  1. My absolute favourite set, lovely photos!
  2. That would make for an impressive display! I have to say though that I think Diagon Alley would easily be in the same league as MMV, just my opinion
  3. I've just worked my way through all 36 pages and you somehow manage to surpass yourself every page! I cannot wait to see the finished product, I think that the little cave on the cliff would be the perfect home for a bear from the new city sets Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see the rest!
  4. It really does look spectacular, a thousand more uruk-hai and it'd be perfect!
  5. Thanks for the pics sidersdd, they're great! Would it be at all possible to see some of the figures all together, I'd love to see what an orc/uruk-hai army is going to look like and a group photo of the fellowship would be awesome too!
  6. Perhaps Minas Tirith????
  7. Absolutely spot on! A wonderful job by LEGO ! The pics are great, any "interior" shots of Helm's deep and the Uruk Hai army?
  8. I'm really glad that the door in the side of the tower was included with Helm's Deep, it makes it a lot easier to reenact the movies! I still wish that Legolas was in the Helm's deep set, I mean, watching the films he is in every other scene. I suppose it's good that lego included haldir but I would've put Legolas in front of Gimli any day!
  9. Yes, I agree with you that if they release any battle packs they shouldn't contain major characters, I just reckon that if battle packs are released they will be after another wave or two . I'm just going to concentrate on getting all the new sets at the moment!
  10. From a financial point of view I don't see lego making battle packs, why let everyone collect all the figures for £10/$10 or whatever, when they can squeeze say £50/$50 out of us with a set? That's not to say I wouldn't like a battle pack!
  11. I can't wait to buy these sets now! The figs are awesome, especially legolas I don't see why anyone is fussing about gollum, I've just watched the three films back to back and he looks perfectly like himself whilst still clearly being lego. I reckon aragorn needds a black cape and gandalf could do with hair going round the back of his head (almost like gimli). However, it does say gandalf the grey so hopefully when they release gandalf the white they will have no hat and a new hairpiece ! Nice one Lego, we could do with a few images of the sets now! ps - where's the cave troll? It's down as a minifigure on the side of the box.
  12. Oh well, I don't think we had much hope anyway! Mind you we counted off Harry Potter before!
  13. To be honest, as much as I have wanted lord of the rings lego for years, based on the prelim pics I wasn't going to get any. Now though, I have to get a legolas minifig and I'm pretty sure that once I've bought one I won't be able to resist the rest! (Just wondering, is that Legolas on Helm's deep or the other one, can't remember his name?)
  14. Legolas is possibly my favourite character in anything! Awesome poster! I wasn't going to fork out for the big sets but LEGOlas(!) is convincing me somewhat!
  15. As cool as a Yule Ball Ron would be I'd prefer a completely exclusive minifigure, I hate to say it but it might be LEGO's last chance to give us someone they couldn't squeeze into a set.
  16. Slughorn, Tonks, Kingsley, Pompfrey, Cedric, Cho there's so much more for lego to do!
  17. With a piece count like that, I hope Helm's deep has a really detailed interior. I'm also hoping for a staircase behind the wall for Legolas to slide down on a shield! That's my favourite scene.
  18. Please let this be true! Even just a battle pack would be good, anything really, Harry potter has been huge for lego. They can't just let it die out!
  19. Warner Bros. has just announced a second Harry Potter theme park in LA (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/entertainmentnewsbuzz/2011/12/wizarding-world-of-harry-potter-planned-for-universal-hollywood.html) it looks like the Harry Potter vibe isn't going to die out for a while yet! Lets hope LEGO has the same idea.
  20. I don't know if this has already been brought up, but on the Lego Harry Potter: Characters of the Magical World page on Amazon the "Book Description" states that there will be an exclusive minifigure. Here's hoping for a Kingsley Shacklebolt! http://www.amazon.com/Lego-Harry-Potter-Magical-Characters/dp/0756692571/ref=sr_1_81?ie=UTF8&qid=1317319826&sr=8-81
  21. That picture is incredible! The inferi design is making me hope for that scene incarnated in a LEGO model next year!
  22. I'm ashamed to admit that i thought Harry potter sets had been discontinued, however the new designs of sirius and tonks look really promising. Also, there hhave been a few instances of new pieces released in the minifigures series and the graduate's cap looks as though it may have been included with Slughorn in mind. I've got my fingers crossed for a new wave, here's hoping for kingsley shacklebolt, tonks and slughorn!
  23. Personally, although it pains me to say it I think the Harry Potter line mat be finishing soon. But I'm hoping that with the release of the new game Lego will give the franchise a proper send off. In my opinion the ultimate goodbye would come in the form of battle packs. I think these would be the best ones: £7.99 Ministry of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt, Yaxley, Cornelius Fudge, Percy Weasley, Dolores Umbridge £7.99 Dumbledore's Army Seamus Finnigan, Dean Thomas, Luna Lovegood, Cho Chang, Neville Longbottom £7.99 Order of the Phoenix Sirius Black, Horace Slughorn, Arthur Weasley, Mad-Eye Moody, Mundungus Fletcher £7.99 Death Eaters Antonin Dolohov, Bellatrix Lestrange, Thorfinn Rowle, Lucius Malfoy, Amycus Carrow (All with masks on reverse of their faces and hoods) Anyway, that's what I think
  24. I would suggest that there is one fundamental location in the Harry Potter series that LEGO is yet to do: The Ministry of Magic. The only problem is that there isn't really an exterior. But it would be a great set based on the Deathly Hallows, it could have the atrium with a fountain in the middle overlooked by Umbridge's office and a courtroom as well. As for minifigures, I'd have to say Kingsley Shacklebolt, Yaxley, Umbridge, Percy Weasley, Harry ( I know he's in everything but I'd think this set would need him) and a Dementor. I don't think that it would have to be any bigger than 4867 Hogwarts and I reckon £50 would be fair. If not a Ministry of magic then LEGO should do something new, like an advent calendar or Battle Packs. One could be of the Order of the Phoenix with Kingsley, Tonks, Moody, a redesigned Sirius and a Mundungus another; Dumbledore's army with Cho Chang, Luna, Seamus, Dean and Neville and finally a Death Eater pack with Bellatrix, Dolohov, Yaxley, Narcissa and Thorfinn Rowle (they could all come with a mask on the other side of their face and a hood too). Anyway that is all from me, thanks for reading!
  25. Thanks for the great review! I will definitely be getting this set now. However like others I wish that Lego wouuld acknowledge the existance of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, I mean (mild spoiler here) the Ravenclaw common room plays quite a big part in the battle of hogwarts so if the empty room had some chairs and Ravenclaw decorations (very similar to the slytherin common room in 4842 Hogwarts Castle) I would be considerably happier. As for Lupin's office, I already have one from the old Lupin's Classroom set so I'm just going to use it as a staff room.
