  1. The track idea is brilliant, very nice! I like how the station architecture isn't 'busy', not a ton of random bricks to break up the walls, but enough to make it look elegant yet simple. It's beautiful. I never get sick of train station MOCs.
  2. It has, but it's still nicety look at. I'm thinking $3.50-4 at Target for Easter.
  3. Just checking as I have exactly 4 trains and the old Holiday one.
  4. What if you have exactly four trains? And what if you have the far superior old Holiday Train? I'm not sure where you live but if it's USA they have been on sale a lot. If you live elsewhere just make friends with USA-ers.
  5. This is I usually don't come to this website and only post in a few topics. No one wants to go to a forum where you can't do this and you can't do that. It's so negative. I tried to read some rumors and all it was was 15 pages of BS and no one should be expected to read that.
  6. Yeah. This isn't the form to make a new topic every time set goes on sale. Target has had about 75-85% of the 2016 sets on sale for over 30% in the last two months. Fun in the Park was eve cheaper last month. City Volcano Starter Set 60120 s currently 40% off. I couldn't even make a list of all the sales Target had in the 6 weeks before Christmas.
  7. Try Thursday when Target has their weekly clearance price drops. My Walmart had Jestro's vehicle carriage for $35, down from $70 it said.
  8. CopMike, I want the cutest manatee! So make that happen!
  9. Back in March I told my sister jokingly I wanted the Passenger Train for $85 from Target. She actually bought me it. Also got some older sets Santa dug up from the basement along with Wall-E and 1980s GB.
  10. Clearly LEGO wanted to make some spring sets and did't have enough holidays to do. I'm going to be making a MOC of a true Valentine's Day picnic in the northern hemisphere.
  11. Lock the doors, hit the floors, Santa Claus comes tonight! - Futurama
  12. I won again! I love you Elf Cop Mike!
  13. We already complained enough about the police sets being almost exact copies of the last police sets, that includes the helicopter. So why not talk about how to make a camera piece into a weapon and the s shape piece in blue? Plus a world war should happen soon with China or nukes in Israel, so why not find some fun in a stupid helicopter polybag. hehe Also in the USA if this is a Target holiday set it will go on clearance because o one will want it. It's a winner all around!
  14. I really do not like this Police Station. It's just blah and boring looking. There is no character. That said the blow out wall button is so much fun! But the car pusher thing just is very silly to me. I don't get that at all. And the return of that big slope piece for the tower is a welcome one.
  15. It might have been a laser rocket gun. I just like how it looks the other way as a gun. Still makes more sense than an moo feeder. :-p
  16. Go online an say you have a child, that's what I had to start doing. I had them shipped to my mom's but then I moved too far away to get my mail and just went to the local LEGO Store. I noticed I didn't get this years, so I lied and said I have a son who I believe is 6. LEGO has gotten WAY too greedy with getting rid of coupons, getting right of the calendar coupons even! Getting rid of the great little pick-a-brick boxes at Christmas. Then not allowing AFOL who spend hundreds if not thousands and thousands a year of LEGO get a cheaply made magazine?! $&%* them!
  17. They hacked into LEGO and demanded early sets.
  18. It's a free raffle to get a few free LEGO mini figures. There is nothing serious about it.
  19. The bulldozer is great. It's not mini, it's the first one LEG has made in years that's correctly sized.
  20. I was thinking exactly the same thing on both accounts. That i don't remember that piece in blue. Heck it's not too too common anyways. Plus as a kid those were always guns, no such thing as a camera, always a rocket launcher. (Actually facing that way a camera, turn it around and it's a rocket launcher with a scope.)
  21. A tiny police helicopter! That's what I always needed! My problem with these types of polybags is that they are useless. For $10, and always on sale for $5-8, you can get 3-4 mini figures and a small helicopter or speed boat.
  22. I like it, I like it a lot. I love the use of color. It always drives me nuts when people say Friends colors don't fit into City. I always wonder what depressing, non fun, non LEGO city do they live in. I am curious, did you run out of black roof slopes? That one lavender loots out of place. More out of place than Master Chief.
  23. The bigger cells must be selling. There used to be one decent size cell in the 90s. Then that one cell got a little bigger. Then two, then they get bigger and bigger. With the Police Island Jail I'd think the 2017 one would have a smaller cell so then you go buy the jail... nope. But Metro PD Station in 1995-6 had it's own little cell, but the station was nice. The City Center Jr sets even had a small cell. In 2011 they made my favorite modern station and it has two cells, but it's well designed and they are small. Forrest Police half the station is a cell, then we have this set that just expands the two cells idea too much. I'd be fine with three cells as long as the station design doesn't suffer. But it's clear that the designers need to hit design points, two huge cells, a garage, a gate, a satellite dish, a $100 price point. The design of the building comes last.
  24. Thanks! I think my main problem is that LEGO makes MASSIVE jail cells that can hold several minifigs. Mine are MUCH smaller, pretty much just a bed, sink and toilet. Real life there are 1-6 people in a cell when LEGO can do a dance number in just one cell.
  25. I really like the look of the, now previous, Police Station 60047. It looked modern and sleek and I went hunting for it on sale for 'half off' in the summer of 2016. It was $54 (normally $100) at Wallie World in the USA. However one thing I REALLY hated about it was that the jail was so big, it was taller than the station because of the gate underneath. It looked like the designers made one building and then had to cut it in half and stick a prison in the middle. I also don't like the pointless gates that LEGO now adds because they are too cheap to give us two garage doors. Thankfully this is LEGO and things can be changed. Brick & Blue, on Flickr I still need to redo the interior and will add those pictures at a later date. I like how it came out. It's just slight mods to the left tower and right main building. Some more walls were added and the middle jail cell was just completely ignored and stuck on the side of the station. The best part is you get a bunch of extra pieces and I only added two 1x2 blue tiles / grills. Everything else came with the set. And if you don't have them you can use the two 1x2 grill pieces that came with the set and it look fine.
