  1. Oooh. These doors look good.
  2. That of forum's bane perhaps a markov chain! output of computer an English diluter to spam again and again! (I couldn't resist)
  3. This is sorta what I am looking for, but it will have to take some thinkin' and Bricklink orderin' as I am sparse on Technic stuff. Thanks. I'm trying to sort through my stuff that I have been fiddling with for the last several years.
  4. I can't seem to be able to edit it. I somehow pasted a reference link into the title... EDIT: thanks to whoever changed it!
  5. EDIT: Yes, I somehow jacked up the title it should read "[WIP] C&O Heavy Pacific" In the early Twentieth Century, the Chesapeake & Ohio used a fleet of Pacific 4-6-2s to haul some of its passenger trains. http://mrr.trains.co...RRNP0214_39.jpg http://s3.amazonaws....-11128_4081.jpg I have been working on and off on this one for several years now. This is not continuously, mind you. I would say I am about 75% done with this. The tender is a placeholder as I would like to build a better normal one or the more accurate Vanderbilt tender that the prototype comes with. However, I am trying to think how to properly do the tank portion as I currently use the tender to power it with 9V motors and have the tender filled with weights for better traction. Things I'm trying to sort out The under the smokebox shape. It's complicated because of the way the cylinders attach. I want to replace the brick built cylinders with technic liftarm based ones as the currents ones have a habit of randomly exploding whilst running... Sorting out the greebling, namely above the drivers. Giving the cab an interior. It seems to run well around stock curves although the cylinders have to be realigned after awhile of running.
  6. Yes. I thought about doing that, but it would ruin the proportions. In the first iteration, I actually did use those pieces instead of cheese, but found they were one or two plates too tall. I had like several PAB cups full of them I had got just for this. I am probably just going to put old style couplers on them instead and I try not to modify.
  7. Oh my this was instantly recognizable. I think this is one of the best TNG interiors I have seen. Most of the quarters sets were just reconfigured for various crew members, so if you did this right you could easily just swap furniture for other characters. And it is a chair... http://www.hlsl.co.uk/blog/2014/7/13/worf-isnt-the-only-90s-character-with-a-strange-taste-in-furniture
  8. I was about to ask how you got that short chain, but I found it on Bricklink. Your guardrails are amazing.
  9. I actually do have a heavy Pacific I built to pull them. I was actually going to post it tomorrow when there's more light for photos. I also do have the Lone Ranger train, but I usually use that for back woods logging runs.
  10. I have created a set of 6 wide heavyweights for my setup. I built two coaches and a combine baggage car. These are meant for local service. Cheeky sailor for scale. I am still working on a good diaphragm design. I am still basing it off the old Metroliner coach design. For the coaches, I managed to keep the roof removable to access the interior. I am really liking the design so far. However, I still am not satisfied with the use of cheese in the roof, but at this size, I can't seem to find a small enough curve. I am probably going to fix the trucks to eliminate the buffer style couplers. Also, I'll probably remove the second door on the combine and extend the passenger area and add interiors to the rest. Another thing is to expand the amount of dark green, but that is complicated by part selection, especially by lack of jumpers and tiles...
  11. I found that sometimes it just takes running the motor for a time and it sometimes sorts itself out. This happens especially after not running for a period of time.
  12. Hello. I used to have an account here, but the last time I posted was years ago and my style is really different now, so I figured on starting fresh. I used to be into space creations but have now focused on trains and ships from the first half of the 20th Century and especially trains from central Virginia. I'm currently working on a 1930s Chesapeake & Ohio diorama/module and am gradually building rolling stock and buildings. It's based on an area near Richmond, VA. I'm also working on a playset scale pre-Dreadnought battleship. I will be posting about them soon.
