Those are not the correct set numbers for the “summer” wave. Several are skipped and the biggest set is 75288 There are 6 total. -

Landino's numbers came from Target, fwiw. Walmart's are more consistent with CAD pricing. And more in line with what I would have hoped for in the US (see "head-scratching" in my previous post). So one of Walmart or Target is wrong. Hopefully Walmart has the right info. -

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying that Landino had said $79.99, not $69.99 as you quoted in your previous post. -

Landino said $79 for that set number actually. -

I will say, I have never been so mystified as I have this year. I've lost track of how many times in the last few months I've read or seen something, scratched my head and thought, "that can't possibly be right, can it?". It is always possible that misprints can happen, plans and prices can change, sets can get cancelled or pushed back, etc., but these are the (rare) exception, not the rule. And given that sets have been shown at two Toy Fairs now (soon to be a third), it is increasingly unlikely that mistakes of the kind you guys are hoping for have happened. -

I confirmed the set number. You can believe me or not, but my track record here should speak for itself. The US price came from Landino. I am pretty sure I know where he got his prices and have no reason to doubt them. The EU price for that set is similar so again, no reason to doubt it. Bear in mind that Lego now pretty consistently prices their sets knowing that retailers will cut 20% off within a month or so. -

Well, there is good news and there is bad news. The good news: It’s not the $70 set from April! The bad news: It’s actually 75286 from the “summer” wave, at $80. EDIT: That price came from the price list Landino posted to Instagram, which I believe was sourced from Target. As others have since uncovered, Walmart lists this set at just $60. One or the other is wrong. -

I dunno. D-0 doesn't seem to have attracted the same level of attention as BB-8 or the porgs did... though I liked him in the movie. I'm curious to see how well these sell; I will probably hold off buying the helmets until it becomes clear whether LEGO plans to make more of them in 2021. Their track record of extended support for these offshoots is not so hot (constraction, brickheadz, etc.) -

We used to get 1-2 exclusive SW system sets a year from each of ToysRUs, Target and Walmart. TRU's were usually the biggest, up to $100 or so, Target's were more middle-of-the-road, and Walmart's were $20-30 sets. They did this for Star Wars and several of the other licenses. Then TRU folded and without that extra competition, there seems to have been less reason for the remaining stores to invest in the exclusives. Amazon's entry into the space was encouraging, but they failed to do an exclusive last year to follow up Vader's Castle, so unless they are on a bi-annual cycle, they may be done with them too. I'd still like to believe we could get a few system sets this way, though. I was hoping so but it doesn't look like it. Maybe as a VIP purchasable reward down the line at the LEGO Store? -

Target did a brickhead two pack in October and a Vader bust before that (con leftovers). Amazon had Vader’s Castle about 15 months ago. -

There are a few problems in the above post. 75282 is not among the sets being released in the "summer" wave. 75288 is, however. 75286 is definitely not 140€... if it were, people would scream bloody murder. The other "even more 2HY" sets you list are not included in the 2HY retail catalog, so as of today there is no reason to believe they will be released. Possibly one or two may show up as a retail store exclusive, possibly they could be a bonus wave very late in the year (or were pushed to next year), but more likely some or all just get skipped, as a handful of set numbers get skipped every year. And, before anyone parrots what a certain YouTuber said about "MDP", no it does not stand for "Mandalorian Disney Plus". As I mentioned yesterday, you should treat all pricing at this point as guesstimates. -

More like that, most likely. Until NY Toy Fair, US prices are mostly guesstimates. And there is no “Fall 2020“ wave as far as anyone knows. Just the April/May wave of 4 sets and the 2H 2020 (“Summer”) wave, ie the sets priced above. -

That retailer marks up prices 10% above mainline EU pricing, on average. 75250 Pasana Speeder Chase, for instance, is sold there for 55,15€, whereas the suggested retail price is 50€/$40. So, if you're looking to estimate US prices, you'll want to adjust most everything down correspondingly. -

If you read my post, you'll see I'm referring to System-scale sets, of which there are only about a half-dozen in the next two waves combined (three of the sets in your list are the helmets/buildable droid, and one is the advent, if I'm interpreting it correctly). By comparison over the same period in 2018 and 2019, we got 12-14 system-scaled sets each year (excluding the porg/yoda/advent/etc.). So, half. FWIW I am fairly sure the prices in your list are inflated. Guessing someone did a conversion from a local currency to euros, which often doesn't result in accurate € pricing... esp. since EU pricing varies from country to country. -

To clarify, there are several inaccuracies in your post. First, there are three (known) waves this year, like pretty much every other year (we already got the first wave, just a few weeks ago). Second, the first two sets you list for April are helmets, not busts... I make the distinction because people will assume these are like the Sith Trooper and Vader busts released over the last year, which they're not. Third: that April wave might be April, might be May, timed to coincide with D2C. Dunno. Fourth: You've listed the next wave as "June" which I do not believe to be correct. There is what is commonly called the "summer" wave coming in the second half of the year, which in LEGOspeak typically means September (2017), August (2018) or October (2019). I don't recall there being a June wave in the last several years, if ever. This wave also does not comprise the full range of set numbers you list. It is smaller than years past (as is the April/May wave), and the sets are mostly small-to-medium sized. As Robianco has already said, none of the known sets coming is from Mandalorian. And some are "prequel". You can interpret "prequel" literally, to mean "Prequel Trilogy", or you can interpret it loosely, to mean "Prequel-era". Up to you. Beyond that I am not going to continue down the path of confirming or denying which sets or movies or eras any of these is from. It just leads to more questions, more confusion, more needless "the sky is falling" pronouncements. But regardless of what is or isn't coming in the next two waves, there's always the possibility of something coming as a retail store exclusive, a D2C, etc. Hell, there could even be a super-secret fourth wave very late in the year (unlikely, but anything's possible.) But as of now it looks like, for the rest of the year, we're getting about half the number of system sets that we got over the corresponding period in years past. This is what I meant when I cautioned people to lower expectations. Anyone imagining a dozen or more sets, and multiple big sets, is going to be disappointed, unless something changes dramatically. -

Your definition of "fact" seems a bit iffy to me. And it's interesting to me that you've started qualifying your rather grandiose statements as applying to just the next wave, since that wave is largely a known quantity at this point... Careful what you wish for. LEGO may read the "less" part but skip the "better thought of and executed" bit. :) -

Okay, but that's not really what you said before. And people ran with that, and accepted your not-well-labeled guess as a fact that there are no CW sets coming all year. If you're going to make guesses, label them as such, and be clear. Otherwise people misinterpret and get themselves worked up into a lather when maybe they don't need to. -

This sentence presents itself as a fact, but then turns out to be an opinion... or a guess? -
I've noticed many times how LEGO will use two smaller pieces rather than one larger piece (for instance, two 1x2 bricks, when a 2x2 would make more sense). Occasionally there is a legitimate, not-so-obvious construction reason for this, like if the anti-stud configuration on the bottom of the bricks needs to be a certain way. But most of the time it's probably because the smaller bricks (being more versatile) are also used elsewhere in the build. So rather than use (for example) 8 small bricks and 1 large brick, they use 10 small bricks, which is more cost-effective because it requires one fewer mold put into production to generate the set. (Costing isn't just about how many pieces or how big the pieces are, but also how many different molds are used in a given set... the more a single mold can be reused in a set, the cheaper it is to produce).
