Z-Blob or whatever it's called is probably going to be our cute sidekick like Spencer. I'm hoping with the amount of effort Lego are putting into this theme with a full TV show etc, that it'll be Hidden Side done right and will become an evergreen theme. I feel like if it fails, we may not see a new in-house theme for a long time.

I wonder if this new theme will be set in "our world" like Hidden Side, Alien Conquest etc. and some of the crazy vehicles will just be one offs built by Mrs Castillo or Mr Oz? Or if it'll be in some sort of alternate world like Chima/Nexo Knights/Ninjago where Crocodile Cars and Spacebuses are a thing? I think I'm hoping for the home world of the heroes to be basically our world, kinda like how Lego City is; but they're accessing the dream world in secret so it's not affecting society at large. Kind of like how the 7 heroes of the Hidden Side theme were fighting Ghosts every night, but most ordinary people had no idea. I've been thinking that there's not been many cartoons/TV shows based around dreams for lego to draw from, so this theme should feel pretty unique. The only dream related media I can think of are;

I don't get why Maple's even on a Lego forum when they have a deep hatred of people discussing Lego themes and what can be possible with Lego. Life's too short to pay attention to hate and joylessness, so they're on my ever increasing block list. 🤣😂🤣 Yeah, I like how the two themes complement each other in some ways, it makes it easier to get lots of parts to MOC a certain type of building/scene when there are two themes covering the same sort of ideas

If Lego are determined to do Marvel and the other CMF series as boxes going forward, they should go back to having a unique barcode number for each character, then people who don't want to risk duplicates or unwanted figures are happy, but kids/casual buyers still get the surprise experience.

My weird insane crackpot headcanons based on sets/press releases/stuff from the show/YT reviews that I'm overthinking and reading way too much into that will never be in the official canon... Olivia's dad Lucas secretly fathered Amelia, that's why she looks like Olivia. Maybe Laura knows and that's why they divorced. Emma's in a Psychiatric Hospital after going on a cheese stealing rampage. Mia got stung by a rare breed of Scorpion in Africa and had an experimental treatment that made her freckles disappear. Olly is a slave owner but disguises his whips as cat toys and pretends he's from a working class family so nobody knows. Marcel is a secret Supernatural Investigator obsessed with finding the portal to Elvendale. Isaac is one of his fake identities he uses to hide the fact that he's hunting monsters, and he's a master of disguise who also pretends to be the Janitor at The International School to see if any of the kids mention anything mysterious. His Organic businesses are a front to fund his investigations and a way to discover if anyone's bringing magical fruit from Elvendale into the human world. That's why he keeps odd hours. Charli may also have once been Evelyn. Zac is allergic to pets. Principal Hale moved to Heartlake from Elvendale and became human, but retains enough magic to see the emoji pop ups we see on screen when the Friends characters are thinking/having emotions and that's why she's a good Principal, using her insight to guide her students in fulfilling ways. I was hoping for a more generic Dalmatian to army build, but my wallet will be happier. I wish we'd got a set based on Disney's Once Upon a Time series since it combines so many Disney properties in the same universe, making it the most unique thing Disney has ever done. But I suppose Kingdom Hearts was a more popular take on the same idea. I wonder if we'll see any Kingdom Hearts sets down the line if Zelda and Sonic sell well?

Me too. the yellow characters often get around 4+ facial expressions each (Hidden Side/Ninjago) so they're great for stop motion animation/photography etc. The fleshies tend to have 2 facial expressions at the most, so are less useful. * Unpopular opinion time; Putting the upcoming 2023 & 2024 CMF in boxes means people will be opening boxes in store to get the ones they want and leaving opened boxes on the shelf that people won't buy because they've been tampered with. We'd better get Cosmo, High Evolutionary, Kang, Lylla and Kraglin in the CMF series. Though it's feeling like Lego are giving up on putting effort into Marvel like they did with DC. Lego Dreamzzz needs to be amazing. Monkie Kid can't be the only good property from Lego forever.

Today's weird Lego Friends overthinking observation is concerning the Minifigure Whip Utensil part # 88704 : in set 41754 Olly is behind the camera directing Leo on what to do on a cooking livestream or vlog. Right behind Leo is Churro's cat toy using a whip piece and a fish. In set 41742 Olly is bringing Gertrude to stay at Naomi's Cat Hotel where he is having Naomi look after his cat. Olly has a cat toy made from the whip piece and a fish piece. Two sets where the Caucasian guy has a person of colour performing a service for him... And Lego didn't think about the historical and cultural trauma trigger potential of including a whip being wielded by the white guy in one set, and a whip being set up where it can easily hit the POC in the other set. 😬 Now I'm thinking about it, I can't un-see it. Lego did so much research into diversity, equality and inclusion for 2023 Lego Friends, yet they stuck whips in sets where people of colour are working under the direction of a Caucasian dude. I know they didn't do it on purpose; and Lego designers in Billund, Denmark wouldn't have the same amount of cultural history to be aware of as other countries since they abolished slavery earlier than places like the British Empire and quite a lot earlier than the USA ... But it seems like a potentially controversial choice to include that particular part. I know I'm probably the only person overthinking this and leaping to all the bizarre conclusions, but after set 60278 got cancelled for being controversial, I hope Lego don't get complaints and have to withdraw sets 41742 and 41754 when I'm sure Lego didn't intend any offence. I mean Brick Clicker just dropped a video showing that many if not all of the January 2023 Lego Friends sets are retiring this year anyway, and set 41754 isn't selling as well as the other bedroom sets, so it may not be available for too much longer anyway.

I hope the success of Monkie Kid, Friends and Ninjago, and failure of Vidiyo, Nexo Knights and Hidden Side has convinced Lego not to screw Dreamzzz over with a heavy App focused theme

Hopefully. Nightmare is a portmanteau of Night and Mare from a superstition about bad dreams being caused by nocturnal demonic goblinoid creatures called Mares. People believed that Sleep Paralysis and Night Terrors were caused by these beings sitting on a sleeper. Mare has since become a term for a female horse, so there's precedent for having an evil horse associated with bad dreams in Lego Dreamzzzzzzzzzzzz. It's be good to get some decent villain sets instead of having them frequently regulated to side builds with the current Lego trend

I wish Lego would do something like this. Instead of yet another mech suit over and over again; it'd be awesome to have Dragon mechs and animal mechs. Imagine a Narwhal mech for Nya, or an Armadillo mech for Cole, a Snow Fox mech for Zane, an Eel mech for Jay, a Salamander mech for Kai, a Golden Retriever mech for Lloyd etc..

Nova probably wants to do it herself to ensure the skulls stay intact? Just noticed in the 3D 360 degree spin on the UK Lego Shop page for set 41726, they forgot to put shoes on Autumn. Speaking of Autumn's shoes, all her minidolls except the one with velcro shoes have their laces tied. I assume her having some kind of prosthetic must be canon, unless she does that fiddly one-handed shoe tie thing where you have to step on the lace every time she puts her shoes on. Just been thinking it'd be cool with the International School's modular aspect if they made extra modules to add to it. Like a library with the Librarian, a Soccer Pitch with the Coach and a couple of members of the team like that Nya looking girl and the blonde guy. It could include the Pickle Suit Guy if that's the school mascot. A computer Lab maybe including Brad and an IT teacher, A bigger cafeteria and kitchen with a Home Economics Teacher, a section with lots of lockers that could represent a school hallway or locker room including the Janitor. It could work if each was a complete set on it's own like the bedrooms, but had the ability to attach to the school.
