Wow, what a line up. Battle of Hogwarts was a given eventually with the figs introduced in the room of requirement. We need Ron, and this follows the tradition now of the Ā£45 Hogwarts winter set being made almost redundant by the figures being released elsewhere. I expect a green Voldemort, Harry, Ron, aberforth maybe (if heās not in the expecto patronum set) the build will probably be another courtyard expansion, or maybe the bell towers with the hanging walkways and a big staircase? I thought the 2000+ piece set was Gringots, but the Knight Bus? Thatās wild. No idea how Gringots is going to work, if itās on a thin baseplate like the rest of DA, how is the underground stuff going to work? Intrigued to say the least. At ā¬400 odd, Iād be surprised if we didnāt get atleast another building. If I was to bet, I reckon the set will be Gringots facade, vaults, dragon, Borgin and burkes. Expecto Patronum is interesting. Could be a display set of that scene in POA, I hope itās a DHp2 set though, could have Abberforth, spiders, troll, basically everything from the āCourtyard Apocalypseā scene. Dobbyā¦not for me thank you quidditch Trunk? Maybe a good parts pack EDIT: oh wow thereās two sets we donāt even know about including a 1000+ piece? Damn, considering Grimmauld Place was one of the later known exclusives last year, very exciting Iāve seen a lot of people saying that Harry Potter is a dying and unpopular theme, but this is the most sets ever in a year right? I mean thereās TWO D2Cs?! 11 regular sets, advent calendar, 2 D2Cs, two Brickheadz packs, a polybag, and then exclusive book minifigā¦big year for the theme. guess I have to get the Hogwarts Express pretty soon so Iām not 2 Ā£400+ sets behind⦠-

If I were to hazard some guesses. The Velociraptor set will feature the open roof car (the one they escape the T-Rex in), the Dilophosaurus set will be the Nedry scene, but include the newer, smaller Dilophosaurus mould. The Triceratops set will feature a tour car. Not sure about the brachiosaurus set, theyāre just in the same cars as Nedry would have, so maybe the build is the body of the Brachiosaurus and a big tree? The Visitor centre will be a very thin facade, and Iām betting will include Rexy and a Raptor, leading to the bonus of getting all 3 Raptors if youāve collected all the JP sets theyāve done -

That does look really great. just ordered the Bomber, intrigued to see how well it scales with the older style TIE. If it looks dramatically different Iāll probably invest in that newer scale version -
I wouldnāt be surprised if we got a 15th Doctor Brickheadz with a Dalek or something

So it pretty much suffers the same design flaws as the original, the ottos is too long and misshapen -

How does it look worse than the last one, that being the first superheroes I didnāt get because of how bad it looked. The only good superheroes D2C this year has to be the Sanctum, and even that is so-so -

The reaction to the razorcrest is quite funny to see. All comments are āshouldnāt be stickersā āLego surely donāt think this will sell for $600ā ātoo expensiveā have these people been living under a rock since 2017? Thereās been 3 UCS vehicles sets over that price since then that have included stickers and sold wellā¦and this is the cheapest of the lot, the way everyone acts surprised and like this is out of the blue is really quite humorous -

Thereās virtually no silver on it. Maybe Iāll get it eventually. But at the moment thatās an easy pass. The Ā£30 micro galaxy squadron version is better right now just because itās accurately coloured -

Oh my that isā¦something. look, this may be a morbid take on it, but this, Hasbroās āLegacyā line, and Hot toys redoing Black Panther figures does kinda feel like profiteering off of his death to me. Like yeah it is honouring his impact, but at the same time, these are all big companies looking to make money⦠I dunno, weird move in my opinion -

Iām stumped. Every guess I have contradicts something on that list. I thought maybe buildable props for each avengers, or a big marvel logo. But vehicle really gets in the way of guessed. What is there other than a quinjet or the milano to be so iconic. And they donāt really celebrate the franchise do they? And a Sanctuary II or Q ship also doesnāt. Maybe itās just a model of Kevin Feige in a golf caddy full of merch -

Cars are usually made exceptions for. But big things like this can easily be made at a more accurate scale without compromising on detail and compatibility. The 2018 is almost perfect for size, itās just squished lengthwise, if it was āstretchedā out, it would be perfect. Thatās all this set needed to be really -

So the platform is about 50 studs long, about 40cm. Thatās pretty massive. The giant train just makes it look tiny. Stick it next to an accurate sized moc, or the 2018 set, and that will look banging also; Ā£20 cheaper than I was expecting. Great stuff -

So I havenāt had a chance to do have some proper thoughts on this, but honestly, Iām mixed. But not for the common reasons Iām seeing. couldnāt care less that Ron and Hermione arenāt there from the epilogue, I wonāt be displaying the potters on that station, thereās far better potential displays in my opinion. I think all the Minifigures included are fab, my only criticism is that we donāt have a train driver? Such a strange omission in a collectors set. Other than that, love the selection. A Blaze and the slytherin girl might have been nice though. the platform is beautiful, too short, but beautifully done. Park that next to the 2018 train, or even a MOC longer one (accurate proportions) and it will look great. With a train this big though? Way too small for the train itself, itās looks incredible. Some odd choices like the floating sign on the face, and the 3D yellow trim aside, it looks fantastic. My only issue is the size. It didnāt bother me at first, but yeah, itās way too big. I get why theyāve done it, but it still looks wrong. I would have preferred that they shrink down the train, and add an extra arch to the platform. as for people complaining that thereās only one carriage. On paper, yes. That is a huge oversight. In reality, looking at the sheer size and length of that model, it baffles me that peoples complaint is a missing carriage. If it was smaller then sure, but at this size youāre easily adding on another 30cm or more, and another Ā£50 to the price tag, maybe more. At a more āminifigā scale (basically the 2018 one but stretched) then absolutely, 2 carriages would make it only a big longer than this set. But at this size? Youāre looking at something nearly 2 meters long, just wouldnāt work. overall itās a good set, but lesser than the sun of its parts. The station is amazing, the train is amazing, the Minifigures are amazing. But the station and Minifigures donāt quite work with the train. I think Iāll have the train displayed alone, and my MOC 2018 version with the station -
