  1. The artist finishes up his recent portrait in his stylish apartment in Paris, France. Enjoy! -Walter
  2. Danke! The kind welcomes are most appreciated!
  3. So I was pretty disappointed when I learnt that the Lego store shouldn't have the sets for today. I called them last night, and was suprised when the employee said 'yes, we're getting them in tomorrow' So I visit the store today, and I can't find a trace of POTC sets. I'm told that the sets weren't expected to come in today, and whoever told me this was wrong. Really ticked me off.
  4. Even Davy Jone's henchman? If so then that's very cool!
  5. Welcome to EB!
  6. Welcome to the forums!
  7. Well I figure I should introduce myself. I'm Walter. I enjoy Lego, Disney, Art ,Star Wars and animated movies. Not much to it really! I haven't posted here much other than in the Classic Pirates area of the forums, mainly to showcase my recent creations. Glad I joined, as this is a nice forum. Hope I'll get to know you all a little better. -Walter
  8. Yes, the turkish prison would be an impressive build! I considered doing a 'mini' version with lighting, but it's not at the top of my list of things to build at the moment. Just noticed that was my vig! Yeah, there's nothing wrong with your own take on it. Many people have built POTC related MOCs before I have. A recent one was Too Much Caffeine's rendition. I didn't notice he had made and uploaded this untill I was uploading my vig. I was quite suprised! Or you could always do a series of vignettes/bignettes somewhat similar to what I did. Vignettes allow you to work small and quickly. They can be taken apart and put back together easily. They also are smaller on piece count!
  9. Thank you for the kind posts! And thank you, Skalldyr, for the blog post aswell!
  10. I'm hoping to visit my local Lego store on April 16th. Hopefully the POTC sets will be in stock on that day! I'm aiming on picking up atleast one or two sets.
  11. I really like that treasure chest...
  12. Thank you for all the kind comments and welcomes! I appreciate it. I'm glad you all enjoyed the vigs. And to clarify for Fives, they are red bandannas, just like Punkkid pointed out. Orange would've actually been useful if Lego produced them in that color, because one or two characters actually have orange rag wraps on the Disney attraction. Yeah, it's water, but I understand how it looks like ice. The following scene isn't as iconic as most from the attraction, but I always enjoyed it from the ride. It's one of the only 'skeleton' pirate scenes in Disney World's version.
  13. Hello all! I'm rather new here, so I figure I should introduce myself. I'm Walter. Yeah, not much to it. I recently built a series of three Pirates Of The Caribbean themed vignettes, based off the classic attraction from Disneyland and Walt Disney World. I have to say I took more inspiration from the Walt Disney World ride, as that is the only one I've ever riden. However if it weren't for Disneyland we wouldn't have Disney World or Pirates Of The Caribbean! (Plus the Disneyland version has more and it is longer) Being a fan of Disney's theme parks and a lover of the POTC films and ride, I decided to make these. They've been built for weeks. I just got around to finding the best pics and uploading them. If ye be brave or fool enough to face a pirates' curse, proceed... - Davy Jones Arghh! Where Be The Treasure? Give us the keys you scurvy lil' beast! I hope you enjoyed the vigs. Link to entire set! Cheers! -Walter
