Lego One Piece rumors and discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Battlinpanther's topic in LEGO Licensed
They did infiltrate that marine base in the opening scene, so hopefully to tie in with that? What draw would that set have otherwise in terms of minifigs? Tashigi alone won‘t sell a $170 set. That’s awfully pessimistic Mr 3 has to be in this! No Baroque Works members, but Dragon (who shows up for like ten seconds) and Bogard (who‘s not even in this season)? Yeah, no thanks -

I think the render makes the fur look darker than it actually is, because I’m sure that’s medium nougat ^^ I’ve been thinking about the sets more and the only one I still don’t like the sound of is the marine ship. The Baratie being the most expensive set in the S1 sets made sense, considering it was the setting of two episodes. What relevance does a marine ship have in S2? The only way this set can be redeemed for me is through featuring a couple of Baroque Works members, otherwise it’ll be pretty pointless in the context of this season. After all, there already is a Loguetown set for Smoker and Tashigi to be included in -
Latest news about Lego animal moulds
BrickBob Studpants replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The workload of part designers might be a bottleneck, but the far bigger one is production capabilities. Related factors are the cost of new moulds (estimated between 250k and 1mil USD per mould, and I think literally, meaning you have to to multiply that for each factory that uses one to produce the pieces afterwards), and storage. The Pokémon theme so far is light on new pieces, but we do know that the small-scale brick-built Pokémon will also introduce new pieces judging by the leaked Pikachu’s ears, which have to be factored into the theme’s budget as well, plus new minifig parts, depending on the characters they chose of course All we know for certain is that we get multiple moulded Pokémon in the Pokéball set, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just Eevee and Pikachu. Certainly not more than 5 in any case!- 5,831 replies

Huh? We have City, Ninjago, Dreamzzz, Monkie Kid, and the Lunar New Year sets (which more often than not have minifigs), plus 50% of Icons and Ideas. If you count non-minifig themes, we also have Classic and Creator, plus Friends as a minidoll theme. And like 80% of Technic -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
That’s what the majority of the sets is gonna be We have the 3 large-scale Pokémon that just got released, 3 more in August (Arcanine, Rayquaza, and Munchlax), the Pokéball that comes with minifigs and moulded Pokémon, and the other 12 sets are all small-scale buildable Pokémon that are compatible with the Smart Brick system. The small-scale Pikachu has leaked months ago to give you an idea what they’ll look like (i.e., a bit Mario-esque except a bit less blocky) Plus another GWP and two paperbags. -

If it’s indeed the baby torso and head, then we have two problems: 1) How would they attach the hat since baby heads only have a bar-sized mini-stud as a connection point, and 2) how would the same hat fit both a baby and a minifig? After all, the hat doesn’t magically grow in size when Chopper transforms Of course they could have designed two hats, one with the head attached (meaning only one facial expression was possible then) and the other without, but that doesn’t solve the size issue -

The Pokéball is the only set said to have minifigs and moulded Pokémon this year, so this goes without saying Pikachu is a given, but I wonder what else they may pick. My money is on a Gen I starter ^^ -

A sketch of the Rave Cave set can be found in the usual place! The set might introduce the rollercoaster pieces in the new blue violet colour, the description says ^^ -

Because it’s a timeless movie Very few things remain relevant for 50 years or longer. Comparing ANH to comparatively short-lived LEGO themes from the 80s and 90s is a bit disingenuous. -

I have a feeling some of you are a bit stuck in the past It’s not the 80s or 90s anymore. Kids’ interests just aren’t the same anymore and generic themes that are so generic you can’t even tell the good and bad guys apart don’t cut it anymore. TLG is the number 1 toy brand today, not the quirky underdog it was 40 years ago AFOLs liked to point at Playmobile to prove that castle, pirates and the like could still be viable nowadays, but A) Playmobile have jumped on the license train too, even acquiring some of the same licenses, and B) they have been in a bad spot financially for years. That said, I do wish they created a couple of new in-house themes. Not at the expense of the licensed themes, but Monkie Kid and Dreamzzz need good replacements! -

