  1. A reddit user stated he works as a reseller for Lego and that it is real, and apparently it comes with pieces to mod it (super charger etc). Very early release ( March 2019) Also wanna note that the wheels are turned... possible steering?
  2. I just saw the video, see the weird thing is that I didn't feel and tension/popping into place whatsoever. I will double check to see if there is any. His geometry doesn't seem wrong though, so it's very possible. As of now I don't see an issue, I'll check it when im home. The mod is VERY easy to do on the castle one really wanted to.
  3. There was 0 tension in the bridge... I think Jang might have made a mistake? I'm not sure but I did not feel any tension in the pieces whatsoever. In the case I'm wrong, that fix up there is fairly easy to do since the bridge is a separate build. As for the set I think it's one of Legos best. Aside from the final product there were numerous times where I was just amused with the amount of references and details that were put into it as a I built it. Even friends of mine who weren't Lego fans marveled at it..which has never happened for any other set I've owned. A bigger Hogwarts, to me, is just not feasible for the level of detail I wanted in a set. This set isn't aimed for kids (16+) so it makes sense not to have "playset" features. Even if there are a lot of 1x1 pieces, a licensed set for 400 compared to a SW UCS MF of 800 which only has 1k more pieces is a clear win. I agree with sellee, I don't see how this is "Below" average . I don't understand the criteria that was judged to call it below average. I can understand not liking the set and what it provided from a subjective stand point. To say that it doesn't look like what it's representing or delivers on what the set promises is objectively not true. Thanks for the review.
  4. Amazing. Will be adding this to my collection. How long did this design take you? Do you have any pictures of prototypes?
  5. There are connector spots ( technic axles it looks like). Even if it is just for portability it seems that if it does well enough they can totally make another D2C of this size to combine with it. My hopes aren't high but I don't think it's impossible to pull it off.
  6. I was considering that but then I'd have to figure out the windows(since the studs would be interfering with window placement. I wanted to save the masonry for the "foundation" (Bottom of the porch). I do plan on making the house tan with white accents ( pillars, windows fence)... that picture is really bad for colours. I guess I'll see how it looks in Stud.io before. I'm not one to use software for this stuff but I don't have the pieces on hand.
  7. Wow that is beautiful and definitely helps. Thank you so much My idea is to make the floors semi modular so I can remove each section. I guess I just wanted something that aesthetically looks nice while still keeping the basement/the form true to the original, which I think will be not feasible. Also, I'm attempting to decide the texture of the house and have narrowed it down to two possible bricks as I can't think of any others. Either this or this. The first one seems like too much but I'll play around with it. Any other ideas to create those thin vertical lines? Thank you again
  8. Hi there, I recently decided I'm going to attempt to build a scale model of my house. Now everything seems easy enough in terms of scaling since I have the floor plans etc of the house. The only issue I have is the basement. Since the basement is a full level below the mainfloor, how would I go about this? Since the cars parked on the driveway would ideally be on the "floor". Or should I elevate the main floor up 7-9 bricks high and go from there. I've been looking online for examples however haven't come across anything intuitive. Any advice is appreciated!
  9. As always, people look at leaked picture and hate it, then see the real thing and buy it. It's almost status quo in the last few years. Wait to see it before making a final decision based off a crappy picture on a plastic card. Bugatti had a lot of naysayers and then they magically changed their mind. I too agree I'm not the biggest fan of the proportions as of now but I'll reserve judgement/decision making until I see it for my self. I'm a fan of the Creator Expert vehicles but I think it sort of loses value (to me) when you add a license in there. A separate Aston Martin from other James Bond sets IMO would have been more appealing.
  10. I got EXTREMELY lucky yesterday and managed to find both the Quarter Cylinders(12 of them) and 45705(two of them) for about $1 each all in Dark Orange. I just randomly checked bricklink and it was there. I'll be building this in August in Dark Orange now. Very excited.
  11. Oh I've seen that. I thought maybe Lego announced something officially. Given the evidence I'm inclined to believe it but never know, they could throw us on a wild goose chase
  12. Wow thank you so much. I've been following this since day one. It looks UNREAL. Given that there is a great shortage of the Dark Orange colours has anyone tried to paint the external tank? I'm debating buying all the parts in white and painting them. It's only the 45705 I'm concerned about. I wonder if there's another way to replicate that shape? Painting is my last option/resort.
  13. I love the idea of a Bond car and maybe it's just me but I like the "plainness" for lack of a better term, of the creator cars. They're not really attached to anything(Franchise wise) and it's why I like them so much. I'm not a fan of Licensed sets (except car brands). I think this will be the first car, if it falls in the Creator Expert line that is licensed to more than just the car brand.
  14. That entire site looks like it was created by a bot. Very odd. Info is wrong too (didn't bother reading past the first sentence since it said the factory was in Italy)
  15. I don't see anything under the Mincraft sets, does anyone else? Can I also get a PM?
  16. Yeah. Can you imagine the sheer size of a Mini-fig scale Hogwarts? To do it justice you'd need like 10k+ parts easily. Not to mention the footprint it would create. Many people skipped the coaster cause of space reasons alone. Now think of Hogwarts. Before judging people should wait to see what it looks like. Technic Bugatti had the same issue where all of a sudden people who thought they wouldn't buy it before pictures decided they would after pictures. I'm willing to bet the same thing will happen with this.
  17. Nanofigures are like the ones from the Saturn V while Microfigures are 2 studs high.
  18. https://www.jamesbond.nl/lego-kondigt-speciaal-007-voertuig-aan/ I can't read it but it seems like Aston Martin Replied etc.
  19. Ohhh I hope so. I've been wanting an Aston! A DB5 is more than likely but he also drove a V8 Vantage which also is similar to the Jag. I'd prefer the Vantage but either or!
  20. Nice to see Canadians here! I'm in the GTA. I built your Aston Martin and Loxs Ford GT, both super awesome. https://imgur.com/a/zTLhkey Sweet timelapse.
  21. With the pneumatic hose it's possible but imo doesn't look as nice...it looks too bulky. I have to try a combo to make an 7L or 8L tile underneath. That or replace the wrenches with 1x1 clip pieces was another idea. This was the first iteration
  22. It's a pneumatic hose that I cut to 11studs, however I ordered some 11 LBG rigid hoses (Same as the ones that came in the box). I'll take a picture of when it comes in today. I think they'll look the same. The advantage of the hose is that you can manipulate it a bit more to get that little curve you see in the picture, Thanks!! I'm really surprised TLG didn't do something like this. Really strange. It doesn't use any illegal techniques and quite simple, and less pieces/stickers than using tiles. Strange. Yes, I'll take pics of pieces. It's very simple. I just used friction pins to stick in the little wrench pieces in two places. The LBG half pins don't work since they're friction less.
