  1. Ahhh, a puzzling question before us. I may recall the Lord Martin during weekly mass - cheated on his weekly tidings if I recall correctly. A frugal man who ended up not cheating the church, but cheating the "man upstairs". I knew that he would one day suffer as a result of his blasphemy. I say that he be the first to be cast out! I vote Lord Martin, the Frugal. Thank you my son. It is good to see you. For your love of the Church, I shall say a "special prayer" for you in these troubling times. It would also be wise to watch those who oppose the church. Lord Martin the Frugal is the first.
  2. Excellent Miner Hickley. I love the custom suspender torso. Looks great. I'm also looking forward to your new MOC. Any hints?
  3. Greeting to all. I am but a simple and pious man who hath devoted himself to our Lord and King. I shall administer the final sacrament of the holy to the everlasting soul of King Dracus. Let it be known that one among you hides within the mask of deceipt while others conspire with you. We shall hunt you as demons and cast you out into the fire and brimstone that shall consume you. Now, what witchery do you, Damien, the alchemist; who calls upon the evil of "herbs and medicine" to heal the sick and afflicted practice? In the name of all things good and holy, this man should be tested to affirm his loyalty to the church and our kingdom.
  4. Thanks guys. I appreciate that. I will definately be doing something in the future (once I get bored with Ghost Train - perhaps return to Castle). I picked up the new sets last week and look forward to building them (all but the tower set).
  5. Well, for those of you following this Jungle Adventure WIP, I have to say that I finally took down the display yesterday evening. It took approx. three (3) hours to disassemble the 19 sets that made up the diorama, with one remaining, the Temple of the Crystal Skull. I ran out of time and wanted to get the replacement "table-world" started. What was once a steaming tropical jungle with lush green landscape, crocodiles, and snakes, is now... Grave Stone's Ghost Train. :skull: Thanks for all the Jungle feedback and the great tips that many of you provided. I was a bit bored with the jungle and parts of it were starting to get rather dusty. This concludes the Jungle Adventure. PS. Share your Fantasy Worlds and other Tabletop Kingdoms here.
  6. Thanks, good info! Excellent! I love to see them used for something practical. Great idea.
  7. Nice, but it looks like it lost some resolution.
  8. Sometimes they come out a little better close-up. Try this one:
  9. I vow my allegiance to the Kingdom and the Lord Almighty. Let he who has brought this plague of death upon the King and the conspirators be cast out into damnation! Now, I will be making a spiritual journey to a place of solitude deep within the castle, to pray for the everlasting soul of My Lord, King Dracus. Those that have committed this shameful and treacherous act against the King will be be revealed through the twisted words of their serpentine tongues. Beware, The Devil and His Order dwell among us!
  10. I had two thought re. your question. 1) Have you considered an engine like that of the Bi-Wing Baron. I'm not sure the design would be large enough for your plane though: 2) Could you use part of the engine from Lego's Passenger Plane: You might also want to look at the design for the new Peril in Peru plane for some inspiration. The plane looks a little similar to what you are building. Good luck! Please share an image when you finish.
  11. I've been looking at my Grave Stone Ghost Train collection over the past several weeks thinking, "I wonder how many others have stuck to a similar theme or place when building MOCs"? I've seen a few of the same worlds on EB over the past few years from the same builders and am sure that others of you have had ideas to create a world/place that combines several like-themed MOCs. In addition to Grave Stone and my Indy Jungle Adventure, I've always wanted to build a "Dark City"; something along the line of Batman's City of Gotham. Share your worlds and fantastic places here, perhaps even a picture or two of your fantastic/mythical places.
  12. Excellent DNL! What an outstanding scene. Some of the components that I really like include: Waterwheel: Absolutely love it! It really adds to the quality of the man dwarf-made structure. Tower structure: I really like how you added the diagonal brown tiles providing a really "rickety" appearance (this is something I was trying to do for my water tower). Hoist/lift component: Very nice detail with the string and lifting mechanism. Shack/building: nice roof with mix of browns. Landscaping: Excellent! I really like how the water trickles through the rock and small little cavern section - beautiful detailed touch. The foliage/green is also very nicely done. Mountain: This type of construction always amazes me. I need to try the technique sometime. Overall, this scene has so much detail and combination of nice elements, it looks great. Very impressive! EDIT: And the new version looks a lot better - although I liked the pine trees.
  13. What a great set though. I'm sure it's well worth restoring.
  14. Do any of you collect Legoland Bricks? I'm interested in knowing how many Legoland has offered and how rare they are to find? Here's my small collection:
  15. Nice job VK. I'd love to see this actually built. I like the mix of grey bricks as well as the roof. My only suggestion for improvment is to extend the fireplace through the second floor. Nice job though.
  16. I don't know about this set KD. Achu (I think that's his name), looks too South American to be an American Indian. Have you perhaps considered using the natives from the new Indy Temple. I think they'd make better Indians. The Buffalo Indian and the other look like official figs from the Indian Sub-theme.
  17. Wild West, like so many other classic Lego themes, was a great theme without a license. It provided endless opportunities for creative and unique sub-themes with endless historic and fantasy possibilities. I voted for non-license. While I'd be happy just to see a simple theme like that of WW 1996, a license linked to a good WW movie (intended for kids), would help the probability for a new WW theme. It appears that Lego Factory is our only hope right now. Let's see what transpires. Bring back the WW!
  18. SlyOwl: another outstanding MOC! You're very creative and always seem to capture the feel and mood of the scene (although I think you have a thing for sheep ). What I really like about this old mill is the action inside. The expression on the lady's face as the man fires the gun is priceless. I also like the consistent use of the same white bricks between the black tudor-style framing. I also like the spindle/pulley and the second floor. It looks very realistic. My only question is why you didn't put any windows on the side of the building? I think some of the old classic yellow framed black paned windows with green shutters would really look great. Overall, an excellent MOC . I also like the sneaky swordsman in the water (nice touch).
  19. I think having this huge fortress on wheels is rather clever and very original. It also has that "playful" and fun element to it, rather than seeing the typical big castle MOC. Nice job Sandy!
  20. Welcome to Eurobricks Sandy. What a great little comic you've created here. The visuals/images are very nicely done with a very creative storyline. I really like Sir Brickhart - there's something about his head/hair that really makes him look like a dwarf. I look forward to reading Chaper 2. I want that Wizard impulse set! Signed, TheBrickster, Also a Classic Castle and 2007 Castle fan.
  21. Nice job Majek. Aside from being a big fan of Clint's Spaghetti western triology, this MOC is a great WW vignette. You captured Clint very nicely. Excellent choice of faces, and I love the use of the Indy hat (I think it makes for an excellent WW hat). The way you you designed the landscape with the extra brown plates on the corner and the 1x1s is nicely done. The addded details like the "Keep Out" sign and the chain look great. Overall, a very nice scene indeed.
  22. Excellent KD! This is my favorite set of figs that you've made so far. I like the gentleman on the far right that resembles Lord Sinister.
  23. Thanks CB. The pattle steamer picture was shared over Playmoboard, a Playmobil Web Site. According to the person who shared it, it is an actual picture of the prototype. It may just be a custom steam ship that someone made - but given the nice detail and "steam boat" pieces, I would think it would have been pretty hard to customize. Either way, it's a great concept/inspiration picture for a Lego model.
  24. Thanks. I set up the entire collection this past Sunday (on the kitchen dinette). It looked pretty good, but the pictures did not come out well. So, to answer your question, I'm not sure. I am well pleased with the overall look of the collection, so I think I'd like to keep it up for a bit longer (perhaps even add a few more items).