He’s nowhere near as small as Babu Frik or Grogu though Sure, LEGO proportions can be funky, but a minifig works way better in my opinion ^^ -

I‘m not one to scoff at new dual-moulded pieces, but the budget can indeed have been spent better In general, this could be a pretty loaded wave in terms of new pieces. The two minifigs confirmed so far both require a new piece each (Dr Hiriluk’s hairdo and Chopper’s head), and some of the unconfirmed but likely to appear characters too, particularly Wapol, Mr 3, Alvida, and Miss All Sunday. The Straw Hats don‘t need new pieces this season as Usopp‘s goggles can be realised as a print on last year‘s bandana piece. Smoker, Tashigi, Miss Valentine, Mr 5, and Dalton could also all be done without new pieces. Other characters I‘m 50:50 on. Miss Wednesday would benefit from a new hairpiece, but they may just as well repurpose an existing ponytail piece. Mr 9, unlikely as he sadly is to appear, may reuse the existing crown/hair combo piece, despite the hairstyle not matching. Where are the factory leaks when you need them?! -

Sure, Mihawk and Zeff will stay exclusive to that one (the former for a looooong time and the latter forever), but I still can‘t imagine them robbing the Baratie of 3 exclusives in one fell swoop. Koby and Helmeppo didn‘t get to do much this season, unlike other characters I‘d rather like to see in that set Possible, but people also expected S2 to drop last year already for the longest time. One year of post-production isn‘t unrealistic, but I don‘t want them to rush either. Having a CGI character as a permanent member of the main cast will take more time I imagine ^^ -

@Scarilian: I didn‘t count Super Sonic / Shadow since they‘re variants Also, if Sonic 3 already didn‘t have an impact on sets, why would the fourth movie? -

I didn‘t say every single member since some clearly had more screentime and importance than others I mean, they even included Mr. and Miss who I never would‘ve expected to show up at all, and those appearances were just too short-lived. Design-wise, I‘d love to have them too, but they‘re more like extended cameos If this was like HP, we‘d definitely see them in minifig form at some point! -

Your definition of a playset is very arbitrary then, if even $100 sets don‘t count anymore Price aside, not counting the Drum Island set as a playset makes no sense to me, considering it‘s the climax of the arc, should contain one of the main villains of the season (and hopefully Chopper‘s humanoid form too), and surely has a play feature or two. There‘s no way this set won‘t target kids. The set has to have a feature to I don‘t know how seasoned OP fans view the Baroque Works characters in comparison to other villain groups, but as a fan of the LA show, I think they are all very memorable and instantly recognisable by their silhouettes alone, as seen on one of the posters. I‘m sure a lot of fans would love to see them in minifig form as much as I do, and TLG must be aware of the collectability Personally, I‘m a huge fan of villain groups with common themes in general, like the Inquisitorius in Star Wars, who funnily enough also use numbers for codenames. I was in the middle of watching S2 when the set news hit and was thus disappointed at first, but my sentiment has shifted. Now I‘m really glad Dr Hiriluk gets a minifig since he was a standout among a season of standouts (and I’m not alone in that, considering S2E7 by far having the highest IMDB rating of all 16 episodes). Kinda funny that the smallest set of each wave is based on a flashback scene depicting a vital moment in a main character‘s backstory -

Mainly? We have 1 buildable figure, 1 buildable object, 1 large playset, and 4 regular playsets, so the majority are still playsets any way you slice it -

Was Bogard even seen in S2? I have a feeling @Scarilian is right and they might throw a Baroque Works member or two in that set. Robbing the Baratie of three of its exclusive minifigs would be a strange move, especially since Koby & Helmeppo have limited screentime in S2. Fingers crossed! They‘ve skipped enough stuff in both seasons to warrant a 2027 wave before S3 hits in 2028. -

I wouldn‘t get my hopes up since Sony didn‘t have many in-house games at the time. Most PSone-era classics are third party, with some of them having switched ownership multiple times since (like poor Spyro and Crash) It‘s not impossible to get Konami, Square, Capcom or others on board, but I‘m not counting on that ^^
