  1. Wow that's a beautiful creation. I'm sure glad you're on nocturnus side. Great use of 45 degree angles. I also like the use of old and new dark greys.

  4. Conan the Barbarian (1982) very visually appealing, but skip the sequel
  5. Man the lord of lava keeps on getting scarier and scarier. The magic circle is inspired.
  6. Love it! It reminds me of Conan (the good Schwartzenegger one)
  7. I love the use of cloaks on the spirits and the hidden orc den.
  8. There's so much to love here! The figure choices are excelent, since they look very different, but very dark. Both character's look like they have done terrible things to survive. The genie tails in water look great. The posing in the last picture looks great.
  9. Oh! I think you just post it in the heroica forum and make sure that you signify it is for catagory A of the Nocturnus Civil War contest.
  10. This sphere is made entirely of Reddish Brown 2x4 plates. Hence the title (Mold and mart numbers from TLG) My first sphere used a combination of bricks and plates for the pentaginal hubs, and technic connections to make the struts inbetween hubs. It was very parts heavy, but also very strong. My second one looked a lot like this. On a side note, this one can be made into another spehere with 3 sided hubs. This sphere got me thinking....what if I could make a sphere with just one part type? After a large bricklink order, I found that I could, but I still didn't have enough 2x4 plates. After several visit to lego stores, I finally got a K-Box of 2x4 plates in a color that I could use for other purposes.

  14. I am siding with Lord Ssilyrrlith. Thanks for the long entry time, I'll need it.
  15. Thanks! Starro is a DC villain. Basically a giant starfish from outer space that controls people mentally. It appeared in an episode of Batman Beyond where it had gained control of the justice league by using mini starfish. My profile pic is a hammer golem named "Thunk" for Historica. Unfotunatelly you can't remove the hands from hagrid's body.
  16. Starro and Minions

  22. I've never seen a better positioned minifigure
  23. @ Clone O'Patra: Thank you! We came up with the idea for two reasons. First, we wanted something that would look at conventions or in a display box at a lego store. So we went for height. Second we wanted something anyone could participate in. By having a simple concept (32 long, 16 deep, 9 2/3 high) with an elevator in common space, we were able to all do our own thing without worrying if it was going to work together or not. Yeas, I will update it when I get some time. The second of two conventions is this weekend, but I'll make the tower photos 1st priority. @ Dr. Cogg: Yup, I didn't have many superhero figs, so I customed a couple. This also led to variety of the tower since there's a limited number of super heroes. @ The Strategist: I originally had a youtube clip, but.....anyway, In the 90s there was a superhero cartoon called the Tick. It was one of the funiest things I've ever seen. One of the villains was called Chairface Chippendale.
  24. I voted "theme Specific" because I liked the fantasy line so much. It gave us a lot of very unique builds. In most "generic" themes, we keep getting the same basic ideas. A large good guy "king's castle" a smaller bad guy castle, a catapult or two and a wagon. Maybe a joust if you're lucky. Generic themes do not have to be this way. I really liked the mill village raid, and the older castel sets also had blacksmiths, armor shops, battering rams...but I feel there is to much repetition now.
  25. Thanks for the image. I have been thinking of doing a thatched roof in yellow like that, and now I know what it looks like!
