Echo Base, or you mean Assault on Hoth? I am getting it, since I sold all my old Hoth sets that are now retired. Good way to get some of them back. Plus it's not a horrible set in my mind. Its Lego, Star Wars, and OT... so I'm in.

Yeah, the superstructure sits really high. I was more referring to the rear of the ship where the engines are. The domes are really hard to replicate, so I understand your frustration there. Jerry's ISD is really awesome, would have been awesome to see an interior in that bad chicken. I think I will use his SNOT technique on my next ISD.

This is just incredible ISD MOC! Very well done! I love how you used the DS halves as engines that is just awesome! The interior is superb, I really like how you depicted the bridge! I would recommend a way to find a way to make your shield generator domes bigger, even though it may be a challenge espciabbly in SNOT. Also to echo another recommendation of finishing the tiling the hull. I do like how you used the different tile plates to add texture to the hull. How did you attached the hull coverings? Like my MOC some proportions are a bit off in some areas, but compromises have to be made based on the size of the MOC. Where in the US are you located, would love to check in out in person sometime. Thanks for the honorable mention, I greatly appreciate it. Again, superb job! Thats how my idea started, even though I initially wanted to do the New Republic ISD from the Clone Wars. Interesting.

Not a fan of the Rebels, but since Vaders TIE and the A Wing can pass for O/T I plan on picking the set up. Would have been really cool if they remodeled Vader's helmet after Ralph McQuarrie's concept.

While it is a kit bash, I'm buying it since it incorporates a few sets I sold and have yet to buy back. Plus it's OT and those are the only sets I collect aside from TFA sets. These sets are designed for kids, with the UCS for older kids. Like Bernie Loomis said, "Show me the play value." There is a lot of play value in a set like this, which is apparentjy is good selling point.

I am, how you Brits say, chuffed in missing $10 off both of those sets. My Target had neither set in stock for pickup on the 1st or 2nd. Everytime I went to order online I was unable to do so. Oh well, I have $75.00 in gift cards, guess I'll be making a trip to the Lego Store this weekend. Hopefully they will have them in stock. I have heard the TFA sets have been flying off the shelves since with the release of the movie.

Still no TFA sets in my AO, at least as of yesterday. This is at Tagret and Walmart.

This...right here. Personally I hope Vaders TIE is not a Rebels set. I woukd like to see an updated Interceptor and Bomber too.

My Target says they have it in stock, but the shelves are empty. I guess I could ask to see if they have them in the back. Most of their Lego is still wiped out from Christmas, to include one of my Walmarts.
