I will gladly lend you 3 gold, sorry but that is all that I can spare. Plus it will bring you up to 30 gold and me to 10, nice and round. Don't worry about paying me back.
-
So Boomingham, we are off again, I am glad to be questing with such a fine man such as yourself. It seems that I will become the cleric for the party as I have the most restorative potions, tonics and the like.
-
Thanks for clearing that up Sandy. Bricksandparts, I would also like to wait a couple of days

Amorith walks into the market with 173 gold, he walks up to Anwyl and asks him how much his spare dagger would be worth. "Eh, I'll give you 15 gold for it." Amorith exchanges the dagger for the gold. (188) He then goes to Gnomeo's and buys a shovel (-10=178) He then goes to Portia's and buys 4 potions, 3 tonics, 2 remedies, 2 meads, a Phoenix essence and a holy bomb. (178-5-5-5-5-15-15-15-10-10-10-10-50-10=13) He keeps 13 gold as he remembers he still owes ranger Docken 10 gold.

Does the focal staff restore 5 ether every time you score a hit or can you give up 5 ether for a guaranteed hit?

"Orcs have committed terrible crimes, I do not deny that, all I meant was that just because those orcs were evil beings that does not mean that all Orcs are evil. What I meant was that the race of Orcs in not intrinsically evil." "Anyway, why don't we head down to the marketplace, you could imbue the king of the desert with your ruby, that would be a sight to behold."

Amorith follows Boomingham and also signs up for Quests 21 and 22. "After living alone in the deep forrest for 100 years one starts to miss talking to other people. After musing on the matter for some time (another 20 years) I decided to come here, I thought that I could make a difference here with my skills as a mage. I am sorry that I did not remember your tales, after so long alone I am not accustomed to listening to others, I dwell within my thoughts for most of the time. I disagree with your dislike of the orc races, I have met many beings on my long stay on this earth, I have met both cruel and kind orcs, just as I have met cruel and kind men or elves."

"That sounds like great fun and I am all for more loot, lets go sign up now." Amorith stands, feeling very woozy. "Maybe in a little while" "Anyway, what brought you to Heroica in the first place, I heard a rumour that you fought in the Orcish wars?"
-
Amorith stumbles back into the hall in the wake of Boomingham, he tried to shrink into the shadows but Boomingham grabbed him and pulled him along to the tavern. "Don't you try to sneak away on me." Boomingham laughed, "We were to have a celebratory drink together" Amorith mumbles incoherently but then forced a smile onto his face. "Yes Boomingham, I did say that. I remember Nyx speaking of Sizzling gumballs or something similar. I will have one of those." "Where is that curious little shade De-Kra? I hope he is well." Amorith allows himself to be dragged to a table and sat down and despite himself actually enjoyed it. "What has been happening here? I remember some talk of a lady Wren, was she nice?

Sandy, does a Phoenix essence also restore full ether?

"Amorith the brave." Amorith muses. "I like it" he announces finally. OOC: Thank you for a great quest, progress was slow but that was all of our faults. Well done as a first time QM Capt.JohnPaul. Can we post in heroica hall now? -
After getting over the euphoria (almost) I am now really annoyed that I just spent about $90-100 to make a custom uruk-hai army.

"Thank you for the smoke bomb Sylph." OOC. Is the key like the one sold by Elphaba which would open any door and then break? -

Finally, it felt like this battle would never end. Is there some sort of chest in this room that the key might open? -
There are no words to describe what I am feeling but sums it up best. LOTR lego? I don't even know if I will be able to afford food next year! I was to cautious to be optomistic but now that it is confirmed my family is looking at me strangely. Best Christmas present ever.

Ah, playing a secret double agent are we? You are to secretly let the enemy in through the well and plant your napalm amongst the archers.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that the lions snare didn't make much sense.
-
Brickdoctor, I thought that the name of you quest was the Lions sNare because that is what it looks like on the title card. However the thread title is the Lions sHare. Which is right? I love the open nature of your quest, the players are very free to explore.

Heroica RPG - Quest #8 Sacred Sands
legobodgers replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Finally!" Amorith cried. His prayers had been answered, pressing his advantage he attacks the general from the back row with fire magic. "Boomingham, I am glad that you judge me on my character rather than just my class despite you past. I greatly respect you for that." -
Heroica RPG - Quest #8 Sacred Sands
legobodgers replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Curse my shaking hands! Galadrya, Celebryon, assist me in vanquishing these foes." Amorith spoke a quick prayer to his deities and makers, he also sent a prayer to Sylvania, his long time in the forrest had caused his respect for the woodland goddess to grow and grow. He prepares to try and freeze the MOColian Palace Guard from the back row -

Actually if the bone was thrown at the start of the round it would only protect the next person in the party order to target that enemy.
