Right? Obviously I don't think Supergirl sets are in their plans right now, but if Superman does exceptionally well—or at least as well as The Fantastic Four—and the merchandise from other producers is popular with kids, I can see them rushing a Supergirl set with a tie-in Superman set too. (Or maybe I'm just delusional and really high on copium. But still, I just hope DCU does super well so that LEGO can't ignore it.)

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
THELEGOBATMAN replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You must be fun at parties. It sounds like bait, but I know it's not (unless it's some really dry sarcasm). The fact that you're serious is ridiculous, and you're acting like a manchild. How about, and hear me out on this—you let people enjoy what they enjoy? There is no "true Star Wars". Star Wars is Star Wars, which means anything branded as such. Prequels aren't more Star Wars than the Sequels are, because why would they be? "MaNdAlOrIaN aNd RoGuE oNe mIgHt Be CoNsIdErEd" might be considered for what? And who are you exactly to judge what might or might not be considered as Star Wars? The Last Jedi is easily one of the most interesting movie in the franchise, that did divide the fandom, but it was something truly fresh and original. It proved that Star Wars fans don't want anything new, and would rather stay with the way things were, without ever changing the status quo. The Acolyte wasn't even that bad, and I've got some incredible advice for you... if you don't like it, just don't watch it. And I don't mean it in a "you can't complain about anything" way—you can just say you didn't like it, explain why, and move on. You're not entitled to anything from this franchise, and not everyone piece of media in it has to be made specifically for you. "Marvel still has hope" again, hope for what? Sure, The Multiverse Saga mostly sucks or is rather mediocre, but it doesn't mean Marvel will be ruined forever. But this is a Star Wars thread, so I'll move on. LEGO should make Sequels sets, because you're not the only Star Wars fans in the world. The movie are not terrible, and they didn't "ruin" anything. One movie cannot retroactively ruin another one—those still exist, and haven't been affected by anything. If you didn't like the Sequels, that's okay—but let others enjoy them, because you're not the judge of Star Wars. Also, saying that Sequels "ruined the lore" while wanting Star Wars to focus on Legends is a pretty ridiculous argument, because they did things ten times as bad to the continuity and the overall coherence of the lore. -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

The trailer didn't really do anything for me to be honest. I'm not particularly excited for this series, even though the third season of Daredevil was absolute peak. Hope it's amazing though. -
LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
THELEGOBATMAN replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sequel fans are starving out there. Almost dead, lying in a ditch, hoping for the smallest crumbs. Kylo Ren's helmet and midi-scale shuffle gave them slightly more time, but they will die soon. At this point I would sacrifice at least like... two persons for a The Last Jedi set. I am in such pain that I didn't get the Throne Room duel when it was on the shelves, or the Ahch-To set. Meanwhile, at least 80% sets in a single wave are either Clone sets, or buildable gimmicks. The last 20% is distributed to all the other fans. -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oscorp is much more prominent in the movies though. The whole final sequence of TASM takes place there, and it's featured heavily in both of those movies. It's also relevant in the first Raimi movie. Daily Bugle though? It's just... there. For most people it's just a regular office building that they wouldn't even be able to name. Raimi's Daily Bugle looks nothing like the set, and I'd argue that if you asked most casual viewers, they'd sooner know what Oscorp is than what Daily Bugle is. Not to mention that it's kind of irrelevant in this context, since huge Marvel D2C sets aren't really made for people who don't know what Oscorp or Faily Bugle is. -

And the Daily Bugle isn't? Those sets aren't made for an average customer—but rather people who are familiar enough with the topic to get excited about it and purchase it. -
Only ten minifigures is really disappointing, since another March set comes with nine—but for 100€, not 250€.

