping $160 price point. -

You're not the only one. I think I posted about that in a different thread. I know I told my friends who are into Lego about it. For me, that takes it from a meh to a must-buy. Lego hasn't done that kind of near-future sci-fi / engineering concept deep space Interplanetary vessel before, ever.
