I couldn't agree more. I love all the sets but believe some better choices could have been made. To name a couple strange choices, what use is the Umbar ship without the place it was supposed to be attacking or the black gate with out anything from the land it is a door to? I love all the sets but the logic in some of the choices baffles me.

You make a good point, having two or more sets released form a common IP isn't against the guidelines/rules. Even if LEGO decided not to make all of them, it would better are chances of getting one. I know the chances are slim but LEGO still has the license and hasn't released sets for awhile, making me believe it is possible.Agreed. LOTR is also the only one of those three that doesn't have sets being released for it. We still might be able to convince them to cash in a little on this license. The only reason it would matter is the fact they may decide not to make any more. As far as the issue of sales go, I think the line could've been handled better. If LEGO LOTR didn't sell as well as they would of hoped, I think they should of released some more of the iconic scenes to living the waves; I thought they were saving these for a third wave (e.g. Balrog and Gondor sets). Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I really enjoy looking at another's perspective.

Gondor is the land that Pelennor Fields and Minas Tirith are located in. I will think about your proposal to section off part of MT in a Pelennor Fields set.You can divide your vote as 1, 0.5(x2), 0.33 (x3) ect. Minas Tirith: 1.5 votes Battle of Pelennor Fields: 3.5 votes Osgiliath: 0 votes If you guys would like to see a set not listed, let me know and I'll add it.

Me too; I think a lot of people would like to get it, unfortunately I don't think LEGO is going to make one in the foreseeable future. Maybe we can convince Theodoric to make one. I don't think it's a dead end, I think some of us fans should get together and critique the project until we are all satisfied with it (each make a model and send them to the other builders and take the best elements from them to make the best MT possible). But that's just what I think. I have added your "vote". I don't think the gates would look that great standing alone, but I think a Mumakil is a great idea. I have added your "vote". That looks spot on! You sure do put a lot detail into your figures. I personally prefer to keep my customs looking like LEGO made them and tend to avoid adding materiel to figures that restrict there movement, but yours do look great.@Theodoric, any update?

I was under the impression that they were co-conceptualized, due to LEGO looking into the license after the LEGO Ideas project entered review; resulting in there production to benefit both. If my information was wrong, I apologize. Minas Tirith: 0.5 votes Battle of Pelennor Fields: 3.5 votes Osgiliath: 0 votes edit: added votes. (6/27/16), (6/28/16)

The Exo-suit set is my favorite followed very closely by the Doctor Who set. None of the others have really appealed to me, except for maybe the Ghostbusters and Back to the Future sets which I didn't buy.

I thought the most desired set might be Gondor-related. Makes me think of three set ideas: Minas Tirith, Battle of Pelennor Fields, or Osgiliath. Which sounds the best to you?Unfortunately LEGO Ideas doesn't allow you to suggest new molds. In the past people have used pieces that look close for a part that might need a new mold but when LEGO produces it, they make the molded part (example would be Doctor Who's hair and his sonic screwdriver). In other words, we (being the fans) can figure it out. (note the Fell Beast would have to be brick built) In addition, our friend Theodoric is also making the Witch King, so we could also just suggest a Nazgul for the set and put the Witch King on the Fell Beast instead when/if we get the set.

It is always cast in a strange light in the game, so I wasn't ever very sure which it was. I think it may be that it reflects the light and surroundings in the game more than other objects typically colored black. Thank you for answering; I really needed a second opinion.
-
I was looking at the picture of the Fell Beast I posted above and realized, I never figured out if it was black or dark gray in that game. Does anyone know which it is? I think it's black but am not sure; your answer is much appreciated.

I am currently working on a few projects, but when I finish them I would like to make another LOTR "set" for LEGO Ideas. There has been a few changes to the LEGO ideas guidelines/rules, as summed up by CM4Sci in the LEGO Ideas Disscution topic: GUIDELINES UPDATE Some important tidbits: - 3,000 piece limit - Once a LEGO Ideas set based off a property is released, no more projects on it will be accepted (which means no more BBTF, DW, GB projects) So we can only have one through ideas and I would like to know what you want to see most.
-
They could, but I think they will re-release it in some different form sooner or later. For this reason alone I would get Dimensions, I hope your right.
-
My best guess is that it is a re-release of the first starter pack with fixed bugs/faults and new artwork for "season 2". They have to have the toy pad released every year in case they get more customers drawn into the game.

