New years resolution and all that: Stop being a <blank>. Okay then, onto most recent discussion. On Icarax: Review. I think he's alright, I mean the gear arm isn't spectacular. The Kraahkan looks weird with a two plus rod as eyes on a Metru head. I tried it. Kinda weird. They could have made the eye piece orange. On the Phantoka: I'd say get Lewa, Trexxen. Despite all his flaws something compells me to buy him. And then play with him. A lot. Vamprah looks to be the best of the Makuta so far, if you'd rather get one of them. Well I should get the Matoran by next week. Yay for post-Christmas sales...

Yeah, I was just confused at the logic. It's been cleared up: I dunno. I'd rather vent my anger here than on real people. Oh, I thought that you thought they do. :P Well I say he is cool. Now we both have our opinions out on the table. So we'll leave them there. Unless you want to know why I think he's cool, but I doubt it. I'm younger than you. My opinion is less valid. The set designers have already done advanced sets (2001, 2002 large sets), they've proven they can be inventive, so why do it again, especially when it didn't sell in the first place? The set sales are improving, so that means they're pleasing more people with the newer sets. I think. I might be wrong. I think the spinny shields are fun, so yeah. Play value. Better than nothing. Hey, they could have done it without gears, but they included them. You can also sorta judge it if you have every piece on the set and can build it yourself... lol. Well I will have every piece after I get Antroz. But he comes out when Icarax does, which makes MOCing him pointless. D'oh.

That doesn't make sense. "He still sucks" doesn't apply to any of the Toa Mata, does it? Two functional gears make them advanced and amazing, right? It makes up for that fact that they have less articulation than the 14-piece 2008 Matoran, right? Add to that the fact that I like the Mata, which that means they automatically suck. Why shouldn't Icarax have a chest launcher anyway? Does it go against the story, of which you know next to nothing? Or is it the lack of complexity? Even though he has gears, which are really advanced stuff, which is why the new sets, while doubling in piece count since the Mata, are less advanced? Wait, whose logic is twisted, again? On the down side though, his Kongu Mahri eyes are still lime as opposed to orange like the rest of the evil 2008 sets. On the up side to that, you can only really see them when the mask is flipped to its ugly state, which I won't do often. And the red 2 plus rod acts as eyes for the normal side. Wow, a use for a red plus rod! :P Well, I looking at these new pics, I approve of Icarax. I wasn't a huge fan before. I can't believe how bad that box pose is. 8-

Actually I'm just trying to get a quote from you, hence my request for a quote in my previous post. If you didn't want to argue with me, perhaps you shouldn't have replied to my post in the first place, hmmmm? I don't see why you expected to just be able to comment and me not defend back, like it's wrong if I comment on your posts and perfectly acceptable that you can comment on mine, even though the post you commented on wasn't directed at you. Well, it was a joke. I think I'll quote you on the Tridax thing when pics of the swamp Makuta are released. I'd like to know your reasoning for Tridax pods on the Makuta in the swamp, since there's no one there that they need to use them on, and they'd just fall on the ground anyway -- the sky Makuta drop them, they don't launch them. Pohatu has propellors/claws/drills. That's three, right? Well, let's just pretend it's two so you can make fun of him. Kopaka should really go back to swordsmanship, because that will help against Makuta more than light-energy blasters. And a targeting light beam, especially when you're fighting beings who have natural dodge abilities, is immensely impractical. Hang on, when did he do swordfights? It was to channel his ice power. Sword fights were too violent, remember? Well, he has new armour, which explains the colour change, which I happen to like. It's personal taste whether you like lime-grey. I'd say you only don't like it because 1 -- grey is used a lot, and 2 -- Lewa Mata didn't have grey. As opposed to whether it's a good colour scheme or not. Well guess what, I didn't like how 99% of socket joints in 2001 were black, but I didn't go on about it. Exactly. :-P Although technically it's not useless if you can use it, is it? And Kanohi. Pessimism training: Assume the Makuta of August will have Tridax pods even if they don't, just to get yourself worked up about nothing. Assume the Tridax pods are useless even though they surprised me by adding technic plus holes on either side. Assume the leeches are useless bits of rubber even though they have a plus hole on their undersides to attach to sets like leeches. Assume Lewa has wings, even though he obviously doesn't, just to pretend they all have wings. Assume doing sets the way you want will make them sell better, even though they did focus groups and gave them ten weapons to choose from for the main one they all have, not all of them launchers. Assume giving Kopaka a sword and shield will make him cooler, even though there is already a set of him with a sword and shield which you can buy on eBay. Or you already own him. Complain Icarax has the old Makuta's mask, even though he actually has the old Makuta's mask. Complain about bulk even though they're supposed to be skeletal and it looks cool. I could go on for ages. But seriously. Don't you think some people LIKE these sets?