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really hope we get a full set list soon, because this Summer sounds pretty exciting for LEGO Marvel. If there's a Spider-Man set extravaganza, I will definitely go bankrupt though (especially if they are based on Spider-Verse movies). -
Jurassic Properties 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Eh, I don't think that matters. I don't see kids being more likely to buy / ask for sets based on one over the other. It's still dinosaurs with some cool minifigures and nice vehicles. Jurassic is one of the only franchises that doesn't really rely on its characters, especially from the longterm perspective. People just want to see big dinosaurs, and the movie will make bank anyway—whether it's Sam Neill, Chris Pratt, or Scarlett Johansson. -

Wow, those prices are absolutely awful. I am also kind of surprised we're only getting four actual sets for this movie (without counting a buildable dinosaur). As a start, I'd say that three dinosaurs are essential to the movie's plot—Titanosaurus, Mosasaurus, and Quetzalcoatlus (although I could see them skipping the latter). Then you've also got a T. Rex and a Spinosaurus, which are too iconic to skip. The last one that is almost guaranteed to appear (probably in more than one set) would be an Aquilops, since it's really small and is apparently the mascot of the movie. 76970: The most obvious buildable dinosaur if I've ever seen one. As I've said, an Aquilops is the mascot for the merchandise, so it fits perfectly here. 76972: The PPP ratio is fairly good, so probably nothing more than a Velociraptor. It's supposedly more colorful (like JP3 ones), so maybe they'll use the Pyroraptor mould. 76973: The PPP ratio is worse than some 4+ sets, so I expect at least two fairly-sized dinosaurs. I'd say that Mosasaurus or Titanosaurus would be one of the dinosaurs in this set, since they require huge specialised moulds. Then, to justify the price point, they'd add a Quetzalcoatlus (which they already have a mould for). 76975: One of the worst PPP ratio I've seen in a modern, regular set. The price isn't that high, so I'm expecting one huge dinosaur—again, either a Mosasaurus or a Titanosaurus. 76976: The PPP ratio is bad, but not as bad as the other set—so I'm expecting two big dinosaurs, but one of them with existing moulds. Hence—Spinosaurus and a T. Rex (unfortunately they'll probably lock the most desirable dinosaur behind the biggest set they have). -

I assumed Sandman would be brickbuilt, since without that it couldn't really be a big set. -

If most of the sets are based on Sony's Spider-Man movies, it perfectly makes sense why most of them are in the 200–400 piece range. You can't really make a lot of bigger sets for those movies, because most scenes (especially the fights with the villains) have only 2–3 characters, including Spider-Man and the main villain. (Unless they'd include generic civilians, which they won't, or side characters, which LEGO is usually allergic to.) The only bigger sets I could imagine are the Goblin's first public appearance (with MJ and Harry), and the Spider-Man 3 final fight (with MJ, Harry, and JJJ). Still, that's 4–5 minifigures at most. -

Fair enough. I just use it to refer to all Sony's Spider-Man movies—whether it's Raimi, Amazing, or Spider-Verse. LEGO will never touch SSUC (or whatever the stupid Venom universe was called with a ten-foot pole). -

I'm not sure what you mean. Raimi movies are Sony Spider-Man movies. So are The Amazing Spider-Man ones, and the Spider-Verse ones too. -

Please tell me you're not talking about the very-obvious fake from November on Instagram. As far as I remember, we know and have seen nothing from this set besides the set number and its price. -

Right now there's a helmet, a 4+ set, four sets in the 200–400 piece range, and two wild cards. Helmet could be Green Goblin if LEGO is going all out with Sony's Spider-Man movies sets (that would actually be really cool). One of them is the Doc Ock train fight from Spider-Man 2, and at least one more is based on a Sony Spider-Man movie. Apart from that, who knows. -

The stretchy-arms torso is coming back for Luffy in the One Piece sets—I think it's fair to assume that they'll kill two birds with one stone using it also for Reed. -

The most notable example being the Pyropator Dominion set. The Dilophosaurus had nice printed claws and teeth, while the Pyroraptor (being the same size and in the same set) had neither. -

Huh, V-19 seems to actually be decently priced—it has 567 pieces and costs $60. Don't you dare suggest one more Clone set. Don't.
