Eurobricks Collectable LEGO Minifigures Series 5 Building Contest
Walter replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I present my entry for the contest. The Snowboarder's Cabin! Snowboarder's Cabin by Walter Boy, on Flickr. Minifigure: The Snowboarder I had a good time building this. Maybe if I can think up a good entry for catagory B I'll try and enter that too! -
Community Build: SW Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi

Sign me up please! There's a good chance I'll be doing something Rancor-related, but anything can happen at this point. -
I really hope I can participate in the next one! A scene from ROTJ would be pretty fun. And if we eventually got around to doing the prequel films in a community build, I wouldn't mind that either!

Thanks again for picking my wampa cave as a spotlighted MOC. This should give everyone incentive to build more Star Wars. I know it does for me!

Am I the only one that sees weird non-lego colors on this thing? Still, it's a marvelous creation.

Better late than never! I really like this, nice work. The only thing that really bothers me is Boba Fett's construction. Still, it's a fun scene!

Community Build: SW Episode V - Empire Strikes Back

Wow! Those tags look awesome! I never thought I could apply for one, with me being so inactive and all. As much as I love the classic tags, would it be alright if I took this one? Thanks. -

If I build my entry on a base less then 8x8, is this exceptable? If I get the time I hope to enter! Thanks! -
A really well composed scene. I love everything, although I might've done the water differently.

On the bright side, I think POTC4 was much more successful than Indy 4. -

Thanks AC for organizing this. I had a good time with this, and all the entries were really enjoyable! I hope the latecomers can submit their work soon! Looking forward to the rest of the batch. -
Old Bubba Johnson didn't understand Halloween very well, often mistaking 'trick or treaters' for trespassers. Happy Halloween everyone!

This is awesome! I love the details of it. Do you know if a minifigure could fit in the cockpit?

You totally found an effective way to illustrate that the lightsaber hilt was 'lodged' in the snow. Nice work!

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread

Does anyone know how well this theme has done financially? I'm really curious because I've been hearing things, and I don't know where the truth really lies. I'm really worried this might turn into another Prince of Perisa fiasco. -
Having gone there myself and seen it in person, I can guarantee that Miniland is the best part of the park! The details are amazing.

Love the mini snowspeeders!

Wow, and I thought those American prices were high.

These are excellent and a great addition to the community build!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, and the blog post as well! Thanks! I apologize for making a scene already made for the build. It wasn't untill I was finished that I noticed one had already been made. EDIT: Oh, and I only have the Hoth Luke because I got him off ebay. I found it would be too awkward looking if I attempted something like that. Not enough room beneath the hilt in the base of the creation. I would've had to restructure the entire build. I wouldn't say it was loosely based on shots from the film. I tried pretty hard to get the right angles going, using shots like this as a reference. I did some take liberties, yes, but I attempted to make a faithful and accurate rendition in vignette form.

Great job AC! You really got the Dagobah look and feel down well! The mixing of bley and grey on the ground really helps lend to the look of the planet.

Community Build: SW Episode V - Empire Strikes Back

Here's my contribution to the community build. Feel free to add it too the list. -
Made for the Episode V Community Build. I've attempted to create a simple scene of Luke inside the Wampa cave. I didn't include the Wampa for two reasons. The first being I don't own one, and the second being that I couldn't really fit him in if I did have him. The emphasis here is on Luke, not the wampa.

Thanks everyone! Glad you enjoyed it. I'll have at least one more Halloween creation coming before Oct. 31st, so keep an eye out.
