There's nothing to discuss. LEGO DC is barely breathing. Closer to death than to life. -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, even the leakers are torn on whether we'll get sets—some say that the Fantastic Four set is the only Super Heroes set based on a 2025 movie, but others say that that's not accurate and we might still get a set. I hope that DC is slightly more secretive about Superman, and that's why leakers haven't yet heard anything. Not to mention we don't have 2HY lists for any theme except Ninjago, and a few random sets from other themes like Star Wars. Saying that, I'm not holding out much hope. I'm gonna be devastatingly disappointed if we don't get anything though, I am so excited for this movie. -

Well, unlike the Aslume thread with over 200 pages, this one will end up with like 20. Still holding out a bit of hope for a Superman set, but I'm not expecting it at this point. Otherwise, we could just rename the thread to 76300 Arkham Asylum 2025 - Rumors & Discussion. -

Funnily enough it'll also be the 10th anniversary of The Force Awakens. I really want more sets for the Sequels. -

Now that you mention it, this series is surprisingly enjoyable. I feel like it targets a demographic that Star Wars hasn't tackled before—it's just pure childlike fun. Not particularly innovative, but it doesn't need to be. The set does a great job of covering the series, although I wish SM-33 would've been included. Nevertheless, the ship looks awesome and the minifigures are great. We'll probably never get any more sets though. Ahhh, I am so excited to hear more details on this set! I hope it's an Imperial starship, just to go along with the U-Wing. Really hoping the minifigures are exciting, and it's not just one named character and two pilots. Same for the minifigures in the U-Wing—Cassian and K-2SO are a given, but then I've no idea (perhaps... Dedra? ) -
I'm not assuming anything this point. If the rumours about no more Superman sets for 2025 end up being true, then this theme might really be dead. Getting four sets (three of which are just Batman) during the year of DC's resurrection would be unfathomably stupid, so I wouldn't even think about getting characters like Supergirl or Green Lanterns.

That'll be 370€ please. -
This is just ridiculous. James Gunn has stated multiple times that he wants Reeves to do his thing—not to mention he's greenlighting multiple Elseworlds projects. He might not delay anything, because James Gunn doesn't set the release dates—he's a creative manager of DC Studios, while Safran is the financial one. Not to mention that The Batman Part II has been delayed by a year many months ago, which had nothing to do with Superman. He also won't push Battinson into the DCU. How did you come up with so many ridiculous conspiracy theories all at once?

I'm sorry, but this sounds super dumb from a practical point of view. If I buy a set, I want to display all of it—I don't want to hide parts of it in my shelves just because the designers didn't think of a way to make all of it displayable. -
As a whole, I really love this wave—although some choices are confusing, and could be improved upon. The Spinners are amazing, definitely some of the best ones we've had in a while. So glad Sora finally got one. The Battle Mech is exactly what I expected—an ugly build with incredible minifigures. The mech is even worse than Jay's, I especially dislike the cockpit and the clunky arms and legs (well... so everything). But hey—Zane gets an exclusive variant, and it's a super-cheap way to get Wyldfyre and Drix. Amazing deal for 10€ The Pull-Back Race Car looks awesome for kids, but I couldn't care less about it. The Forest Dragon is amazing, but it begs the question of why they didn't make the Race Car for another Ninja (like Nya, who never gets vehicles!) so they could include a regular Season 3 Lloyd variant here. The Storm Rider is a cool concept, and an interesting-looking set. The minifigures are kinda boring though, so I also don't care much for it. The Spinjitzu Temple might be the best 4+ set I've seen in a while, if not ever. At first, I didn't even realise it was 4+. Including four Ninja is also very cool, definitely makes it a good purchase for anyone. The Combo Mech is just awesome. I love how well the build splits into four good-looking vehicles, dragons or mechs. The minifigure selection is really good too. The Dragonian Storm Village is the main set I will get from this wave, because it looks amazing. The minifigures are incredible—two Ninja (one of them being exclusive to this set), two Dragonians, exclusive Morro, and exclusive Rogue? Wow. Jay looks particularly marvellous, I'm in love with his outfit. The build is kind of empty unfortunately, but it's good-looking nonetheless.

I don't care about the ARC-170. It's a fine 50€ set though... or rather, would be—if it wasn't 70€. -

The Flying Lessons... I don't like it, even though it looks awesome at first glance. The exterior, no doubt, looks incredible. It's highly detailed, and looks really big. But that's mostly it for the positives, because the minifigures are incredibly boring... not even one slightly exciting character or variant. The worst part is the interior though—because it proves how awful the new Hogwarts system truly is. It's empty! The interior is basically a blank slate for the other Hogwarts sets! And the ridiculous part is, if I slide the Charms classroom in... what am I supposed to do with the other segment that was already there? I hate this system. The Knight Bus is literally the 2019 version, but with smaller windows (so, more accurate). The bench, Padfoot, and the Sleeping Witch are very nice additions. Overall, I dig it, even though it's not particularly exciting. -
Well, it's simple—any movie Cavill was in sucked, while The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker were the best-reviewed projects of the DCEU. James Gunn is planning the universe, so it makes sense to keep the stuff he already started building in the past. It would be a shame to abandon Peacemaker just because of a change in the management. Also, it's literally the same thing MCU is doing now with the Netflix series—retroactively adding them to the canon, even though they didn't acknowledge them for a decade. You just have to pretend it happened. I think it's perfect. Kryptonite shoulder pads.

Wow, didn't expect a full 2HY list just before the reveal of the 1HY sets! Overall, it sounds amazing. Much more variety than I expected. Lite was right though—there actually are four mechs in this wave. First of all, it's interesting to see that Rogue (Jay) will be getting his own sets—is he gonna be more of an anti-hero than a villain? Especially since he gets a mech dragon. Curious that he's fighting a Forbidden Five member. Rontu obviously is gonna be amazing, can't wait to see how she looks. Probably would look great when placed next to Egalt. Fire Knight Mech sounds awesome just because of the name. Very metal, the execution will hopefully deliver. The Diorama is a huge mystery. The Dragon Stone Shrine was essentially a diorama, but it was never named as such—so it's intriguing to see that this one is marketed like that. Wonder if it'll be loosely based on the new season (like the Shrine), or a regular set for it. The Temple Bounty is probably the rumoured Forbidden Five Bounty, but the name doesn't suggest so. Overall, really strong names. As I always get one set per wave (plus magazines, polybags, and 10€ mechs), I'll probably end up with either Rontu or Rogue's Mech Dragon. Either way, I'm already fully excited.

Well, Nani and Lilo's house is coming in March—so definitely another Stitch, along with Lilo and Nani. Hopefully also more characters though, like Bubbles or David (and maybe even Jumba, Pleakley or Gantu). -
I usually prefer to go to sleep, and wake up in the morning knowing I'll see the images (or whatever I'm awaiting). Best feeling ever. (Unless the leak is wrong, and they'll be revealed later—but that'd be disappointing.) Zane's mech is holding two katanas by the way.

Apparently the sets will be revealed in around ten hours (according to lite). We'll see how much truth there's to this specific time, but I sure hope it's real. Dying to see those sets.

Right? It just feels like LEGO is going out of their way *not* to make a regular LotR set. The D2Cs are great and all, but a booknook? Come on, this is basically a regular set sold as a stupid gimmick. Why can't they just make a diorama or something... -

That's actually a really good point. In the end, Andor sets are the only ones where they could reuse those moulds.
