The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
JACKATTACKS replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Aw, come on lego. Just when I thought the stud shooter guns were becoming less common. This has probably already been mentioned, but which minifigures are we getting in the Egghead Mech set? -
Wow. You're parents sound like mine sometimes @ShayanK65. I'm 14 and a half *shush, I know i'm suppose to be 18* but generally it evens out. As long as you do what your parents ask you to do and do alright in school, it generally works out alright (at least for me). I still get lego sets (although not as often) but recently I got into Technic and started building my own motorized cars so they don't mind me building lego as much now but still, i have to make sure it isn't my only past time. I've found that I really haven't had all that much time for lego recently anyway as school work has got really hectic, so it sort of solves my lego problem Also, now that I think of it, for my Design and Technology project we had to build a crank out of metal and make it so that it moved something (in my case it could kick a ball). I built a prototype out of lego and got top marks (40/40, and hence top of the class) so building with Lego really does pay off!

Pretty cool build! Well done! Like the use of silver and blue for the center of it.

Wow, you really did a good job of portraying a "bare bones" room. The use of hinges on the outside of the build also works well!

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
JACKATTACKS replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah there still is, my subscription should have run out years ago but I think it got renewed. As @The_Chosen_1 said, it's been re branded as Lego Life and it seems that this has been a downgrade (no free Christmas polybags anymore) Luke looks way better with the hood. Im hoping that the catalog means that we'll see Luke with his hood in the set, not just his hair. As for C3PO, -
Wow. I thought that was the ucs falcon for a second! It looks really good! Can't help but noticing that the join where the shell of the ship meets the mandibles looks a bit off. Maybe stacking a few plates on the mandibles to close the gap? Also, why is there a whole in that 2x4 plate? :P

I'm not sure if this has already been posted but I received my lego club magazine today (don't ask why i still have the subscription). Anyway, it uses the unreleased Luke and Rey on the front cover, however Leia is still the same force awakens variant. -
Sorry for the late reply, been busy. I think I have a pretty good idea of how i can do the mandibles now, I just have to find the time to implement it!
-
Lol I was actually looking at your falcon this morning on flickr! @LEGODrongo01 I also own 7965, and with all the UCS hype, I unearthed it from one of my storage containers only to realize that there was a lot to be improved on. So far i've reduced the gaps on the panels, lowered the gun turret and reduced how far the cockpit sticks out. I'm now trying to improved the front mandibles, but I think I might have to redesign them all together. I would love to design them like yours, but I lack the pieces! Anyway, will be interested to see how yours turns out

Sorry, been away from this forum for a while, but what minifigures are we getting in the upcoming cmf series? -
Saw the movie today. The other two movies were better. Although, the use of integrating real life water etc was interesting.
-
Awesome! Looks really good. I love how you were able to use various techniques to create a cool build, but it also tells a story!

The Chewbacca review is gone! Just checked Brickset - it looks like YouTubers weren't the only victims. -

Yeah, the new "rice hat" has little clutch power. Thought that might be the case with the top part. I'll just put it down to bad CMF quality! -

I'm experiencing the same issues on my phone with words in the profiles overlapping. -
Wow, it's not everyday that you see a Star Trek build! I also think the right looks more accurate. :)

Wow. What a great build. Love the use of sloped pieces for the sand and the twisting animal carcass! The scattered escape pod parts give the build a really nice finish!- 16 replies

I misfelt Zane's backpack for Garmadon's helmet, but I have a very similar problem to yours. My ninja Lloyd's top mask piece comes off easily, is this the case with all ninja masks or is this just another case of bad quality CMF's with lack of clutch power? -
Wow, really nice! I think the back view is well done and the use of the clip pieces at the front for the grill is quite clever!

Glad to see another Aussie here! I live in Sydney but I know that there is a Legoland Discovery Centre (it was still being installed when I was there) in Chadstone Shopping Centre, Melbourne. There is a lego store there and I assume they would have the Falcon on release. I would suggest contacting Jay from http://jaysbrickblog.com/ as he lives in Melbourne! Hope this helps! :)
