We fight in the back row as we start with hardly any health - that's the trade off - we get to fling powerful spells with the balance of being extremely vulnerable. This was discussed at the very start of Heroica. It auto-nerfs my Special - I get to give half as much damage in from the physical portion because I'm hardly likely to always stand in the front row for the 1 in 6 chance I might roll a Shield. This is the balance, we already have it.

Nyx stares a bit as the massive ogre is brought down; something she never thought she'd see. Her stare turns to a glare as she fixes her eyes on Slim. She simply glares, but it is still ferocious. She silently casts Darkness magic on Slim [Metasimian (Halberd)] through her book from the back row.

Ah, but Nyx and Atramor have been serial Questmates for aaaaages now. I think it's obvious it's all just teasing and that she actually kinda likes him.

Nyx adopts a faux-hurt look as she addresses Atramor. "It's not like I set you on fire Atters. At least not for a while. " She winks and grins, knowing the witch knew she was just being playful. "Hey Ellaria, I've got Scim covered, thanks to your healing, if you'd rather go after another target?"

It's just the qualities that Atramor brings out in other people. And it worked didn't it?

" Nyx stands straighter, thanks to the healing, and focuses once more on whittling down the health of the strongest Metasimian. She summons her Darkness magic through her Book and aims it at Scim [Metasimian (Scimitar and Shield)] from the back row. OoC: Happy Birthday from me too!

MOCs based on Video Games and Military belong in Special Themes, however this has a strong Sci-Fi element to it also. At the author's request, I've moved this to Sci-Fi.

Carly, I find a number of inconsistencies in your statements, many of which have already been highlighted, so I won't repeat them, but additionally I notice this: You spoke a total of 11 times yesterday. I reviewed them all. The first few occasions were idle, fluffy, chitter-chatter speeches, but your later orations were a mix of strongly defending Petey (and we've already covered how amazing it is that you were able to get such a town read on him) and arguing with Portia over her vote for Wallace. So, to me, you were either focusing not only on Petey but also what other people were doing, such as Portia and her voting habits (and thus actually paying attention to more than just Petey), or you considered Portia and her voting habits to be part of the whole debate about Petey. If that's the case then, as those were pretty much the only two discussions, that implies you were paying attention to the whole debate in its entirety. Either way, you were paying attention. And now you say you were not. Which is lying, and I'm sure you'd be the first to tell us that there's no need for a townie to lie. Nyx looks across at the Ogre Skrall, both of them panting in their exertions in the fight. "I only say this as a suggestion Larry, but you and Rufles could take free hits if Skrall and I sit out this round; you and Atramor could still act, and Rufles and Ellaria can once again focus on their healing. I have confidence their gods will aid them, but I really hope they'll aid them soon."

As a side note, I may have said: However, I do think analysing and speculating over last night's event is useful. As a result of that discussion and debate we get to hear various people's theories and opinions, and that is useful in forming our own opinions, especially as it's unlikely that we will have witnesses coming forward at this early stage. For instance we heard of Ernie's theory about Wallace being caught in a paranoid bear trap, and while I don't believe that is what happened, these theories are interesting nonetheless. Nyx doesn't even register the pain as she watches in horror as a fool of a Metasimian stands on Edgar, sending him back whence he came. He had evidently been about to respond to Ellaria, and had seemed in high spirits, but he'd have to reply to her the next time he drops by. Nyx's face darkens, determination and fury building, and she adopts a fearsome battlestance. "You will pay for stepping on Edgar! You will all pay!" She once more channels her emotions as Darkness magic through her Book at Louie [Metasimian (Flail)] from the back row.

I must say I'm surprised about Petey; I was expecting to have a long look at Seamus today, given my suspicions, but that doesn't seem warranted right now. I'm not saying that clears Seamus, but my suspicions have reduced. And so much for the bunny conspiracy, although again that doesn't necessarily clear Bridget or Ralphy. Bristol does seem like an odd choice to me for a culty kill, but then the aim of the cultists is to sew confusion and doubt. That said, an axe through the head isn't exactly 'ritual sacrifice' and as has been pointed out already, there was a lack of immolation. The firey fox was spotted overnight - perhaps 'approving' of the kills? The multitude of possibilites for the apparent lack of culty kill have already been stated, but I do fear a delayed-action kill. Well done to whoever done-in Wallace, that shows remarkable perspicacity, as it does seem to me to have been deliberated targeted at him, rather than some sort of reflexive action. The vials from Firus also crossed my mind as a possibility, however, given that there's such a large group, surely there would have been multiple people choosing the same vial? Or maybe after choosing the correct vial there was another trial from which there was only one person selected? It's difficult to speculate on what god may have done in his infinite insanity, and picking up patterns will unfortunately only be possible after a second night. In the meantime, it sounds like there are some leads to follow from the unseen events of last night, so if furries have found furries to trust, please do make sure you can trust them. Edgar once more pops into existence and begins snarling and gnashing in a small and squeaky way at the seemingly massive Metasimians in front of him. He turns to Nyx to take his orders and notices her companions. He skirts warily and respectfully round the very large ogre who kindly and carefully didn't step on him in Dastan, stopping and almost nodding at both Rufindel and Atramor, scuttling over to Ellaria - for whom he displays a little eight legged dance, presumably due to Ellaria's strong connection with nature - before stopping before Boomingham. Quick as a trice, he climbs up Boomingham's armour, eventually resting on his nose and staring a many-eyed stare right into Boomingham's eyes before making a tiny squeaky grunt and bungee jumping off the top of his head. "Edgar!" squeaks Nyx with delight "Ellaria, Larry, I don't think you've met my little spider. He lives in my book, or I think he lives in an alternate dimension in the book and I somehow open a portal to his kingdom when I get my magics right. Anyway, he's now my bestest little spider and a fierce and ferocious fighter. Please don't step on him, he's here to help. Edgar, please would you turn your attention to Scim [Metasimian (Scimitar and Shield)] and do some bitey things at him from the front row? That way there will be no free hits for anyone to worry about. Now, I think it might just be time to try out my new staff. " Nyx takes out her Explosive Staff, smoothing it in her hands briefly with a slight faraway look. She then gives it a twirl and spins to face all the Metasimians, focusing on Slim [Metasimian (Halberd)] and charging up Darkness magic once more, from the back row. "Let's see what this baby can do, although I should know better than to fully trust anything of his. " she mutters to herself as she concentrates.

"Oh Slim, I'm not going anywhere, not until you drop that handy-looking Monkey Bar and lie motionless in an expanding pool of your own blood. Do you tango?" Nyx digs deep to try to keep up her good fortune, and once more casts Darkness magic on Metasimian (Halberd) from the back row.
