  1. Side view is pretty close, I did a comparison on my own to see and it isn't far off. I love the lines of this car. I need the next 4 days to fly by.
  2. Usually comes out in August the creator expert cars but who knows at this point. I'm still speculating it's the Bugatti just because the Geneva sign said May..that's a pretty big error if it is one. I still think June it will be available via Lego Store and August to everyone else.
  3. There are two sets to be released on the 16th.
  4. There are only 2 of those in the world from what I know. Bugatti designed that car specifically for Gran Turismo (the video game). A few other manufacturers have their own "GT" cars as well that look more concept than anything. It's still crazy.
  5. Right but that isn't licensed. Licenses easily drive up the price of a model(now whether it's purely for profit or not is irrelevant, licensing anything costs money...Bugatti is still taking a risk on this as Lego could make a horrible model) . Additionally, looks of a car are subjective. I'd disagree that a Bugatti is just an engine with wheels (you can say that for 99% of cars out there)..but the engineering behind it is the reason they have the name they do. The original Porsche Model did have 4 wheel steering but Porsche asked Lego to take it out (this is in various interviews, although I'm not sure why). Both companies have to come to an agreement on what features it will include. The designers are passionate as the rest of us I'm sure but Lego's target market isn't people who like the super complex stuff(ie this forum). Have to remember the price comes from the R&D behind it too, it isn't just about the value of the physical pieces. That doesn't mean it isn't overpriced, I just think we don't know how much it's actually worth yet.
  6. No I've never seen that...so what's being released on May 16th? Now I'm even more confused. It says it would be available in May. So maybe that's the countdown for the regular stores and not D2C?
  7. I would think within the next 24 hours to hear something.
  8. No we're not sure. Given that it's 2 weeks release before hand I assume that they would release something. I still can't believe how good they've been about leaks. It's honestly impressive that no one has taken a picture or released even the functions it will have.
  9. Well truth is I think we've exhausted every topic on the car so far (at least that come to mind). That being said Hopefully something May 1st we see a pic or some more info.
  10. I think I'm in the "I don't care if they release new parts but it would be cool if they did". That being said I'm REALLY surprised that this car hasn't leaked or that Lego hasn't teased anything after the original. Marketing works because I'm super excited.
  11. Unfortunately I made Dougalds Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in the assumed Bugatti colours (before I knew this was coming) https://imgur.com/Qq7lAHw I didn't realize how rare Dark Azure was since all the parts were easy to find in this colour. I guess 2017 is when they released all all the parts in Dark Azure
  12. My guess is that they'll reveal the car May 1st, like pics, features etc and release for VIP June 1 and then Aug 1 for public.
  13. Probably over thinking, but is there a possibility that there is a significance to the pieces they left in the middle? Nothing new except maybe the 1x1 tile/print on the steering wheel. The Geneva Motorshow is def for the car loving demographic before Lego loving demographic so it's not like TLG was like "let's get people thinking about the pieces in the middle". Probably just random. Absolutely love the wheels though.
  14. Yeah I'm also waiting to see more info on this. Wasn't the Porsche already shown by this time of the year? I expect we'll see something in April.
  15. Wow.I just got everything for your Aston Martin. The GT is next but this will be right after assuming instructions are out. Amazing work dude!!
  16. Ah you're right. I guess I was thinking "licensed supercar for the road". Forgot about it. Yeah as I hit submit I realized that the car is older and TLG probably wouldn't go for it assuming they want to start a new trend of supercars. Maybe a McLaren Senna? Just hoping they stick with the scale of 1:8.
  17. When do you guys think it will be announced? 42083 that is. I'm inclined to speculate that it will be the Chiron, but I think I would like an Aventador in Bright Green. I don't think Lego has done a car in the colour (of a larger size that is). Picking up the Porsche today and Bricklinked all of the parts to the Aston Martin by Dugald and the Ford GT by Lux so I'll have a nice collection started!
