These are awesome! I love steam punk! The stage coach would have to be my favorite. A horse drawn hot air balloon stage coach? Brilliant! No ground friction. That would be great! They're a lot of fun to make and design.

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Trekkie99 replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Hey @VaderFan2187, I like your idea! The sets would probably be your typical types, (moon buggy, mobile laboratory, and assorted space ships) but they would all join together to make one large... Also, this makes sense realistically in the sense that one large vehicle travels to its destination and then detaches into smaller vehicles which then detach into more smaller vehicles!- 991 replies

Hey @Karalora, I started a topic awhile back on the SciFi forum with the same lamentation. You can find it here. in it I and others discuss the possibility of creator being a medium for classic space themed sets. It may be of interest to you.

Oh, haha! That's funny! Well glad I could help. By the way, it appears you also have a flickr account. Which IMO is the easiest to operate.

Or mocpages.

Agreed!

There have been some problems before with brickshelf as you can see on page four of this thread. Fortunately I've helped @tmctiger with this issue and may be able to do the same for you. Just link the thread and brickshelf links here and hopefully I can post them for you on the linked thread.

How could I provide power and/or data coupling between train cars?
Trekkie99 replied to TK2241's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Any chance these designs could be used for the PF system? I was curious if I could use them for my monorails in order to allow for a battery box in one car and a motor in another which would allow easy separation of the cars. -
The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Trekkie99 replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Haha! Lol. Sure, "classic space". "a new generation". That sounds cool! (It also sounds like star trek. And quite frankly anything with the word "generation" in it sounds star trekie to me.) But as I stated in one of my previous comments, don't over do it on the changes. Remember, we would want this to be a classic space theme. Not something vaguely representing CS.- 991 replies

It is sand green.
-
Heck, their are a lot of sand colors we could get that would be awesome, but sand colors might be deemed "drab" and "not colorful enough". This is understandable for the kiddies, but what about us AFOLs who want something a little more realistic? Hopefully we'll get some of these colors in future modulars.

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Trekkie99 replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Yes, I agree totally. A little bit of everything would work great as long as the designers take special note of the word "little". Just don't over do it! And yes, consistency is key in the sense that all the figures should have the same printing design with different base colors. On the flip side, I was super excited when Lego made the green classic space figs for Pete Reid's mech, but at the same time that pink space fig is one of my all time favorites. So as you can see I'm really torn on this issue, and I believe everyone is as well. But push come to shove? I would have to go with the original classic design.- 991 replies

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Trekkie99 replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Hey, here's a thought. If Lego were to bring back classic space, obviously we would want the original color scheme for the vehicles and moon bases. Grey and blue with transparent yellow for spaceships, and grey with transparent green for land vehicles. But what about the minifigs? Would we want them to keep their minimalist style and remain the same? Or maybe add some knee pads and what not? How about accenting colors like dark blue, dark red, chima yellow, etc.? Or what about a entire revamp? What do you think? Ideas? Suggestions? Let me know! Thanks.- 991 replies

Good idea. Or just do the entire LBM CMF as a separate poll to decide which one is best. -

Aunt May and green lantern. Aunt May because she's adorable (and also because I didn't care for the others), and green lantern because we waited forever for him! You could but me thinks no. -
Another great batmobile @TheBrickBuilder14!!! Much more simpler than many of your previous models, but none the less still awesome. I love the way you designed the back as well as the front with the neko knight shield. Thumbs up!

Small Ladle Car / Flask for Blast Furnace model
Trekkie99 replied to knotian's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Woah! That's cool!!! That tower is so huge. And the ladle car is very nice and clean. Thumbs up. -
Yes, definitely! Red should get much more attention than it does already. The thing is though, how do you make other red hues without them turning into pink or orange? I mean look at this for example. Now compare to blue. Lot more options. But then again, were just asking for sand red. That can't be hard right?
