  1. I would be super happy with a purple car, was waiting for a bigger purple release since 42069 :) Even though that set looked partially purple, it only had like 3 type of beams and a handful of panels in that color.
  2. @allanp I wouldn't build complicated theories on a few words from his video just yet. The guy shares leaks, mostly from retailers I assume since they get information in advance, so we don't even know if LEGO had any real claims there. I highly doubt TLG will give us anything more powerful than buggy motors, honestly I would be very surprised if we see any new hardware components for the Powered Up / Control+ system at this point.
  3. I guess we are talking about the Control+ era, it is not that difficult to be the fastest or most powerful here :) Also, I don't think power really matters with a race car that supposed to run on flat surfaces indoors, I guess it's more about speed. The "fastest" C+ vehicle is the 42124 Off-Road buggy currently that only has a single L motor. If they keep the weight down, use 2 L motors and street tires, the car can easily be faster than the buggy.
  4. Might be a successor to the Defender?
  5. @Seasider the Daytona was revealed in November 2021, the 750s was revealed last April, so it can easily be that model.
  6. You are right, we need to wait and see if it is "better overall", but it's certainly not "worse in terms of functions" :)
  7. Maybe it's a bit early to jump on conclusions like that? The set clearly has shock absorbers, it also has pullrod suspension at the rear, and has HOG added. There's no cutout over the engine, but a removeable section, and we got the slick tires. Development compared to 42141 is clearly visible, so it's definitely not the same. We will have to wait and see with the set in hand if all these things are enough to have a decent build, but it's almost certainly better than the McLaren.
  8. Sorry but I don't think your collectors' perspective is valid for a wider audience, nobody has to buy anything. If someone is into F1 cars, they will get the F1 sets. If they only prefer supercars, they will only buy those. If someone wants to have everything, they will get what they can afford :)
  9. I don't think Technic is so strictly categorized by scale. We had multiple formula race cars in 1:8 scale before the hypercar lineup, 42000 for example, but 8674 was even labeled as 1:8 on the box.1:10 was used for a while but with the introduction of the Ford GT that seems to change as well.
  10. I don't think the McLaren was labelead anywhere as 1:10. Considering the size of the real cars and the dimensions of these, they are pretty close to 1:8
  11. Have you tried turning it off and on again? :) Also, app reinstall might be another thing to test.
  12. Interesting idea! I have a 2.4RC Brick that had a similar concept with 2 PF ports, although that required an external Flysky receiver. Having more than 2 ports is great, but I wonder how you plan to deal with PU servo control if there is no software involved for the calibration.
  13. If you mean the Zetros, then there were multiple changes in the set apart the hub upgrade. You can find more information here:
  14. I received hundreds of comments on the video, and 2 alternative options came up multiple times that I didn't consider: - Ford Mustang GTD - they call it a supercar and it's competing against the Porsche GT3 RS. It has adjustable suspension, active rear wing, would be an interesting design in 1:8 scale. - McLaren GTS - The latest McLaren, literally revealed a day after my video was published, would fit my brand prediction
  15. I would say the exact opposite - finally we have some childish playsets in the Technic theme that have more than 300 pieces, and not just licensed vehicles with basic functionality. And swooshing sounds are obligatory while you play with them ;)
  16. Here's a different perspective and presentation about the 3 new Space sets, focusing mostly on the features and the new parts:
  17. It really depends. What I've learned through my years of reviewing is that every set has fans and haters. And even if I think something is "not good enough", there are a lot of people who really love that set and don't understand why I'm so picky. And for that same set, there are people who think I'm way too lenient on this build. People have different expectations and different levels of experience. What doesn't make you happy might make someone else happy, and that shouldn't be held against them either.
  18. You're complaining about the January-March sets that are usually smaller and mostly targeting kids. How many more "functional" sets we got last year in the same period? 42152 Firefighter Aircraft had some tricks but the 42181 VTOL will have at least as many if not more.
  19. I guess you didn't build many City or Speed Champions sets lately, this is the exact setup you will find in them :)
  20. The average target audience of this set is a 9 year old kid who will be pumped to be able to put a minifig in that seat.
  21. To be honest, LEGO's own B models didn't always meet their standards. There were some great models, without a doubt, but some really felt forced and boring. Rebrickable offers something more - you don't have a single B model, you can choose from a wide selection. If you are not a rookie then you can find designers you know and trust, so I totally see the site as something to rely on.
  22. I don't think TLG wants to buy Rebrickable because it wouldn't offer them similar value to Bricklink. Not much has changed there since the acquisition btw, actually less than I'd like - for example, it still takes forever for the inventory of a new set to be uploaded, even though they have the option to provide it "in house".
  23. @ElGreco I suggest to follow the modification of @Train of Thought Creations, based on further testing my solution was not bulletproof. He posted it a few days ago in this topic.
  24. Give me a hint how you would do that :) In the top view the driving wheel is practically invisible, from the side you can't really see all gears so you cannot put arrows around them.
