    Yea, it's very interesting, and it's great that they're constantly looking to improve the SC line up. From the interview, I sense that 8-wide SC will be around for next few years, at least.

    Thank you :) Unfortunately Lego designers are designing with one hand tied, they have to meet criterias that the builds have to be simple, sturdy enough for young Lego builders to play with, so it's totally understandable that they compromised the looks a bit for those criterias =)

    8-wide 2018 Ford GT '67 Heritage Edition This edition was released to pay homage to the GT that won the '67 Le Mans. The 9w Bronco has made the new SC set quite expensive, so I've moc-ed one for myself over the weekend.

    Thank you =) Unfortunately the Jesko doesn't fit minifig, because I needed to keep the roof low and the cock pit short. Modifications can be done to change that, but would need to raise the roof by 1 plate, and elongate the cockpit, which means compromising the proportion a little.

    I've waited a few days, to give it some time to let the new line up sink in, so here are my two cents. Obviously for the AFOL community (myself included), this new line up is a bit underwhelming when compared to the 2020 line up, because SC 2020 set the bar so high it's normal for us to expect that 2021 would be better. But then again, as we know Lego never intended for SC to be marketed just for AFOLs so it's understandable that the techniques & instructions will have to be simple enough for the younger Lego builders. I think we have to keep future expectation in check, because with the larger sets being rebranded as "18+" sets, it seems Lego is saying "if AFOLs want a much more accurate build you got to buy those with 18+ labels". So all in all, this new wave is still pretty good considering that they're targeted for younger builders.

    8-wide Ferrari F12 TDF The front is a modification of my 458. It's a fragile build but one that I'm happy about because it was quite the challenge.

    8-wide Porsche 911 GT3 RS With Weissach Package that includes carbon bonnet, carbon roof, etc. Quite happy with the result as my expectation was a bit low to be honest. This front end also inspired me to build the 458 last week.

    8-wide Ferrari 458 tuned by Vorsteiner The attempt to build a stock 458 wasn't successful as the air intakes were too difficult, so I've ended up with something that looks like Vorsteiner body kits. Hope that someday the 36841 bracket will be available in red so I could build a red 458 GT3.

    8-wide Porsche GT1-98 In the wrong livery, should have been the Mobil 1 livery that won the '98 Le Mans, but I don't plan on getting custom decals for it, and all-white moc is a big no against my preferred white backdrop... So, Marlboro livery it is, which is my favourite racing livery!

    Minor Tweaks made on Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Shortened the front end by 1 plate, because it was a tad too long, hence also needed to use the cut slopes to replace the curved slopes to avoid collision with those wedge plates on the side. Ferrari Monza SP1 Not the best part usage for the headlights, but I like how it turned out. Glad to have found a solution to build the curves under the headlights.

    7-wide Ferrari 330 P4 Top is with front aero-slits, bottom one without One of my trickiest mocs, had to make it 7-wide so the size of headlights would appear more proportional in relation to the overall size of the car.

    I think the SC series is doing very well, they took the risk of moving to 8-wide, introducing new windscreens with special prints, a new vehicle base, new wheels, etc, it's pretty crazy. So I believe Lego will continue developing SC in the next few years.

    Thank you :) I'm a big fan of your work actually. Fantastic job on the pop-up headlights, very clever to use the 1x1 bracket like that !

    8-wide Zonda Cinque Just completed this, my Huayra and Zonda R both had the 1x4 panel piece protruding at the front of the bonnet, which wasn't ideal. This Cinque now has a fix for that with a slightly differrent technique. Wanted to brick-build this, but the yellow mudguard is so rare, and I have to wait for the new 1x2 bracket piece to be available in other colours other than yellow and DBG.

    Yea I guess pimp-my-ride style of vehicles probably won't be happening. But 'racing-spec' of car manufacturers make SC line very exciting, We've got John Cooper Works in 2018, Nismo last year, then the GR coming soon, looking forward to more in the future.
