Thanks! It's possibly a bit detail heavy but I love adding loads of references like the squib letter and the manacles. Thanks, I really like the look of your candle builds and library ideas, I wish I had a little more space to work with in the library to add another row of shelves. I'd like to be able to have another three books that can be pulled out. The Peeves from earlier is fantastic as well, the version from the Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets PC games is my favourite version of Peeves and I would love to see an extremely unlikely Peeves figure made in that likeness. I had never considered the Shakespeare attire but it works really well. I think a light aqua coloured head the same as Moaning Myrtle would be ideal but there's very little choice, the one below is not bad except for the monocle...

I guess that except from Voldemort, these are the very first Harry Potter figures released 20 years ago. Draco, Dumbledore and Hagrid are the other obvious ones as a Peeves would be unlikely.

Noticed that the logo includes the new robed Harry which is nice. Can't wait for more robed figures!

Love seeing everyone’s MOCs on here so thought I’d share one of my own. I haven’t tried uploading pictures here before and it doesn’t seem to have been too successful... but this is my minifig scale Hogwarts expansion based on the design of the microscale Hogwarts. It was tricky to adapt this to fit onto fewer plates and the wall of the divination classroom took a while to get right. The MOC includes a library based on the student accessory pack build, a trophy room and a knight that reveals a hidden secret inspired by the original 4709 Hogwarts Castle. There is also the Divination classroom and a small office for Filch in the tower. There are better photos of the build on Instagram for anyone interested www.instagram.com/andymacf10/

I like the gold figures a lot personally, 20 years is a significant landmark since the original sets and as a fortunate owner of most of those most of those sets I appreciate the nostalgia trip. I'll have to work out a way of displaying the figs - perhaps in a trophy room build. My current trophy cabinet is rather small.

The leaked pixie and orange robes for Lockhart make me think his design will be based on the DADA class scene with the gold robes. The colour they've gone for seems to be slightly off though as it was in DA so seems likely that the DADA version will be similar. Just about enough "DA"s there for a Hey Jude rendition...

You're right, I had been meaning the summer sets last year although this wasn't clear in my post. I thought the advent calendar figs were great, and frankly book exclusive Tom Riddle was perfect imo but I'm glad we're getting a new, more "ghostly" version.
-
@mini_legogo story on instagram I believe. I don't mind the small printing as it's more consistent with a minifigure sized face and think it looks quite cute. I share your enthusiasm for the new robes though, it's just great to get the main outfits for everyone.
-
The irony is that last year we had no new leg or skirt printing at all! I agree that dual moulded legs with black at the top and grey printed on the black to continue the trousers up would have been ideal. At least the skirt printing on the new McGonagall continues nicely into the torso print. Search #legoleaks on instagram, or #legoleaks2021 or #legoharrypotter. Edit: I'm (very) wrong about last year - the slug club Hermione and Luna at least had some plus Umbridge...

I'm personally much more enamoured with the 2021 summer figs than 2020 summer figs. - Hogsmeade McGonagall is good, I wouldn't be surprised if it's more accurate than we think given the access LEGO has to source material. Even if it has used a bit of creative license I much prefer the outcome to an unremarkable black shawl. - Forbidden corridor Ron/Hermione are great. I couldn't care less about shirt buttons myself, and they're clear representations of those outfits. Skirt might have been nice but honestly I always find skirt pieces a bit awkward e.g. CMF Cho/Luna. - Harry in Gryffindor robes finally is excellent. That's the main outfit of the first two films, rarely is anyone just in a jumper. On that note I hope we get the same for the other students including Justin as the moments jumpers are inaccurate to any of Justin's scenes. - Gold figures are a cute addition, there's not much I'd change at all except maybe the inclusion of Quirrell although he was the second character made by LEGO after Harry (by set number). - Hooch is great, wouldn't change anything. - Reused Sinistra face from the leak isn't ideal but just delighted to be getting the character. I'm more into the books than films personally so not too fussed about the accuracy of a figure with virtually no significant screen time. - New Riddle is a cool variation. I get that there aren't stripes on the blazer but LEGO only has so many shades of grey - the stripes are used as a differentiator for a bit of different texture and that doesn't bother me. - Pixie mould is great, think the eyes are slightly too large and angled but just chuffed to be getting these. - And now cat Hermione is perfect and we're getting the Slytherin robes again! 2020 sets were great but I had many more gripes about the figures including lack of skirt printing, reused faces everywhere (Bellatrix, Lavendar, Molly, Ginny, Hannah Abbott), odd faces (Neville's lipstick, Cho's skintone), inaccurate hair pieces (Molly, Lavendar, Tonks - although I actually like this figure), reused torsos (Ron in both Burrow and Privet Drive, Vernon).
-
I thought the same, even Ron's could be dark red tbh. But I think they're keeping them all different colours for a bit of variety (obviously Harry will be red). Great detail though and think the three will look good together.

Well impressed with these leaks. We now have a perfect teacher and casual McGonagall in my opinion, love the thistles in the design. Despite the disappointing builds which indicate a drop in quality with more panels used etc, the minifigs and creatures show that the commitment to quality is still there in some form. Hope we see Lockhart next or any of the girl's bathroom figs.
-
I like all three figs, worth noting that Ron's torso isn't exactly the moments torso as the Gryffindor badge is more of a crest than a shield. I too am really hoping we get robed students in these sets, think we will at least in the girl's bathroom set.

