Last week my son picked up the Mr. Freeze set. While it is on my list of sets to purchase down the road I was glad he picked it up and was excited to build it and I will say it is one of the coolest sets ever! I love the Freeze Mech, Mr. Freeze is an awesome minifigure, and a cool little side build. I am still looking forward to picking this up for myself at a later date as well as many of the smaller sets which are all so cool. Once I told my son that you can combine some of the sets to make a bigger diorama he was all over that and is excited about the others as well. I fear that once the movie comes out it will be all Batman all the time. :)

I concur. Cool find and another fun little polybag for the Nexo's. With the Motor Horse I feel there is a neat little sub theme within the Nexo Knights of kiddie style builds of larger sets that started with Robin's Mini-Fortrex and with the coming miniature Jestro's Headquarters. I may go through my parts collection to build the Motor Horse but not sure if I have all the correct colors at the moment. The Knighton Rider while being really cool is deceptively simple. Can't wait to pick that up as well in a few weeks.

Went to LEGO store yesterday and picked up Macy's vehicle from summer and the King's Guard Artillery set. Put together the King's Guard set last night and I will say this is a pretty sweet set. Great little design for the money and definitely he best of the $10 sets. I can't say I am 100% sold on the generic bad guys but that is only a small squabble. Makes me even more excited for this years sets and am looking forward to picking up the rest and to see what is coming down the pike I also noticed that the rumor is probably true that the winter sets from last year are probably being discontinued. Saw nothing of them on the shelves except for the Fortrex.

Interesting we would get three new hero vehicles in the summer if it pans out. 3 of the five knights are getting their own this wave and Lance getting two vehicles. I did see that as well. High on my list would be regular Jestro or if possible a true Merlok 2.0 figure. I could also see King Halbert as well since we now will have two versions of Queen Halbert. I am OK with another Royal Guard as well provided the build is a decent one in the book. I suppose this would mean no DK book?

Booo!!! Was just at my local Target and not much was marked down or at least not to those discounts. Online prices remain the same as well. Was hoping to pick up some good deals after X-mas but no go.

CMF's showed up at my local Lego Store day after X-mas and picked up a handful of them. All are really cool and my most anticipated figure was the Red Hood figure which I ended up getting and think he is great! After putting him together and looking at him sitting on my coffee table for awhile the thought occurred to me this would make a great Mysterio minifig as well. Has Lego already produced Mysterio in the past?

Yes I noticed that as well. I am wondering what might be happening with that character. I though his presence in the show diminished over the course of the season while Ava's seemed to increase. Went to my local LEGO store and they had the new sets for sale. Didn't pick up any as am waiting to get the Batman promo which starts tomorrow. I have noticed that at least my two stores either don't seem to be displaying or are not carrying the exclusives for the 2016 wave and no sign of either 2017 exclusives.

I had a similar thing happen on the Fortrex. The sticker sheet was damaged but there is no place to order a sticker sheet so I think I chose other items or something and just gave a description. They sent out a replacement set no problem. On another note LEGO site USA has the new stuff up on their website. They don't list any of the exclusives but I am really excited about a lot of these and they are all at really good price points.

Not sure if you are in the US or not but Target has been dropping prices on some of these sets. Fortrex for $70 and Jestro's Lair for $80.

I was also going to say that Jangbricks has a couple of reviews up of the new Nexo line as well - Jestro's Headquarters and Lance's Twin Jouster. Both look pretty cool. I like the direction of combining parts and pieces from other sets to enhance the models (as they are doing with the Batman sets) and seeing these sets fully built they are growing on me a bit but they are still low on my priority for the new wave. It will be interesting to see what they might do for a summer release - all bad guys with lots of forbidden powers? That would be sweet. From Just2good's review I hadn't noticed before that his arm armor mimics his helmet. I agree that it might have been better to have the figures popping out a bit like Axl's but oh well. That is an easy customization I think. @just2good Really like your reviews and your list videos. I see that a few Nexo Knight sets have made it on to the list for most anticipated 2017 (as did a few 2016 sets last year) and was wondering if you ever thought about revisiting those lists to see of those most anticipated sets how many lived up to your expectations and would their rankings change at all? I know from last year you had a few Nexo sets on your most anticipated but you also lost interest in the line pretty quick.

One of the Targets ins my area had the combo packs so picked up a few. Of course after leaving the store it occurred to me that I should have waited and picked some up in January at the LEGO store so I could also pick up the Nexo promotion. Oh well. On on another note is there any trading thread set up to do some wheeling and dealing?

Strangely enough after seeing this video I am not very enthusiastic over Clay's Falcon Blaster. My local Target had a sign that said Lance's vehicle is as available online but I have not been able to find it.

I wonder if they intend to release all available shields at some point.

Yes!! On the back of the calendar they even advertise Aaron's Falcon Blaster.

Lego Store promotion for January. Scaled down version of the Knight's Cycle from last year but I do like the wheel configuration. No blank shield like the Knight's Cycle and it appears that only the King's Guard Artillery will get the trans orange armor piece but at least this figure will get armor.

Still working on the second half of 2016 but plan on getting Jestro's Lair and hopefully Macy's vehicle at or around X-mas time. After that still need the Siege Machine as well as Axl's Tower Carrier, although on the Tower Carrier will be waiting for that to be heavily discounted. Not one of my fav's for the summer release. I am really in to the 2017 line and with some really good price points I can see me getting almost a set a month. I am like you though there is some really cool stuff coming out next year particularly with the Batman Movie so plenty of stuff to be spending money on this next year.

@amazingbricksThat is quite the array of minifigures. Thanks for pulling those all together. I am really interested in the brick built 'rock' monsters as those printed pieces are pretty wacky. @Exetrius Great find on the new polybag. Can't wait to pit it against Robin and the mini Fortrex. Hmm.. maybe to start on miniature models of Nexo models. :) I agree!! Would like to do something with those as well by creating a hall of heroes as it were but even beyond that was always bummed that those shields didn't come in any sets. Of course with them being blind bagged I foresee buying many of the shield packs which I wasn't anticipating before. Aaron's set is definitely high on my list of this wave to pickup. I think it is great that the majority of this wave is comprised of affordable sets in that 20-25 dollar range. Throw on top of that they look like a ton of fun and Nexo Knights looks like it will be a big hit this year. Any word on continuation of the show and a new storyline?

Really liking Aaron's new vehicle. Another compact set with some cool features in it. Another one to add to the wish list of to gets. I can kind of see Aaron's fox shield in the build particularly if you were able to look at it head on. Does this confirm that all the builds this go around will be based around each character's insignia?

At least this is not as bad as what was originally mentioned that the entire 2016 sets would be discontinued at the end of this year. I already have all the Winter sets and am just working on the second half slowly but surely.

I haven't really been jonesing for any of those but so long as Lego can make it look really cool I am on board. I guess we will know for sure once we see the Aaron exclusive set if that is what this wave's sets will be based off of. Lance is the only one who really has his sets look like a horse but that could be just Lance. His first wave set was a mech horse and this wave's is some type of ghost horse thing. Clay's doesn't really give me the impression of a falcon or bird of any kind but I guess we will see.

Perhaps that will pave the way for an actual Merlok 2.0 figure. Interesting that there does not seem to be any generic bad guy figs this go around. All the bad guys appear to be exclusive as opposed to this year when we had the Crust Smasher, Ash Attacker, and Flame Thrower popping up in all the Knight sets.

Was just looking at all the Batman Movie sets and it looks like the Riddler set comes with a question piece for his cane that would be perfect for Merlock.

Curiously Lance shows up three times though.

Now that sounds promising.
