  1. Absolutely, the water and the cliff were way too simplistic and poorly designed. That's the main part of the anticlimax I experienced when finished with this MOC actually. In that case I'll just bribe your husband to make sure you don't have time to build, or failing that, make sure that your builds have unforeseen "accidents"
  2. "Well, in a way you could say it is, there are just too many aspects of Fenarian life that are shaped by everyone being able to practice magic to some degree that they've over time become mightily inconvenient to do in a non-magical fashion. So while it technically is possible to choose not to practice magic everyone just does it."
  3. "Guess we have to head back to the first intersection we came to then, where we went right, but this time take the left path."
  4. I'll see if I have some pictures of him too once I get home tonight. Or I'll take a couple of new shots of him.
  5. "Yes, that does sound like a plan, some extra gold would be nice. So let's keep moving and see what we can find."
  6. Created for Round 3 of the MocOlympics currently taking place on MOCpages.com, in which me and my opponent were tasked with building something that fit the quote "I am your father!" And after some frustrating days trying to come up with something funny for this category I ended up turning to mythology, and clearly the one mythological person with the most interesting children is Loki, father of Fenrir the wolf, Hel queen of the realm of the same name (the viking version of Hell), and the humongous Midgard serpent who could curl around the entire world and bite his own tail. So I decided to build the Midgard serpent, or Jörmungandr as he's also called. The bottom of his jaw is a bit of homage to TLG's model of the same creature, the serpent head from 7018 . The full set of photos on Flickr. And some closing words, this became one of those "anticlimax MOCs", I'm sure you've all had them, you start out with something you feel is a great idea, and it's looking pretty good for most of the time, until it all falls flat in the end and you're really unhappy when it's finally posted. If this hadn't been a contest entry I don't think I would have posted it in its current state. And in case anyone's wondering, I didn't make it to Round 4, as Etzel put it: "beaten by bible-fanatic child abuser"
  7. "Ouch! If you wanted me to stop singing you could have just asked nicely you know. "
  8. While waiting for Skrall to decide how to divide the bandits' gold Namyrra sits down and starts to sing a Fenarian song horribly out of tune. ()
  9. "Well, that was also easy. Now, I think we should check that paper before moving on. And I expect there to be nothing interesting here, or is there anything of interest here?" Namyrra looked at the woods and the ground while waiting for the others to decide what to do next. OOC: you got my power wrong, it's 14 now (9+5).
  10. Namyrra gently nudged Bob the elf to see if he was still awake or if he'd fallen asleep. (OOC: it's been more than 24 hours..)
  11. Have to say that the concept "second-hand seafood" was quite hilarious, looking forward to seeing what other sorts of weird occupations the party in Quest#11 will encounter.
  12. You can get this damaged 2x4 brick I found on the street walking home from the metro one day?
  13. "Okay, let's finish this idiot. I will cast a Darkness spell from the Back Row at Bandit (axe)."
  14. "Good point! I shall cast a Darkness spell at Bandit (staff) from the Back row instead!"
  15. "Okay, two bandits, both of which are humanoids making them weak against mine or Althior's Darkness spells, so each of us should target one of them, and as Althior can deal the most damage I'd suggest that he targets the stronger bandit." "So, that being said I shall cast a Darkness spell at the Bandit (Axe) from the Back Row."
  16. "If we can take it with us that would probably be the best solution, if not I guess we'll have to come back here once/if we find the keys." "That does sound sensible though, let's head back."
  17. "Hmm, what do you say gang, should I walk over and check it out?" Namyrra patiently waits for her quest mates to react. ()
  18. I'll try to see what the large and brown something is, while still maintaining a safe distance, of course.
  19. "So, there's nothing else in the scenery that looks suspicious.. hmm." "I shall take a look at these odd sticks, from a safe distance to see if I can notice what is odd about them."
  20. "Odd sticks, eh? Should we perhaps cast a spell at them and see what happens?"
  21. "Guess it's time for Althior to dig out his magic compass again? If the compass has no opinion (again ) I think we should try right again. But let's try the compass first, right guys?"
  22. "And another battle successfully completed, seems we're on a roll. Now, I'd like to see if there are anything interesting in this area, assuming there isn't I think we could just keep following the tracks." OOC: Apart from the minor error in the damage Althior caused (it should have been 34 due to the Slug being weak against Lightning, but I guess that was just a typo?) it was all good.
  23. Sounds fine to me, might as well get the ball rolling.
  24. I'll be there! Just me, entire event, could probably be a "chalet responsible", looking forward to it!
  25. "Sigh, I really need to relax and focus more, not just throw my spells around like an overeager pre-milleniar. I shall once again cast a Wood spell at Mutant Frog B from the Back Row."
