  1. Now, in 2008, I'll find out how Mata Nui is awakened. So I can take the basic method and make it the ending of 2001. It's the short version of the Bionicle story. Awesome. I still like the official story though. Hey, I can have two Bionicle stories. Why not? *sheds tear as he watches the Takua-Vakama beach scene* Forgive me for getting caught up in the moment.
  2. I just came to the conclusion: 2001 is the best year. I love 2001. And it took me all this time to realise it. I laugh at myself sometimes.
  3. i lol'd Not necessarily, they started making BIONICLE a year in advance, as in, 2000.
  4. They're not really going back to their roots -- Mata Nui was "designed" in 2000.
  5. If they're wrong, explain the increase of set sales.
  6. I was just going to complain that the Niazesk's leg armour flaps around, but then I realised it gives it a more winged appearance, so it's cool. Yeah, I built it. Awesomeness. Anyway. 2001 was innocent-like because the Matoran had celebrations. See how those were lacking in 2006? Celebrations ftw.
  7. It's still gay. Yeah, the combiner's pretty good. Whoever said Tridax pods were useless?
  8. Hawt pics. Wub Tahu.
  9. AXONN ON STEROIDS! Sorry, I just had to say it. :P
  10. I don't see how the story is repetitive...
  11. It's a zombie horse, it can't die.
  12. I disagree. *tongue*
  13. For those too lazy to earn them ( :-P ): Prototype Pohatu propellor (alliteration lol) Prototype Pohatu Prototype Avsa Prototype Vamprah Large Phantoka poster (pdf file) Prototype Jutlin (hardly any different...) Unknown mask prototype Prototype Kakama (like the Jutlin, hardly any differences) Ignika wallpaper Another prototype Pohatu propellor (whoop-dee-doo) Phantoka and Karda Nui avatars Prototype Miru (Omg! So different.) Jetpack prototypes Prototype Kopaka *shrug* I'll update this as the games come out.
  14. You mean the one with the Toa Ignika forming at the end? Yeah, that was already in the Australian LEGO Magazine. I have it. :-P
  15. Do you have the set? You didn't make that clear. I don't think there's much of a difference in the blues, I have the set and other blue sets.
  16. EDIT: See first post.
  17. I just wanted to know what the part number for the Jedi cape is (the brown one). Thanks in advance. EDIT: I found it, this can be closed. Sorry for any inconvenience. >.<
  18. I doubt they look through Brickshelf. How do you know they didn't come up with the hands by themselves? It's not impossible. New thoughts: Gali: ... Whoa. She looks about three thousand times better now. Even the crosshair looks acceptable. Tahu: Er... could he possibly get better? The Hau looks like a classic... lives up to the original. That pose looks familiar... Onua: I like what's visible. I'd like to see how the torso's constructed, as well as what that blaster attachment looks like. I think the colours could have been distributed better, but it'll probably look good in person. Krika: For forty pieces, he's pretty damn good. I'm not sure about them using that red with white, it didn't exactly look godly on Pridak, but maybe they pulled it off well this time. Gorast: That's better. Nice wings, now that I can see them. Still think she's too short though. Bitil: I might have changed the feet to black, but he looks pretty good. I'd like to see those wings folded up. Maybe a bit more height couldn't have hurt. Takanuva: God. He's perfect. Well, almost. He's still awesome besides the shin holes. Rockoh T3: It looks better in this picture, but it is yet to impress me. I like Pohatu, I guess. Jetrax T6: Looks worse. I don't know. It's okay I suppose... Axalara T9: This is the good one. Awesomeness. Yeah, I don't have much to say on the vehicles. Hah. Nynrah Ghost Blasters: You can see in Onua's picture that they're not pre-assembled like the previous two blasters. So, Nynrah respect +1. Still don't know about the accordion thing, it sort of depends on the texture of the plastic. I like how the Toa have their blasters in neutral colours. Unlike the Makuta.
  19. Here's Tahu and Gali. Vultraz is apparently not uploaded yet.
  20. I really love Antroz right now, but I'll decide when I get Icarax, he's the last set for me to buy, of the Phantoka wave. My favourite's probably one of the Makuta, but I think the six Phantoka and Icarax are the greatest sets LEGO has created. Seriously.
  21. Australia's getting the comics this year. Not just #13, the whole lot. Although we do get #13 in June. :-P
  22. I'm mainly talking about the 2007 books -- City of the Lost, Prisoners of the Pit, and Downfall. Give them a try. ;-) Like I said, <insert that thing I said about Star Wars V>. Oh, and Shadows in the Sky too. It's probably good, although I haven't read it. :-P
  23. Yes, several times, in City of the Lost. :-P Oh, the comics? Hm. Best not to judge the story by that, it's like judging The Empire Strikes Back based on an internet summary instead of watching the movie. So, read the books if you want to judge it. ;-) Well, they need to sell. If they sell, it means people like them. You're just not one of those people. Which is fine. :-) You and others just need to look at it from their point of view -- why hold the minority above the majority? Thankfully there are other LEGO themes that interest you, I assume, otherwise you wouldn't be here. :-P Hm. You should read Shadows in the Sky. I'm pretty sure you're judging the story by the comics/advertisements (the advertisements aren't actually canon, by the way), which just isn't fair on the story as a whole. When you've read it, call me. :-P On the thing about the world being screwed every year, well, that's not the case: 2001: Toa Mata fighting Teridax's minions, trying to awaken Mata Nui. 2002: Toa Mata fighting Teridax's minions, trying to awaken Mata Nui. 2003: Toa Nuva fighting Teridax's minions, trying to awaken Mata Nui. Also Takanuva fights Teridax. 2004: Toa Metru fighting Teridax's minions without knowing Teridax is involved. Stakes are the city of Metru Nui, as far as they know. Mata Nui is put to sleep at the end. 2005: Part two of the 2004 story. Stakes being the population of Metru Nui. 2006: Toa Inika fighting Piraka to save Mata Nui's life. The world's screwed. 2007: Toa Mahri fighting Barraki to save Mata Nui's life. The world's screwed. 2008: Toa Nuva trying to awaken Mata Nui like in the first three years. The world's still screwed if the Makuta don't get out of the core, since the Ignika will asplode every life. See? The world was only screwed for three years. :-P But I know what you mean on one thing -- and I believe there is one thing missing from BIONICLE. The Matoran no longer have celebrations. What's with that? I liked how those buggers partied. But really, who says they're not trying to restore peace anymore? It's the same as it ever was, just now they don't celebrate. But maybe that's the key thing? Who knows. Oh well, your complaints are legitimate, with your knowledge being from only the comics. I still think you should read the books though. Speaking of comics, my friend received this month's Australian LEGO Magazine, we get the comics this year!
