  1. Did anyone out there manage to save a copy of the picture of the new police station? I've been away three weeks, log on today and see this topic, only to find Lgeo has had the picts removed from the link! Buggar!! I've got 7237 here pending my thoughts on the newer station. Depending on which one I like, I'll either sell my 7237 or keep it. Thanks!!
  2. The Fluxington layout is fantastic!! I really like the stadium! Beats my single-street town!! *sweet* Got any pictures of your Fire Station?
  3. Both Creator sets are fantastic! Only downsides are there's no interior furnishings and they both need windows on the back walls to let a bit of light in. Also, the garage for the red / white house isn't long enough to accept any small City vehicles (i.e. the yellow car from the Service Station / Doctor's Car, etc). Don't let this put you off, they both build up really nicely. Look great too!! *wub* Just need some road plates now.... *sweet*
  4. Here's the recent activity in my Main Street! First up, an overview: (No road plates yet!) Next, we zoom in on the school, where it's Career's Day. While half of the Station is away, the other half are carrying out the daily tasks: The local traffic cop is enforcing the speed limits: Some workmen are busy trying to create a parking area for the Service Station: The Garbage truck is filling up: Finally, one of the locals is about to go driving in his car. Just another day downtown! *sweet* What's happening in your town?
  5. Picked up last Friday the Service Station (7993) and Creator house (4956). Had a great weekend building!! *sweet*
  6. For what its worth, here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LEGO-City-Police-St...1QQcmdZViewItem I don't think it's quite the bargain now; $AU70 with three days to go. Oh well! :-$
  7. I noticed today that eBay Australia had a 7237 at auction with five days to go at about $AU30 or there-abouts. I can't search for you here at work, maybe you could google it. I'll try and post a link tomorrow after work if you like.
  8. Mate, I had the same dilemma. Then, my local Target decided to have 20% off Lego and the current Police Station was on sale, so I put it on lay-by and figured my dilemma had been sorted out! :-) It's going to be hard to keep it in the box though; I'm waiting to see what the new one looks like. If I like the new one, then the current on is going to eBay! Either way, I reckon I've had a win and the Mrs doesn't mind as well, which I reckon is half the battle won! :-D
  9. I reckon these sound like the goods! Something just that little bit different to give an added interest to Lego City Inc! :-)
  10. Yep, 7237. As hard as it is though, I'm going to keep it in it's box, pending pictures / description of the new upcoming Police Station. If it kicks butt over this current Station, then to eBay it goes! :-)
  11. Target and Kmart are having their toy sales, Lego is 20% off. I just lay-byed the current Police Station for $112 and at Kmart the Service Station for $48 and the Creator house (with red roof) for $53. When they're paid off, I'm going to have fun building!!!! :-D
  12. Hi there! Any news or pics on the new Police station? I'm thinking of getting 7237, as it will be on sale very soon at a near-by shop, but I might hold off for the new one.
  13. Hi there! Welcome onboard! My opinion is to get it! I really like it! Lego are getting back to their roots with this kit. I think one of the big pluses is the way all the building modules link together with technic pins. This makes it really easy to MOC some extra engine bays to accommodate the other vehicles in the Fire set. I also like the computers in the office and watchroom!
  14. Genius!! I had wondered how you did that!!
  15. Klaus-Dieter - I really like your ideas, in particular the pharmacy and the taxi rank!
  16. Hi there from another newbie! Hope you will enjoy your stay as I have so far!! :-)
  17. I love these ideas. I think they would be fantastic for anyone's layout (including mine eventually!!) Also, I'd love to see a backhoe, in the vein of 8455 Back-Hoe, but obviously scaled-down to minifig, if it hasn't been done yet.Wouldn't mind an Airport Fire Section, sort of in the vein of 381, Police Station. This way you have a couple of engine bays, a watchroom and an equipment store / workshop. A bank would be awesome! I could then employ my Armoured Car and Police ;-) to ward off would-be thieves! A revamped horse stud / stable setup would be great for my daughter, like set 6379. This way you could also have a lest one subset like set 6359, an SUV (with doors!) towing a horse float.
  18. Ban that man!! :-D I am in much agreement though that there has to be more of a range in themes. I love my Emergency Services, but I really need a town to protect! :-D
  19. I like the look of the Emergency Treatment Centre. I don't like the look at Lego's current instalment; I'm not a fan of David Hasselhoff!! :-D
  20. Without a doubt, 6382!! Although the baton could quite easily be passed onto 7945 which really tickles my fancy and its not in the survey!!
  21. I really liked 381, as I had this as a kid, but in today's day and age, I couldn't go past 7237 so I voted for that. I'm still toying with the idea of getting one. Money and storage and the limiting factors!! :-D
