  1. I originally started trying to create a desert version of the Rebel Airspeeder. Instead I ended up inventing a space variant instead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I figure in this version the rear gun is an ion cannon, and these small, fighters use their speed to dodge enemy fire and disable important targets, giving regular starfighters like X-Wings an opening to quickly dispatch the target. It'd be for situations where Y-Wings are too slow, but would only be effective against larger targets if executed quickly. I don't know why there'd be a space version of an airspeeder, but I had fun.
  2. Looks great! I was thinking about making this modification to my own Snowspeeder, along with a couple of T-shaped panel bricks to stop the pilots rattling around.
  3. Thanks! Funny, it turned out quite a bit bigger than I'd expected, not huge, but it was a relief to pick it up and it feel like a solid thing.
  4. KENOBIIIEEEEAAAUUGH! Looks about right. His robot legs weren't really noticeable in Rebels. A lot of the time they just looked like greaves.
  5. I've finally built it IRL, check the first post for pics! :D
  6. I'm not sure I can do much about the curve, but I can certainly rework the secondary wings.
  7. I think I might have to revise a few connections first. The main thing it's missing is a display stand. I'd never seen those before, but I see the resemblance.
  8. Perhaps you could replace the two levers on the top of the wing with some sort of bar piece that clips to the fuselage? It might not be particularly strong, but it would stop them flapping. :)
  9. They're perfect. I don't think I've ever seen such an accurate Lego A-Wing before.
  10. Thanks guys. Yeah, I wasn't claiming "first", just saying it seemed to be uncommon. :) I'd love to build it one day, but I don't think I have any space to display it.
  11. Thanks! I've uploaded a Stud.io file to my Bricklink gallery, there's a link to that in my signature.
  12. I thought so. :P
  13. I just downloaded it, really nice placement for the astromech, too. Matches this really well.
  14. Really nice E-Wing! It never seemed to get a definitive "look", so it's quite fun that we have so many variations of this ship. I really like the shaping of the nose, makes me wish I'd remembered the ARC when trying to build similar shapes! Does it have an astromech slot? :)
  15. Thanks! The wings are linked by gears, I'm not sure if they interlock properly, but the upper wings are held in the flight position with a small ball joint.
  16. I thought I'd build something while waiting for my E-Wing parts. I don't intend to build this IRL any time soon, but I've not seen many Lego versions of the Starviper, so I decided to see how it would turn out. So I present possibly the most awkwardly shaped ship in Star Wars. :P And a reference. If I ever get around to building it for real, I'll be sure to bump this. :) New version with instructions. https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/model.page?idModel=6733
  17. Great build! Always fun to see EU ships in Lego form. :)
  18. Nice! I like the pistol used to angle the lamp.
  19. I'm assuming it's a custom minifigure made using only official Lego parts and prints.
  20. I really like the shape of this. It's kinda sleek and blocky at the same time.
  21. That's an impressive beast!
  22. Hey! Thanks Cartographer, I thought an extra layer might be necessary. I've incorporated another plate into the build to avoid having the hinge pry itself away. That's a really nice E-Wing, Tyutyu. Lots of angles there. I like the style of building, it's something I hope to try eventually, but I need to rebuild my collection of physical bricks before I can really try it out properly. :) I've made a few alterations to the detail of the body and given it a whole new nose. This is what I'll be building IRL, so fingers crossed it doesn't fall apart! https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/model.page?idModel=5948
  23. Thanks! The canopy piece isn't in the program I'm building it in. When I order the parts I'll get one.
  24. I quite like how the longer nose turned out, though I still haven't come up with a good way to give it the one continuous slope that separates it from the X-Wing. I'm not so sure about the wingtip connections. It seems just colouring the one I was using white looks more solid than using clips.
