The battle had been an exhausting one, he had been knocked out and didn't land a single hit. He goes up to talk to Nerwen. "Time travel was a 'unique' experience. We were very much addled by it, we could barely fight at all! My prayers to our makers Galadria and Celebryon must have been affected by the time travel." "I am glad to see another elf at all like me in Heroica. The elves I have seen are different from any I have met." Amorith realised he had not introduced himself. The sight of another elf intrigued him but he also, strangely, found himself excited. He forced himself to calm down and start from the beginning. "Sorry, let me introduce myself. I am Amorith Marvelo a mage from Waldurk forrest. I lived there through the Orcish wars and for hundreds of years after but recently I saw Galadrya and Celebryon in a dream and the asked me to leave and travel here. I did as they instructed and found Heroica. What is your story?"

I agree, Boomingham should go. OOC: Will we still get XP from this battle, we have lost a lot of items such as phoenix essences and it felt like we were quite close to victory.

I disagree with Flipz that mages becoming less flexible after the transition to sage. A mage doesn't need more than about 2 gems to be able to damage all enemy types. That would make them sort of like a ranger, with the ability to do normal damage from the back row. Clerics, I think lose much more, Mages are able to get their first gem free and have been focused on getting more from the start. I cleric on the other hand would probably have far fewer, if any gems. eg. Althior at level 15 had all gems whilst Thomas only has one. I think that mage to sage is a huge boost, I don't think that I have ever attacked with my weapon anyway. Mages are useful because the cast spells, they might be a little less flexible but that flexibility was never really used much in the first place. So there.
-
That makes sense. What about the Sages? They can't attack physically.
-
I think Amorith is a member of that club as well, the only time he ever hits anything is when he is on Nostrum! Sisco, if the amount of damages and special damages are anything to go by, this next round we should all get Shields and Critical hits? Also, Sandy, why was the Mages Shield changed to being a random element rather than the element that you chose to attack with? I remember Pandora talking about it in quest 3.
-
I will continue my attack.
-
I will attack from the back row with darnkess magic and direct it at Secondary Porthiar Guard B. OOC: Why the name change?
-
Very well, I will use my Phoenix essence on Boomingham.
-
Are you sure? my darkness elemental magic is effective against humanoids after all, I believe that a Shield by me would end the battle.
-
I have a question for Sandy which I have been meaning to ask for some time. Can the encouraged effect stack, say you drank a mead before the battle and then during it a Beserker rolled shield, would that persons power be quadrupled? I was also thinking of situations where you would do the most damage and I thought of this if a hunter has marking the favoured against say, flying enemies and has a sapphire imbued weapon, drinks a mead and battles a flying vermin type they would have their damage multiplied by 24! x2 damage from the mead, x3 damage from marking the favoured and x4 for the sapphire imbued weapon which is effective against both flying and vermin enemy types. 2x3x4=24. Ouch. Then, if the encouraged effect stacked and a Beserker rolled shield the damage would be x48!

OOC: Stuff the NPC we need help! I think we should see if our luck improves after a few more rounds.
-
We need all the help we can get, since it was your mistake can't we make it that SP does have an effect, just so that we survive?
-
Sorry Boomers, the jo-no tree seed cannot be used outside of battle. We have enough bombs to finish the battle but I am not sure if we could survive the free hits.
-
Pie, why don't you check the wizards stats with the cloak before you decide to fight him?
-
Thank you Sarick, now I fell much better to attack head guard from the back row with darkness magic.
-
I will continue my attack.
-
OOC: Even if we revive him with a phoenix essence?
-
I will attack head guard from the back row with darkness magic.
-
I will continue my attack. OOC: Oh no, you can cast Wall of Text as well? I thought that only Flipz had that power!
-
Thanks, I like the look of the new uruk sword.
-
Where are these pictures you are all talking about? I only found the one of the fellowship.
-
I will attack the head guard from the back row with darkness magic.
-
I believe you have made the right choice party leader. So lets get going, these fellows seem awful impatient.
-
I would also stay behind if it came to it. I am the third highest level party member and I have a large store of potions and tonics. I would probably be the best choice. OOC: Even as I am typing this I am thinking that I want to roleplay Amorith meeting the first elf like him he has seen in a hundred years.
