  1. Beautiful work. I can't believe there isn't an official Gordon Freeman minifigure yet.
  2. Having a little trouble seeing how lava demons are supposed to be intimidated by moss and bark people lead by a mushroom man...
  3. Out of curiosity, what part of the above, exactly, did you think was not entirely subjective?
  4. I really hope Nexo Knights is the new Ninjago in terms of staying power. Knights + sci-if pushes all the right buttons for me.
  5. You think someone involved with overseeing the license has some kind of vendetta against Gondor? What's really odd is that the Lord of the Rings theme is pretty much tailor-made for army-building, but the only faction that ever ended up being released in appreciable numbers was the Isengard Uruk-Hai.
  6. I'm pleased everyone seemed to like the dino-riders suggestion. Dinosaurs make everything more awesome. Fighting armies of mushrooms and seaweed doesn't seem very much different... ...nonetheless, you can easily make your own cookie army, you know.
  7. And why did they never make any Gondorian soldiers? They went to the trouble of reproducing the hideous, blink-and-you-miss-them Laketown guards in minifigure form, but the Gondorian troops, who probably have more screen time than any other soldiers in the films, got completely stiffed.
  8. Isn't the Queen's armour just a variation on the King's with Macy's helmet in blue and gold?
  9. Not so much. All the recent Rebel pilots have "low hanging guts". ;-)
  10. -More Knights in different colours -More structures -Weapons/armour packs -Something resembling this:
  11. The MHC is fine. The problem is that the included Umbaran troops should have had the Atlantis pressure suits to better replicate the look of their peculiar battle-gear rather than the Space Police Commando helmets they ended up with.
  12. By far and away my favourite SW minifigure is the 75003 A-Wing Starfighter Pilot, with the recent Boba Fett coming in second.
  13. I'd like to see a revamped TIE Defender and an actual E-Wing. Jek-14's starfighter was nice, but it just doesn't scratch the itch.
  14. Some sort of small battle-tower/turret (similar to the detachable unit of Axl's Tower Carrier) would make for an interesting medium-sized set. You know, something you could park the Hyper Cannon and the like on top of.
  15. So goes the contention, but not all historians agree, as I understand it. Regardless, the point is that the flail-mace/mace-and-chain is a fairly recognisable weapon associated in the public mind with knights and the Middle Ages, and might be a visually-striking arm for a future Nexo Knight. I don't think we need to bring historical plausibility into it at all, given we've already got two women in armour wielding maces and warhammers, a knight with a crossbow as his primary weapon, and everyone's presumably wearing powered armour anyway.
  16. With the release of the Blue Power Jet, I think one thing we really need is a fighter pilot with a proper crash helmet + oxygen mask.
  17. That would be nice. The other Knights are essentially following the "Adeptus Astartes" design ethos already, after all. Well, maybe not quite. The flail (which seems analogous to Jay's nunchuku in terms of potential parts usage) is a pretty commonly-seen medieval weapon in modern media, and we don't have anyone wielding one of those yet. As for non-stereotypical weapons, there's always the pike or glaive or halberd (maybe even a small cannon, since we already have a Knight with a crossbow).
  18. Thankfully. The plain yellow limbs on the Knights' Kingdom II Rogue Knights and later-series Atlantis divers made them look like they were going bare-armed and legged. A Knight in Ava's colours (post-timeskip/growth spurt or a sibling/cousin?) would be cool, though.
  19. Seconding Scurrier packs. I'd also like to have seen the Knights and jet-horses released as small boxed sets, rather than as components of larger ones, but that's all water under the bridge now, and suppose.
  20. Also giving them regular yellow heads instead of those odd robot faces. I've got a couple more ideas, but I won't share them just yet... As for future minifigures, Merlok is supposedly coming packed with a book sometime soon: I hope we see more Knights in different colours, though. They've still got purple, orange and black (hopefully not Robin, or if they must, at least give him a plot-relevant growth spurt like Lloyd Garmadon) to potentially use among the primaries (I don't think anyone really wants a brown or pink knight).
  21. Nice review. I was kind of on the fence about this set, but I think you've convinced me. The Ultimate Knights are great (Ultimate Clay is probably my favourite minifigure in this range thus far): the translucent parts suggest the armour is some kind of "hard light" construct; the "ultimate" expression of the Nexo power, if you will.