Well compared to hoping for new DH sets I can understand that reaction for an anniversary quidditch set. Personally surprised and disappointed by a gold Quirrell fig. I guess it's one of the first ever HP minifigs but that doesn't seem to matter when we're getting Voldemort too... I would have preferred Draco, Snape, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Hagrid, Neville, Fred/George... etc. New Quidditch set would make sense given that they're replacing the great hall set in the June wave. Think there's a high chance we get Angelina Johnson as Lego seems to be including more figures based on POC which is nice for a bit of diversity. Would it be too hopeful to suggest that a golden Quirrell might come in a Leaky Cauldron DA expansion set... (I think it would tbh!)

I mean the bell towers are featured in passing shots maybe. But they are forgettable in design, feature in no scenes, never mentioned in the books, change in appearance after the first two(?) films. The greenhouses are far more interesting and we've already had that. The astronomy tower features just about the most iconic scene in any of the films, has a very iconic design, loads of interior shots and some exterior shots focussed on the tower, plus it is mentioned plenty in the books. I agree that any interiors can be included and perhaps the bell towers could serve as a necessary exterior, I just don't expect it would be very interesting to look at/build and certainly not recognised by your casual HP fans.
-
I wouldn't worry about this to be honest. It's very unlikely that any of the changes for the anniversary sets will continue beyond the anniversary year. LEGO has been gradually filling in the gaps (including this year with new figs, scenes, etc) and they'll be well aware that we haven't had DH sets or a Gringotts yet (personally doubt they'll ever do the Bell Towers as they're basically meaningless - no known interior, repetitive build, very unknown part of the castle). We're in good hands, this year will almost certainly be a one off and I'm pretty positive about it (except the disappointing builds - Fluffy's corridor especially). This way we can get a chamber of secrets which wouldn't have been at all compatible with the modular 2018-2020 sets.
-
I think most of the objects like Horcruxes, wands, brooms would be a bit boring/repetitive to build so creatures like Dobby or Buckbeak might be more likely especially given the success of the Hedwig set and buildable Star Wars characters. The only thing that would appeal about magical objects would be if they came with new minifig scale moulds too e.g. Firebolt, Elder wand.

The 2021 anniversary sets we are aware of are based on films 1, 2 and 3 and sets that were released alongside these films (Hogwarts Castle, Chamber of secrets (inc Myrtle's bathroom), Fluffy's corridor, Slytherin common room, Shrieking shack - Honeydukes at least). Obviously the anniversary sets aren't based solely on the first ever wave so, assuming that the August wave picks up from here and consists of remakes of sets based on later films, I was wondering what we might be able to expect. - GoF: Durmstrang ship and second task are the only obvious ones here unless we got another Hungarian Horntail. - OotP: Only one set to consider, a trophy room would be unlikely although I could see an Umbridge's Office in a similar style to the girl's bathroom set. - HBP: Burrow and Diagon Alley were the only HBP sets so unlikely to get anything here except possible a Borgin and Burke's. - DH: Potential for a remake of the (imo underwhelming) DH battle set 4867. Given the hints we've been kindly given I suspect that whilst more anniversary sets are on the cards (our expectations are to be linked to the June wave and we'd surely get a gold Dumbledore if we're getting a gold Voldemort), the possible sets I've mentioned above seem a bit too "good to be true" and I feel like we're maybe more likely to get non-minifig scale sets instead.

As I recall it had a separate sticker sheet, but it was a long time ago!

This piece here, pretty simple but it was cool that it was holographic:
-
Given the mayhem has subsided a bit recently, I'm wondering what people with some of the original sets in their collection liked about them and would enjoy seeing in this anniversary wave? For instance, I fondly regard the holographic wizard cards, the remembrall and Norbert. Would be very happy to see any of them reproduced.
-
I can see it happening but I wouldn't be happy about it. The only upside would be the Hufflepuff crest to complete the set but even then it's not exactly accurate to anything. However, as I've mentioned before, the Slytherin torso from Diagon Alley is inaccurate and that must surely be with the Girl's bathroom set in mind. I think we really need a Gryffindor equivalent for Harry/Ginny in the CoS set. The robes are the typical outfit throughout the first two films, rarely is anyone wearing just a jumper. And the Third year+ robes don't look great on the short legs in my opinion so it's something that I'd really appreciate.

Bit unrelated but the new Winnie the Pooh set looks great, my wife is really interested and I think it could serve as a way of blending my HP display from the Burrow to the Forbidden Forest. The building has similar tiling to the burrow and would look like a nice little outhouse on the outskirts of the forest. Not sure my wife would be happy with me displaying the rear of the model but is just a thought for now!
-
Great suggestions, to be honest I've been really wanting Crabbe and Goyle for a while too. The minifig selection, if nothing else, in the June wave is really excellent imo.

Promobricks will know what they can and cannot share without displeasing LEGO. Those with knowledge in this forum are bound by their sources as to what they can reveal. So in both cases we've heard what we can for now, sadly! That's exciting! Where did you see this? Does make sense and seems similar to the Ninjago gardens set, I hope it's not a buildable Fawkes.
