MOC: Remember kids, Rail Zombie says...
WesternOutlaw replied to SavaTheAggie's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Tony: it's interesting to see horror added to Trains - and I would never have thought of a zombie train conductor. Your level of creativity always surprises me. Do you plan to build a boxcar of zombies or any other figs related to the horror train genre? Reminds me a bit of this Skeleton Crew: Clever! -
Cute! You've done a nice job at creating a LEGO version of the real deal. It almost looks like an old VW bus. It's always neat to see narrow gauge trains, especially from a variety that I'm not familar with. Nice job Piotr.

Welcome to the Town Forum and to EB Elkapitan. I think this creation delivers just the right amount of elements from the PoP collection to still maintain a Cafe Corner-like style and charm. Good luck with the interior and make sure to share some additional pictures after you add the furnishings. Front-paged!

It is always nice to see new modular LEGO City MOCs spring up in EB's Town Forum, as it is new members to our on-line LEGO fan community. One such member, Elkapitan, shares his latest creation, Persia Corner, as part of his first post. Utilizing elements from the LEGO Prince of Persia theme, his creation delivers a splash of Middle Eastern architecture with Cafe Corner-like charm.

Welcome Wardlws. It really is great to see outstanding builders such as yourself join our LEGO Train Community. Your trains are fantastic! Thank you for sharing. Welcome Typo. I really like your first train set. I would love to have that beauty - oh, and the classic yellow station is superb. Hope you enjoy the forum.

REVIEW: 8684 LEGO Minifigures Series 2
WesternOutlaw replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I almost forgot... Mi Amigo - The sombrero is the best new piece in 2010 - and to think we almost lost it to a forest fidora. -
Back in the day, I would have disliked this set because of the pink elements, but now I'd love to have it. I think you're very fortunate to have this little beauty CB. Thanks for the review. It looks even better and more classic after you've nicely highlighted the different aspects. 5 stars for me! Review indexed.

Not much narrative, but nice pictures. Thanks for sharing - I've added a poll.

WesternOutlaw replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
and WhiteFang scores! Outstanding collection WF. Thank you so much for taking the time to highlight this delightful collection. I'm loving the Mexixan, Spartan, and the haunting new Witch and Vampire. Can't wait to pick up these bad boys. Front-Paged! -

Welcome Mariano. I remember these types of vintage trains from the 70s. Hope to see more of your custom train creations. Enjoy the board!

Welcome Rday, and you can certainly be added to our Train Tech Registry. Don't feel bad about your collection. Everyone has to start somewhere. I remember my first train (the My Own Train collection). You've got a nice set there.
-
Welcome Paul, Private_Lego, and Andy! Andy: that's a really nice 3-level layout you've got there. It gives me some nice ideas for working with my limited table space. Private_Lego: I look forward to seeing some of your Belgian train creations. Paul: members of existing LEGO Train clubs are certainly welcome. Please extend an invite to other members of your LUG. Glad to have you join our LEGO Train community.

The MOC Index is Hinckley's baby. I do maintain the review index here in Towns and also the index for the Train Tech forum. You'd be surprised how much work it takes to stay on top of a good index. We had the MOC index pinned for well over a year and eventually just made it a link from the main forum to keep the pinned topics down to 3 - something that we try to maintain in each forum.

Nice finds, but I think this topic belongs in the Buy, Sell, & Find forum. Topic moved.

Thanks for sharing! I missed this is my searches for System helicopter transport sets. I don't remember this set at all. It's neat to see all these historic/classic transport sets, all with a similar concept.

I share your thoughts CF, but this is the work of WetWired. This wonderful creation is far above my building talent. It is; however, well deserving of a front-page!
-
Yes - I heard a rumor about it on a Playmobil forum. Not sure if it's true, but I would look forward to such a theme. You never know, LEGO could make one as well.
-
Fans of LEGO Modular sets might enjoy this latest creation by LEGO City fan WetWired. With a nice color palette including a dark blue roof, this Custom Corner also contains a variety of Series 1 Minifigures.

Thanks for the review Pinioncorp. I've indexed and added a poll so our train fans can rate this set.

Really nice Dave. This is like a modern Metroliner Club Car. I like the light grey and yellow color combination, especially the doors. It's always nice to see the classic train windows as well. Overall, great detailing!
