  1. I don’t know what’s weirder, no Bob or LEGOs refusal to do Jokers hair in an accurate dark green. What’s up with that?
  2. Looks quite good without stickers, though the hanging signs being bare looks bad. I would like to buy prints of those at the very least but it looks like it'll be a while before one of those is available. EDIT: You know, a comment on a review of an older set made me realize... we really do have so much for Harry Potter right now, and yet still no Fang!
  3. I find it funny that they're pushing Iron Man vs Thanos as the Marvel equivalent to Batman vs Joker. It KIND of makes sense, but... in the scope of all things Marvel it's kind of silly.
  4. Probably to go for modern appeal with Abby as well as a female character for more inclusive play (using my marketing brain here). Oscar and/or Grover may have just been over budget after that.
  5. If they are saving Gringotts for the Deathly Hallows tie-in wave, should we start getting worried that they will cannibalize the build for the Ironbelly and/or minecart sections?
  6. So the TIE doesn't actually come with a pilot at all?
  7. Nothing confirmed about a delay or anything, but the photographer's head in Diagon Alley is almost an exact match for Karkaroff.
  8. I wonder if the Karkaroff/Durmstrang Boat set was only delayed so that it wouldn't compete with Barracuda Bay and Creator Pirate Ship? IDK why else they would delay a pretty classic GoF set. Also, has anyone assembled Diagon Alley stickerless yet? I'm curious how it looks because I don't like the stickers and would rather wait for printed brick options for the front of the stores.
  9. I can see them not including Oscar but putting a trash can in as a nod to his house.
  10. Most of the winter waves look terrible this year, honestly. At least this one looks sort of interesting.
  11. I think the only chance we have of getting McGonnagal in a dress is a Battle for Hogwarts set.
  12. This is the best year for 1-2 art design/casting fans, between the perfect Dumbledore, Diagon Alley and now OG Flitwick. All I can do now is pray for Pomfrey.
  13. Wait, is Flitwick the original design? If so this is the best wave ever.
  14. For some reason I don’t expect Beskar Mando in that small set, but at the same time I remember when Enfys Nest was in a cheap set too. Considering we have all the good guys aside from the Ugnaught and the named Mandos I wonder who will be in the set? Maybe it actually is the Ugnaughts ranch and the vehicle is the lizards? I wonder if Mando will be mostly in AFOL sets after the success of the Crest? Not tying Moff Gideon into the next TIE set was a sad move but he’ll be around for a while.
  15. Yeah, it looks like we're getting very good $120+ sets at the expense of the rest being pretty bad or juvenile (even for kids, who deserve better).
  16. I'm just surprised they're making a "kid friendly" Imperial Shuttle. I can understand making more affordable X-Wings and TIEs because they're iconic, but is any kid out there clamoring for the shuttle? I think they just don't really care about making any really good builds that won't net them less than $100 per sale.
  17. Seems like it's time for AFOLs to predominantly check out of Star Wars sets unless they are helmets or $100+. The occasional strange set like the Mando one might be cool but this is clearly being divided into "AFOL Stuff" and "Kid stuff" with little inbetween.
  18. I know he's not a big deal in the movie but I'd like Burton's Commissioner Gordon. Bob would be great though (or the bald henchman with the boombox).
  19. Sounds like they severely nerfed the apartment building, but that was to be expected. I just hope it has a back to it.
  20. Ha, Cookie Monster looks ridiculous, but at least it's funny in a good way. He looks like a Times Square version.
  21. The neck actually matches up with how the Bert mold looks.
  22. Out of curiosity, has anyone posted a picture of what the set looks like without stickers?
  23. Will Big Bird be getting big legs?
  24. I'm going to laugh if the only reason Ratatouille didn't get approved the first time was because they couldn't make a Remy mold. But NOW...
  25. Honestly, this new mold confirmation just makes Winnie the Pooh a lot more interesting.