Still seems to be low res unfortunately. Here's one. https://www.wired.co...-1a-Preview.jpg

I would say it's unlikely, but with around 5 battle areas in Dimensions unknown, it's possible we could see one for that.@Theodoric, have you tried printing the helm/head up-side-down face down? Sometimes keeping small details closer to the table helps. @TheBear, that picture seems kind of small to see such a detail, I'll see if I can find a better one to show what you meant. Here we go.

He looks better than I thought he would, which is saying a lot because I had very high expectations for this minifigure. So is the thing on top of the flail head for a short chain to connect to? Can't wait to see him with cloak/cape, this figure is just going to be epic. Are you pasting the image address or just the page link in the "Image" URL box provided?
-
If we get a LOTR battle area, who would be the most likely of characters to accompany such a pack (or are the battle areas just added without new packs?). I am still hoping for a playable Sauron but I could see them simply adding Aragorn.

At this point I will pay that for a LEGO Sauron, especially one that is so incredibly detailed. I would like one to be reserved as well, if possible.I have some freinds who would probably like one, or in one case possibly several as he might like to sell them at his Bricks & Minifigs store; would you like me to contact them? Would you be able to make more if you run out of the ones you have already made? You could sell/advertiser him on Bricklink under the MOCs section. There is also a "Buy, sell, trade and finds" section here on the forums, you could post there too. P.S. You only need to post one more time and then you can use the personal message system for working out methods of payment and shipment. Edit: By the way, the way to post images is to click the "Image" icon under the "smiley" and then paste the image address in the provided box. (if this isn't clear enough, I can give a step-by-step procedure; since you've done it before though, I figure this is all you might need to remember.)

He looks incredible! I am defiantly interested in one or two depending on how much he may cost. I also have some friends who might be interested, but I am not sure how many you made and don't want to disappoint people in case your Saurons are all reserved or something.

I myself am not much of a super hero fan; to each his own. However don't worry, my older sister is, so I do have a pretty good idea what you are talking about. I could see Green Lantern flying around and his vehicle shape shifting into whatever he needs, in this game. Making the Flash able to use the vehicle treadmills without a vehicle could also be interesting. Lex Luthor is a little less known to me, as is General Zod (meaning I don't have much knowledge about the characters, not that I don't know who they are). A fellow student, who is an employee of ToysRUs, told me that Disney Infinity was only going to put out a few more characters and then be done at the end of the year. This doesn't guarantee we will get any Disney content as the game is made by T&T games and WB (if I am not mistaken). If by chance we do get some Disney content, I would like to see Star Wars as well. As far as marvel vehicles go, I think there might be more to work with than there is for DC; almost every Marvel Lego set has a vehicle. I would like to see more playable villains in the game, as odd as that may sound. I mean you are constantly breaking things anyways.

I bought the LEGO ideas set and redesigned the Daleks. I think mine looks better than LEGO's but still doesn't quite come off as perfect (though I do not think it is possible to build a perfect Dalek with existing bricks).http://www.us.lego.com/en-us/gallery/21c228d7-9724-48aa-a15c-19b617087ece?index=22&categoryId=64929898-c52f-49d8-b106-c0c36314093c&searchword=dalek Some of the pieces used in this file do not come in the colors shown.

That is really cool, the fact that you don't have to worry about peeling stickers is very appealing. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
RAKRONDEWL replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The "Rogue" will work perfectly for LOTR rangers, will be getting multiples. -
I don't actially have the game, but I have bought some of the fun packs. That said, here is list of characters I would like to see in the game (and if they did make them, I might consider getting the game). 1. Sauron - Having the lord of the rings himself as a playable character would be, for a lack of better words, awesome. I could see him having the big transformation ability, spinjitzu (as demonstrated in the boss fight in the level Painting the Town Black, and the mind control ability. As a "vehicle", I could see the tower of Barad-Dur gliding along on its lava moat and when mounted the eye used to burn through gold and it illuminates dark areas with the eye. 2. The Witch-King - He would probably have the sonar smash ability, tracking ability, and the super strength ability (or the grapple ability with his giant flail). As his "vehicle", he would have a Fell Beast that when mounted can use the flight ability. 3. Faramir - He would have the target ability, tracking ability, and finally the stealth ability. His "vehicle" would be? 4. Eowyn - She would have the pole vault, invulnerability, and acrobatics abilities. Her "vehicle" would be? 5. Lord Vortech - He would have the big transformation, invulnerability, and relic detection abilities. His "vehicle" would be floating 4x4 green plate that can regenerate health and has the special attack ability. These are just some of the characters from the current licenses I would like to see. So if LEGO makes some of these, I may consider buying the game. Not having the game, I don't really know how reasonable the power selections I made are.
