Lego One Piece rumors and discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Battlinpanther's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ohhh, that’d be fun!! I could see them experiment a bit more with other pieces! The pieces used for Aunt Marge could indeed work really well for that! -
There is a BrickHeadz thread, but it’s pretty much abandoned, so I’d say it’s fair to post here! I really appreciate the Turtles all having different shades of green to differentiate them more! I also like that they’re not based on any specific iteration, yet capture the essence of each of them

Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not sure if I would rank it quite that highly myself (top 15 or even top 10 material for sure though), but it's definitely a very well-made set that stands out among the crowd And yes, that is one of the best light brick integrations I've ever seen in a set, rivaled only by the Disney 100 projector GWP and a similar feature in a recent Friends set. The fact the window panels for that feature are all printed, just like they were in the other sets, adds a lot of value too! -
Animal Crossing - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
There are so many characters they could still do like Tom Nook's nephews, the missing Able sisters, or ANY of the seasonal / visiting characters! And of course, Crazy Redd. I NEED HIM. Speaking of whom: Never gonna happen, but how awesome would it be to have miniature versions of all the paintings and statues from the games? I don't even know how that would work on a legal level Did Nintendo have to acquire licenses from the museums that host these pieces of art, despite being public domain? Or is a digital replication safe while a LEGO recreation would require a fee? I know they worked together with the MOMA for the van Gogh Ideas set, but would that sort of collab be necessary for every individual piece of art? -
According to brickmerge, 72537 is the previously rumoured Olivia Rodrigo set, so the identity of „Lollipop“ has now been revealed too! …which means KPDH is indeed still missing among the set numbers we currently know of Turns out you were right, @Accio Lego

Pooh looks great, Piglet… eh Nice to see the minifigs return, but Christopher Robin would’ve been a welcome addition! Also, there’s only thing that comes to my mind when looking at the piglet figure: FIRMLY GRASP IT!! -

It is, because if a GWP is expected to sell out in half a day, some people will get the respective required set on day one, who otherwise probably would’ve waited for a sale. Of course you can argue that few people overall act like this, but it’s still a rather questionable tactic No, I didn’t mean they should continue producing the GWP sets, but rather create a large enough supply that lasts them longer Of course storage space is an obvious problem here. -
Latest news about Lego animal moulds
BrickBob Studpants replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The list is accurate, as it’s from Maxbautde It’s not the first time we had a full list of the September CMF before getting detailed information on or pics of the May series. Pretty sure that also happened in 2024 with the D&D series! If I remember correctly, there was also one year where we had pictures of the May series before the January one was on shelves even- 5,707 replies

In my opinion, they should crank up the production anyway. There can never be too many copies of a GWP. If it’s attached to a set which then proceeds to bomb, simply attach it to another one They could probably even produce enough to provide one for each purchased set for its entire lifespan, and still come out on top! It’s a win either way, since the goal is to get customers to buy directly from LEGO The artificial scarcity to induce FOMO is the issue in my book, not the idea of a GWP as such. -
Out of the franchises that actually have a chance of getting a LEGO theme, I can only point to a small handful that I really want In terms of TV shows, I would like to see the return of SpongeBob. Nuff said. Avatar TLA (be it the cartoon or the LA Netflix show) would also be more than welcome, and the same goes for Gravity Falls. The Mystery Shack, Appa, and the Krusty Krab are probably the three projects that reached 10k votes the most times on Ideas I forgot the tally, but all of them made it at least 5 times I think, some probably closer to 10 As for movies, Shrek was one of the few major kid-friendly franchises that wasn’t covered yet. I can’t even really think of anything else here, besides other Dreamworks and Disney movies! Video games, now here I have more IPs I want to see! Kirby, Splatoon, Metroid, Spyro, Crash, Layton, and Ace Attorney are all firmly on that wishlist! Doubtful any of them ever get made, but we used to say the same thing about Mario, Zelda, and Animal Crossing.

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That is indeed an issue. Some GWP sets run out of stock within hours and others are still available at the end of the period, sometimes even returning a few months later! By now they should have enough data to definitely know which kinds of GWP sets will run out quicker than others and adjust production accordingly. Even without sophisticated analyses it’s become super obvious that licensed ones are guaranteed to run out quicker than any other GWP. I didn’t imply that the way GWP are handled is flawless, as there is certainly a lot of room for improvement. My point was merely about it not being a full-blown scam -

You can dislike GWP sets for multiple reasons, but a scam they are not. There is no trickery or deceit involved, and the conditions are transparent: buy set x or meet a threshold, and you get an exclusive set valued at a certain price as a bonus. Not sure where the scam’s supposed to be Creating FOMO is questionable ethically, but it still doesn’t constitute a scam. You get what you pay for -
Yeah, there aren’t too many options overall! Maybe Stonewars used “Gaming” as a generic placeholder because of the set number. Or Lollipop isn’t KPDH at all and that theme instead gets a completely different number, leaving it for the returning theme! Fingers crossed the identities of those two themes will also be revealed soon, but I’m already very satisfied with Shrek getting both sets and a CMF series ^^
-
It’s definitely an option! The main issue is that Portal isn’t overly relevant right now… It’s been 10 years since Dimensions and there hasn’t been a new game since. And calling any Dimensions-only license a “returning theme” is a bit of a stretch

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I thought so too at first, but this year marks the 25th anniversary, and Shrek is popular enough for sets and CMF series to do well even before the next movie comes out -
That’s exactly our current conundrum… If Lollipop is KPDH, which one is the returning gaming theme, assuming Stonewars got it right? Also, both Lollipop and P only have one set each, not much of a “theme” to be honest! Which theme would return with a single set anyway?
-
Considering the focus of the series lies solely on the first three movies, I suppose the alleged sets will be based on the fifth movie and thus come out next year? Or they might start with a wave based on the first four movies this year, in which case there would be significant overlap with the series, unless they’re mostly variants! I mean the only main characters we’re missing are Fiona’s parents, Rumpelstilzchen, and Arthur (I wish The Last Wish got some love too) Edit: It’s the theme codenamed “B”!! 72423 is a buildable Shrek & Donkey. I opened a separate thread ^^
