This pretty much sums it up. I agree that I’m excited for the Fire Stone Mech. Meanwhile, Journey to the Skull Dungeons does nothing for me, despite the praise it’s received from across the fanbase. I wouldn’t hold out for an “unambiguously good” wave of Ninjago because that would look so different to each fan.

So far there appear to be pods for Cole and Jay. Nothing incredible, seeing as they have the same torso/leg design as the leaked Lloyd figure, but they do come with newly colored kendo masks, which is pretty cool

I saw it Friday. It was a good time. Although Ninjago is my favorite theme by far, I thought this was worse than TLBM. Some thoughts that I haven't seen mentioned yet:

There are certainly a few moments where the continuity is a little suspect (especially when it comes to timelines and time travel) but ultimately I find it to be easily excusable as it really doesn't detract from the spirit of the show. If you have specific plot holes to discuss, I'm sure we can straighten a few things out.- 4,591 replies

Forgive my ignorance, but how are these going to be available? Will they be a gift with purchase, or available for sale? Any chance they'll be online? -

At my Target the Water Strider was marked at $39.99. I could have sworn it was meant to be $30. Any ideas? -

I'm trying to figure out if that sword holder in the fourth photo down is new or not. At first I thought it was the same as the Prince of Persia mold that appeared in TOE, but it doesn't seem to have a neck bracket anywhere. Seems odd that they'd make a new mold just for this though. Has it appeared before? -

I wouldn't mind a coffee robot minifigure in the future... I wonder if it will show up in future seasons? That being said, this definitely takes place before HoT, but I'm not sure how much earlier. It might not even be canon, but it doesn't really add much to the plot so to me it doesn't matter if it's canon or not!- 4,591 replies

I'll wait and see what the hoods look like with the lower half + hairpiece combo, but as of now I'm not really feeling it. They look good when combined, but pretty odd when only one is attached. -

Definitely look into Bricklinking the parts for this one and then building it yourself (with instructions from LEGO's website). That's the only way I was able to get both the Earth Dragon and the Lightning Dragon for even remotely close to MSRP. -
And, what's more, if you have an iPhone and call Siri 'puter, she'll quote the movie

It's important to remember that TLG is a very big company with a lot of experience. It seems extremely likely that a lot of thought went into this decision, and they ultimately did it because they believe it was best for the company as a whole. While it may be a pain to wait, I have a feeling it will be worth it in the end. And, I expect new trailers and even set reveals in the next few months. -

I, for one, would actually really be into a live action spinoff of Ninjago. Yes, it could end up being really cheesy (think Spy Kids), but if they did it in a similar style as the new Power Rangers movie, I could see it working- 4,591 replies

I may be forced to eat my own words about the villains. The generic shark-people are not looking good. Hopefully there will be more, I mean this is only one trailer, and all the sets will have to be populated somehow. -

Long time lurker, first time poster, here in my favorite theme's topic. I genuinely like the look of the figures we've seen so far. I think every character's personality has been accurately captured and I'm excited to see how they look "in the brick". And, if TLM and TLBM are anything to go off of, I think we can definitely expect alternate outfits and facial expressions for the main characters. I think there definitely will be a larger variety of villains in the movie. Keep in mind that we've seen maybe 5 seconds of villains on screen in the teaser. Part of Ninjago's charm is its zany and diverse villain lineup. I highly doubt the designers would want to reduce any "bad guy" army to a bunch of clones. -
