  1. Nice review as ever! I read a review on IG that claimed that the distribution of figures was 1 row = one complete set seemed far to good to be true but would certainly make life easier hah! Im assuming from your in-depth and detailed review and the tips on the “feel etiquette “ that the IG review claim was nonsense?
  2. The rumour being referenced is for a Star Destroyer not an SSD. It’s pretty much pure speculation at the moment based on piece count and various other tid bits
  3. Heads up for folks in UK Smyths are doing £10 off for every £50 you spend, includes UCS Falcon mean you can pick it up for £520 ?
  4. After saving for Cloud city and Hogwarts & deciding that actually Cloud city wasn't for me picked up a few goodies on my wanted list and realised Hogwarts would have to wait ;)
  5. For folks in the UK: Argos are doing their 3 for 2 toys offer and all the HP sets are included! Winner winner chicken dinner!
  6. Glad I wasn’t the only one at a Smyths doing this today! To be fair nobody batted an eyelid and only comments I got were “ wish I had the patience / wish I could do that “ kind of thing. The manager came over after I had been there for an hour and asked if I wanted a chair and an uonpened box to find the rest! I thanked her for the extremely kind offer but I had already found Percival and only needed a couple more so said I’d be fine. She said well just let me know if you change your mind. Anyways 15 mins later had my full 22 paid and said thank you once again for being so accommodating. Trusty fingers served me well and I had all 22 no duplicates hoorah! TL/DR: @ Smyths, Don’t worry too much they are used to it. And ask politely if you can look through an unopened box :)
  7. Aye I know Asda is part of Walmart group but just seems strange as they have never done any of the other Walmart exclusives. In my experience majority of Asda stores Lego consists of cheap impulse buy sets eg battle packs Brickheadz, Mighty Micros and on the off chance the stores have anything “larger” ( £15+) they inevitably slash it by 40-50% as they become shelf huggers. You could well be right though as not seen it listed anywhere else and with TRu gone maybe Asda thought they’d give it a pop. Really hope not though as it would be quite difficult to get as like I said most Asda stores only have a range of about 10 sets total to cover all themes :/ ( obvs it’s available through S@H so granted not “hard” just have to cough up p&p )
  8. In the UK at least the Ant man & Wasp set was spotted in the wild early in the week in Asda stores so assuming it's not exclusive here as they don't do exclusive as far as I'm aware
  9. Found them in my local Tesco in the Midlands but had to hunt for them as they weren’t in the aisle with the rest of the Lego stock. They were in a Display area on their own with the Solo sets. Read on FB that other stores had a similar set up so worth just asking or have a wander around the whole store if you get blanks stares from the assistant
  10. It says: sometimes referred to as system scale. And the citation used is a car. Obviously Lego has a massive range of themes and so there will be a massive range of differentiation in what system scale means within each theme. Add to that ratio factors: a smaller 1 man craft and the difference between system and Minifig scale is much harder to notice/ see. The example given is perfect illustration with the falcon, but any large set will show that system is not default Minifig scale: AT-AT, ISD, The Ghost even. I think Robianco maybe right that the New UCS Y-wing looks closer to the mark than the RO version but is a little oversized to be true Minifig scale
  11. No sadly it requires that 2 of the feet from the left hand side of the Falcon be removed, front and rear (the more central one can remain) as can the other 4
  12. Obviously it will vary country by country but it seems Lego are finally on their way to meeting demand. I say this as here in the UK it has been available for nearly a week in the online store where previously it’s been a matter of a couple of hours and most Lego stores have also been carrying stock. I know that’s small comfort for you in Canada but it is indicative that it will readily available within the foreseeable future
  13. Thank you for the info @Space_jaco much appreciated and will keep that in mind about the hoses ?
  14. Are there any unique / really expensive pieces in the UCS R2-D2 ? Never bricklinked anything before but tempted to as the price is starting to get prohibitive on second hand market. Or considering the popularity of the brick built BB8 and the rumours for a similar set for a Porg later in the year, is it a possibility Lego will release another R2 like this?
  15. Finally managed to order one yesterday when they came back in stock. Double VIP was a nice little bonus too. As with most folks all I have to do now is work out where the hell its going to fit ?
  16. Is that info from Lego themselves? Or just what the store says as I find that hard to believe. Here, in the U.K at least, when a new CMF range is released if you go to an actual Lego store I have always found that the Lego employees themselves will willingly assist in helping you to feel for specific characters and seem well practiced and far quicker than I so it’s obviously something they do a lot. Seems to me more like an excuse from the retailer to stop theft. Anyways, managed to pick up what I thought were all 20 of 2nd series my local Entertainer after 40 mins of squishing bags, but got home to realise I’d mixed Swimsuit Alfred with Hugo strange ( thought bottle was his glass) and Zanya for Zod ( record cover for newspaper ) not bad success rate though 18/20 rectified this morning at local Smyths and got Alfred and Zod so all good
  17. Flying fox is £60 at John Lewis in U.K. Which makes it a considerably more" stomachable" purchase
  18. Interesting as this is in direct conflict with information posted by another user that the Leicester Square store was opening at midnight on the 14th and that sets would be available to be signed by the designer. All too aware from past experiences that different Lego employees give differing answers to the same question ........Would be interested to know which is correct Personally I can't believe that having made the release such a "BIG" event with the slow burn of teasers etc. That Lego would choose not to have the set available in bricks and mortar stores :/
  19. Picked up Rebel Trooper Battlepack 75164 for £2 at Asda ...........don't usually bother with battlepacks but £2 seriously who can say no to that? Plenty on shelves nice lil army sat for folks that way minded apologies for quote box can't seem to get rid
  20. In th UK It's readily available at most places you would find magazines. It's totally kid centric and aimed at young children with short comic stories and colouring activities etc. After a bit of googling it appears it is produced by a U.K. Based publisher so it maybe it's not available in other countries.
  21. It is indeed the "free gift" with next months copy of Lego Star Wars magazine. Release date is 8th March. Current gift is a micro scale Ghost
  22. Not sure what country you are in but Ikea are pretty multi national no? So should have you covered ? They look like Ribba box frames to me from IKEA. Good price and wide range of sizes.
  23. I posted this a couple of pages back but to save you trekking through the cold for potential disappointment you can claim the poly online here http://mediapromos.co.uk/legobatman/
  24. In regards to the Phantom Zone poly UK giveaway in tomorrow's Times brickset have posted an update on claiming online:
  25. I'm in the same boat but thankfully the article states that it will also be redeemable online :D phew
