  1. I was talking about the SNOT for the two sets of 4 exhaust ports. I just need to sit around and play with that in the real brick to get it to work I think. I'll go revisit Shup's album on flickr. Thanks! -Jeffinslaw
  2. Looks like my question got lost up above. -Jeffinslaw
  3. Oh duh! Forgot about shapeways. If they don't work well with the code 100 rail then I will just wait for the real deal when/if they happen (which I hope they do happen). -Jeffinslaw
  4. Man I thought I was next up on the docket to get a pair of R104 switches in 9V! They look amazing! -Jeffinslaw
  5. Wow! Excellent job. Great attention to detail. How did you do your vents on the top? That's the part I'm struggling with on my Union Pacific E6. Vertical half plate offsets are my weakness. -Jeffinslaw
  6. That's why they created adapters. The system they are using is better than the one Lego designed. It has been used by all model railroads for well over 50 years. -Jeffinslaw
  7. Congrats on the new site! It looks great. Will you be posting any instructions? Like perhaps a set for that boxcar? -Jeffinslaw
  8. Why thank you! Thanks! I don't use LDD. I used LDraw for this one and have been using stud.io. Thanks! Thank you. I'll be posting pictures of my other ES44AC soon. -Jeffinslaw
  9. Darn, order hasn't shipped yet. I figure with Christmas this past weekend, many orders didn't get shipped out. -Jeffinslaw
  10. Once they get all the track shipped out to backers and all orders filled, they'll start working on the models. -Jeffinslaw
  11. Very sorry for your loss :( thank you for posting that info. -Jeffinslaw
  12. Whoever made that GE P42 at the 2:43 mark needs to post pictures ASAP. -Jeffinslaw
  13. Hey guys, Mike from ME-models called me today. We had a great chat. It was nice to talk to one of the two guys there, he gave me a lot of back story on the past few months since I wasn't around for the kickstarter. They have a lot of other ideas and I'm looking forward to seeing them come together. Looking forward to getting my track as well. Not worried about the wait now. -Jeffinslaw
  14. Well... ordered and paid Saturday. It's Wednesday, hasn't shipped yet, and no response to my message to customer service yet either. The customer service request was for adding to the order. -Jeffinslaw
  15. Thank you! I need to post pictures of my completed D&RGW California Zephyr. It's a set of Alco PA + PB + PA and nine car consist. Next one will either be the Union Pacific City of San Francisco or the Great Northern Empire Builder. Shame about the plate. Oh well, I will find another solution! That might work as well. Another good solution! -Jeffinslaw
  16. Well I sure hope these rails deliver. Just submitted a $500 order. Shame there wasn't free shipping threshold but can't complain too much. Looking forward to my engines running around a proper loop. -Jeffinslaw
  17. Thank you! It's a shame that Amtrak E9 won't ever be built. Building that arrow is impossible as it currently sits. It might be due for an updated render with stud.io though. Thanks! I see what you mean... the part with the light could be lowered by a plate or two and it would look much better. Great! I thought it would but wasn't sure. -Jeffinslaw
  18. Right now they're just floating. I'll have to play around with my bricks when I get home to see if a 1x2 plate with the studs through the "diamonds" will hold them together. If they do, then I can use a dark grey or black to simulate dirty vents. -Jeffinslaw
  19. Hey guys, I'd like to show you my EMD E6A that I built entirely in BrickLink's new design program called stud.io. Over all the program is pretty easy to use. Has a few quirks but not too bad. I absolutely love the renders it produces though. The unit is six wide, about 46 or so studs in length and riding on tall-tim slider trucks. I have also added two, somewhat realistic EMD 567 Engines into the unit as well. Let me know what you think! On to the the B units. I plan on doing one A unit + two B units, and about nine or ten cars. 20. Man the things I would do to get a set of those switches for 9V in ABS.... looking great. Hope the kickstarter is successful next time! -Jeffinslaw
  21. Thank you! Hmm one reply? Tough crowd.
  22. I would be interested in two set's of these to power a 2-8-8-4 engine I'm working on. -Jeffinslaw
  23. Hey guys, been meaning to post this for quite some time. Here is my version (heavily based on swoofty's excellent rendition). 6 wide, unpowered riding on the famous "talltim slider trucks." Let me know what you think! Enjoy.
