Heroica RPG - Quest#9: Trespassers
Quarryman replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Ah, more beasts to kill, I shall cast a Wood spell at Mutant Frog B from the Back Row." -
Heroica RPG - Quest#9: Trespassers
Quarryman replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
"That, mr Althior, is a very good point. I have to agree. So, why don't we flip a coin, on heads we go right, tails we go left" Namyrra throws a coin in the air and as the party watches it lands solidly showing heads. "So, I say we go right, unless anyone has a better idea?" -
Heroica RPG - Quest#9: Trespassers
Quarryman replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Uhm, if we split up we would want the most powerful among us, which is Althior, to go with the group with two inexperienced members, he's the most likely to be capable of vanquishing any foes they encounter." -
Heroica RPG - Quest#9: Trespassers
Quarryman replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
"So, time to move on then, follow the tracks further? It seems like something sinister is at play here, some simple poachers wouldn't carry around parchments with orders I think" -
Heroica RPG - Quest#9: Trespassers
Quarryman replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Ah, wasn't that a nice and easy way to start the day?" -
Heroica RPG - Quest#9: Trespassers
Quarryman replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Hah, one pathetic humanoid alone! This should be a piece of cake! " "I shall cast a darkness spell at the Bandit from the Back row" -
Heroica RPG - Quest#9: Trespassers
Quarryman replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
"So, mr Althior, any effect from that compass?" (OOC: it wouldn't make sense to act based on something Althior "feels", there's a difference between player knowledge and character knowledge after all. ) -
Heroica RPG - Quest#9: Trespassers
Quarryman replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
"That's an interesting idea, and I think it could work, but remember that if we do split there will, in one of the parties, be two inexperienced persons, something that could be a problem if that party runs into trouble. Not saying splitting up is a bad idea though, it could very well be the most efficient approach to solving our task." -
With sinking heart Namyrra realized the huge ogre heading their way was the one named "Skrall" who were to come with them on their quest. Surely this had to be some cruel jape from Artanis the god of tricksters to test her ability to cope with the less fortunate of the younger races. So, gathering a considerable amount of strength she stood up straight addressed the ogre in a voice as polite as possible. "I am Namyrra, of the clan Uq, a Fenarian currently studying the ways of you younger races, and the best way of learning as much as possible is to join up with Heroica, so this I did. And this will be my second quest in service to this noble organisation."

Having heard the lists of heroes selected for quests #9 and #10 had been posted Namyrra purposefully strode through the hall to the Quest Board, at which she, with some delight, discovered that she'd been chosen to go search for trespassers for the Hinckwells, along with no less than three other mages, and a ranger and a rogue, surely a group packing some serious firepower. She searched for the others from her quest group and noticed the mage Arasmyth standing next to Grogan the Groundskeeper. As she was already satisfied with her equipment and supplies she went to join them in wait for the rest of the group.

Having heard that there was a new quest posted Namyrra rised and went to check out the quest board. But seeing as the newly posted quest were for the Guild of Invision and she already enjoyed a good reputation with the Ziegfrieds who would likely frown upon their favoured heroes going around helping their upstart rivals (not to mention that being a mage herself doing something that would upset the most powerful magical family in Eubric would be a Bad Idea) she decided against signing up for the Guild's quest, surely there would be other quests to sign up for later instead.

A Guide to building a Medieval Village
Quarryman replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Really enjoyed the first chapter, thanks for taking the time to show us your secrets Derfel, it's greatly appreciated. -
Ever annoyed by vandals not respecting institutions of education and enlightenment Namyrra eagerly signed up for Quest#10.

Well, I guess I have myself to blame for Namyrra not showing up, using a head from sets you're unlikely to have and all. (I almost expect you to have the set Namyrra's torso is from though, and I know you have the skirt ) Great job anyway, the effort you put into Heroica is really amazing.

Getting rather bored with just sitting in the Hall and meditating Namyrra eagerly went to the quest board and signed up for Quest#9.

Exactly. (it's a shame that I forgot to check the marketplace though, seeing as it was written so literally there ) So then Althior couldn't have gotten a magic burst with his diamond-imbued dagger in Round 1 of the Crozen Porthiar Battle in Quest#5, and Crozen should thus have 16 HP more at the moment.

And another question, I've tried to search through this whole thread and couldn't find anything about it: Can gems imbued in a weapon be used for elemental spells?

Babylon 5: Earth Alliance Hyperion Heavy Cruiser
Quarryman replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
This is brilliant, great job on capturing the look of the Hyperion class. How about Babylon 5 itself? That would truly be something to see. -
Not sure if it's an important character, but it does look like you have Captain Greenhair in drag in there.

For round 2 of the 2011 MocOlympics currently taking place at MOCPages, I and my opponent were tasked with building a mecha for one of the released collectible minifigures. I found the absurdity of a mecha using fitness instructor quite appealing, and jumped at the opportunity to build something pink. When the Mecha Corps realized that their mecha drivers were getting lazy and fat they decided to try an unorthodox approach to dealing with the problem and hired a civilian fitness instructor to give the soldiers some excersise. Unfortunately they didn't quite get what they anticipated..

Were you the one who brought the large Swedish frigate MOC? (or were there more swedes around?) -
It's "R'kilf", and I do believe it's because it's Flickr backwards.
