Welcome halfpenguinhalflego. Hope you enjoy the forum.

No need to post your question twice. I've merged your topic with this previous topic started by henryhotspurs.

This topic is probably more fitting for the Buy, Sell, and Finds forum, but for the benefit of our Dutch/European train fans, I'll go ahead and leave it here. Please check out that forum when posting finds like this - thanks.

I can certainly understand that.

Nice, but please resize your images. 800x600 is the max per EB site guidelines. Much appreciated. I like the cross.

Never commented in the Technic forum before, but since the Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride, I have to drop a note. Very clever idea to create a rotating camera. At first, I was expecting to see the gallery and Doom Buggies. The sound is crisp and clear. I'd really love to see you expand your Mansion creating some of the more memorable scenes. Nice job on the Graveyard. Personally, I've always wanted to build a Haunted Mansion. This is the closest that I've come: Do you plan to expand it?

Welcome Luca. Hope you continue to enjoy Train Tech.

Outstanding Cecilie! and thanks for the article mention. Love the little "treaters" - esp. the witch. I like the stepped porch of the house (never know what might be burried under there). Overall, nice color for the house and a fine Halloween creation.

Thought I would decorate my Appletree House for the holidays... Happy Halloween all!

Return of the Creature

Thanks again - I particularly enjoyed working on this one, and I think the finished product came out pretty well. Still thinking about that lagoon scene. Thanks MB. Appreciate the nice feedback. -
Welcome Liutas. Please share your thoughts after you build. It's always interesting to see how others view a particular train, esp. a new LEGO Train builder.

Here's the Creature as he creeps aboard the Rita: (insert foreboding music here...) -
Return of the Creature
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks Chris. It has been a while, hasn't it? Honestly, I haven't been doing much in LEGO in some time. A Minimate creature has brought me back to a custom adventure theme that I enjoyed building. I've still got the Rita and the vignette, so I may just expand the theme. Appreciate your feedback. -
Return of the Creature
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks RB. You got it -he's perfect, isn't he? -
First, let me start by saying that I've never been a fan of "off-brand" construction toys but... I've been waiting for the release of the Creature from the Black Lagoon by Diamond Select Minimates. Yes, I know, it's not LEGO, and I'm not a traitor, but the Batman Killer Croc head and torso is no match against the larger Minimates Creature. So, breaking out my still intact Rita Amazon Exploration Vessel, I tried taking various pictures of the Creature as he snuck aboard the ship. They just weren't working, so I put on the old thinking cap. Utilizing the Lifeguard from Series 2 Minifigures with a brown wig and frightened face, she made the perfect bikini-clad vixen for a shot. The longer and moveable arms of the Minimates Creature allowed for him to hold her just perfectly. I now present the Minimates Creature vs. the LEGO Lifeguard in this latest Universal Movie Poster:

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

During a visit to my local TRU today, I noticed that their minifigs are now selling for $5. I had to look twice. Not real happy with TRU pricing at all. -
Getting started in LEGO Trains - What to buy?
WesternOutlaw replied to MrTools's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I would recommend you look at the Train Tech Index. There's a complete section for beginners to the hobby, not to mention topics similar to this one posted only days ago.- 191 replies

Great publication! I just finished reading this afternoon. I like the new "BIA" rating system. Thanks for posting here on Train Tech Tony.

Getting started in LEGO Trains - What to buy?
WesternOutlaw replied to MrTools's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well said - I was just getting ready to type a similar response. Personally, I would look into the new Cargo Train. It's a bit more money $$$ than the passenger train, but from all reviews, it looks like it offers quite a bit. I had not heard that 9V is making a come back, so I don't know if I'd start looking for used/old 9V track, motors, and transformers just yet. Good luck with your efforts.- 191 replies

Welcome LegoSjaak! That's a great city you have there. I see the yellow cargo train in the line-up (still haven't picked that one up). I hope you enjoy the TrainTech forum.

Everyone is getting into the spirit of Fall, especially with Harry Potter's latest Hogwarts Express LEGO Train. EB's very own Reviewers Academy teacher, WhiteFang, brings the LEGO Community an exclusive review of 4841 Hogwarts Express, and it certainly is a beauty. Bearing the striking red and black color palette, the Hogwart Express is certainly the perfect train to bring us closer to the mysteries of the new LEGO Harry Potter collection. See the exclusive review right here on Eurobricks as we depart toward magic and mayhem.
