  1. That's one hell of a set to start with. Can't wait to see you start making mocs!
  2. Just bought a brand new servo motor (sealed) for 25 eur. I'm so happy that i finally got around to order it. Can't wait for all the RC shenanigans.
  3. Thanks for sharing @T Lego That's exactly what i meant in the OP. That's amazing.
  4. @efferman hooked me up with an ingenious solution to my steering problem. It turned out great!
  5. Magnificent. Siisti katapultti :)
  6. Simplest solution is always the best.. I made a modification off of effermans 11 stud wide front axle: It's slightly more compact. But the problem is that the yellow axle that makes the wheels turn is only turning 45 degrees.. So using a steering servo would not work directly.. What kind of gearing do i need to make it a 90 degree turn?
  7. Hmm, i need to redesign the whole thing again.. As a positive note, i'm thinking about buying the snowmobile set for those 3 ball joint wheel hub parts. And the offroad formula set for those control arms. The reason why i want it setup this way is because i don't want it to be too wide but it still needs to have a proper suspension. Do you have a suggestion for a different way to make it without making it wider?
  8. I've started tinkering with the simple basics.. This is something i'd go for: (The yellow bushings are at the front end and the gear rack is at the back end.) I like having the springs go trough in the middle like that.. I wonder if i can fit a steering servo in the middle somehow.. If somebody wants to help me out a little, here's the Link for the LXF! I might give up on the whole motor in the middle idea because i don't want this moc to be too massive. This is already the max width i'd go for on this front axle.
  9. Yes. I'm reading the axle collection thread currently. Can't wait till my steering servo arrives in the mail!
  10. Hi guys! I need help with a front axle that'll have a motor in the middle. The main drive motor that drives the car will be an L motor and i'd like to build a suspension for the front axle while having it turn by a servo motor that's in the middle or at the back of the car. But the main feature would be that when you open the hood, instead of a brick built engine, it'll have the L motor itself in the middle that drives the rear wheels. (edit: It's going to be a tuner/street car. Bonus points if i can get it to drift.) The axle should be 11 or 13 wide. I also need to figure out how can i get as much as steering angle as i can. I'll be using this part as the linkage to attach the spring: And i'll use this to attach the wheel: EDIT: I can also go for no motor in the front if the servo motor replaces it. But having more steering angle is good.
  11. It's a known problem win honor 7 phones that their software is not supported.. Their own software can't locate the phone that's plugged into the PC with USB. Reinstalling the software is not possible cause it doesn't exist anymore. I even tried connecting the phone to the PC with wifi using third party programs but it can't transfer photos.. Emailing every single photo one at a time would be a massive effort and a colossal waste of time. I'd rather wait till tax returns and get a proper phone that works. Oh boy do i hate technology.. I just want a phone that i can plug with USB, open my computer, see the phone next to harddrive and just click it and drag and drop images from phone to computer.. But no. It's just an empty folder. I've tried everything.. Even the USB fault bug mode thing in the phone settings with developer tools but nothing works.
  12. Mechbuilds projects are on a break now due to my computer refusing to get photos out from phone to pc. I will be back when i get a new phone. later this year. Future projects will probably be construction equipment.
  13. Who doesn't like tractors? They're awesome. In Finland, it's the ultimate symbol of manhood to own a tractor if you live in the countryside.
  14. I wonder if those programs take in account of lego motor torque. Some times you have a mechanism so heavy that the motor will bog down and die. It would be helpful if those programs took in account the torque needed and the motors maximum power output.
  15. Thanks! Just what i was looking for!
  16. Instead of creating another thread, i'm going to resurrect this. First question: I need help with articulated steering! I'll be using two smaller linear actuators and for steering. It'll be M-motor driven. Does anybody have a mechanism like this i could copy and modify? Second question: It'll be roughly 42030 size and it's a harvester. Will the triangle beam support the weight or should i use two turntables?
  17. Tracked truck moc! Driven by worm gears for MASSIVE torque but slow speed. (2 L motors) Hitch that goes up and down and an accessory shaft. I used a modified version of the arocs cab for the cabin. Clever use of tracks as a back wall. Pics: :)
  18. What is the fastest combination of motors + gears for a ripsaw? Using only PF M,L,XL (Buggy motor is very expensive) Also being pure lego so no third party options. (s-brick, buwizz, ect....) How do you get a fast ripsaw?
  19. Oh.. The title is different than the part name.. Man that threw me off hard.
  20. It shows 81,6 as the size of wheel on brickowl.. https://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-wheel-81-6-x-15-motorcycle-2903 It seems that it's a problem on brickowl.
  21. How does the size actually work in lego? When you compare: Wheel 75 x 17mm (88517) to a Wheel 81.6 x 15 Motorcycle (2903) The 88517 is obviously bigger than the 2903.. What do the numbers mean?
