Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Six
Pandora replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
First of all, Casey, or whatever your name is, thank you for quoting my entire side of the conversation. You have managed to say more today than in the rest of this ordeal put together. As to your many "legal" references; I doubt you would recognise the inside of a courtroom if it came up and bit you on the arse. I know you (the group) have sealed my fate, but let me address some gaping flaws in your "logic" Well, that's working on the assumption that there's only one remaining scum, and that that one remaining scum is me. You have, in your complacency, completely failed to consider any other possibilities. What an insightful comment. I also voted for one Mafia goon (Dreo) and had repeatedly expressed my intention to vote for both Danielle and Erin, however, I spoke to Colette about this (extensively) but either she didn't pass this on, or you weren't paying attention. And, wow, such hubris. I'm pretty sure I made it clear that this is the only conclusion I can draw from Bridget's wild accusations against me. So that would be since first thing this morning, when she made these wild accusations against me. Do try to keep up. And here you just seem to be missing the fundamental basis of this ordeal. But perhaps that's because you don't understand, because you've been playing baseball the entire time. I've done more to help this town than you have. Bridget, Colette, Vanya, - I know you've made your choices, and Bridget has made some well reasoned arguments. The die is cast, so I will await my fate at the hands of Mr Crusoe. I hear he's very good with his hands. I might cry a little, but then my make-up will run and I'll look even more like a Panda. And Colette didn't even have a last meltdown. I was so looking forward to that. -
Beautiful. My first thought was of Sicily, which just shows you have the feel of the MOC just right. Great details, great build. Thank you for sharing with us.

Well, look at this way, Vanya, if I'm 100% certain I'm not scum, then Bridget is the most logical target for me to "bash" considering she's the one coming out with this rubbish. Are you absolutely sure that your second hand version isn't a lie, because my life depends on it. Actually, you can. You can lynch someone who really is scum. A few musings for you all: Don't you think it's just a little convenient that Bridget should so loudly proclaim to be the Cop today? "But she investigated me and told me I was innocent" I hear you cry - yes she told you what you, and she, already knew. "But she told lots of other people, through Colette, I'm innocent" - well, yes, what better way to form a little group that will follow her every whim and vote for everybody she (or they) chooses? They (Bridget and Colette) formed their "alliance" so very early in this ordeal, it's almost as if they knew each other's alignment right from the start; and the dissenters have been picked off easily, one by one. That is assuming they are in on this together, maybe Colette is just so very trusting she's been used by Bridget all along? Colette, who has been so very outspoken, and asked, nay dared, the scum to kill her is still here, still breathing when so many have fallen by the wayside? Is that because she's scum too, or because she's been so helpful to Bridget? Moreover, what better way to "prove" her/their investigation, than to kill someone who she/they had previously found "innocent"? Someone like poor Siegmund, who had also been a dissenter? I fear for us all, that we didn't notice it sooner. The real Cop? Well it's not me; I wouldn't make such an outrageous claim. I fear they may be long dead, buried under the pile of corpses these two (three?) have been working to amass. I'm sure little messages are flying around in attempts to verify Bridget, but really, aside from being blasphemous, are "epiphanies from God" that difficult to fake, if like her, you know the "code" of God's word? And wouldn't that be an easy thing to do, to claim Cop, when you have everyone talking to you and nobody revealing an investigation result to you? So why me and why now? Maybe she/they feel it's time to make a run for the end? Maybe they can see that end in sight and don't want an independent thinker coming along and messing it all up for them. After all, with a lynching today and a kill tonight, our numbers will be very low indeed. And maybe, after such a successful run of "investigations" she/they thought the time was right to start "finding someone guilty"; after all, we're running out of suspects. Let's face it, if Bridget hadn't "revealed" her "investigation result", none of you true townies would have believed this base accusation could be remotely true. So while you think about that, I'm going to make myself my favourite cocktail and wait for the excuses to roll in. Unless Kylan has any better ideas on how to pass the time...? -

Oh, really? And I am 100% certain that I'm not and that I shouldn't be. I've never heard such poppycock in all my life. -

Awww, people praise Hinck (rightfully) and he just keeps blushing. Who knew he was so modest? -
Lovely intro unbornchikken, I wish you many hours of happiness with your rekindled LEGO hobby, be that with your children or MOCing, and I look forward to seeing more of your MOCs. Never mind about being a Man U fan; I'm sure there's a cure somewhere!

Congratulations to the winners! I really enjoyed seeing all of the entries, and there was great creativity and ingenuity throughout the thread. Once again, thank you CopMike for organising all this and thanks EB, too!

That's a great MOC of a bedroom on its own, but with the appearance of the monster.... that's great! Love the video, I really thought the monster would be revealed as the Cookie Monster! And the mechanism works really nicely, too. Great job

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Five
Pandora replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
As I haven't heard anything from anybody, all I can assume is that people are talking to each other and examining what they have heard so far. If that is the case, please do look through all the things I've said and done, and you will see I have only ever acted with the town's best interests at heart. I want us to make the right choice today, too, but I respect that some of you want to discuss it amongst yourselves and I wait to hear what you have to say either in private, or publicly. -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Five
Pandora replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wow, two scum fewer since yesterday, that's better than I hoped for, but I shall miss poor Cruz. I am especially sleepy these days, necessitating long naps; work jet-lag has messed with my body-clock and I have limited opportunities for conversation. I had confirmed my intention to vote with the group (whichever target was chosen) whilst it was still undecided who we planned to vote for, but I did not have the opportunity to do so as the vote was sealed before I could speak up and Mr Crusoe was remarkably efficient at closing the voting. I would like to point out that I also voted for Dreo, who was confirmed scum just like Danielle, and that throughout this ordeal I have been calling on everyone to vote and join together to reach a majority. I'm sleepy again and feel another long nap coming on; even though in my head it is the weekend. If you would like me to explain more, then please have a private word with me so I may explain in words that will not anger God. -
Really nice MOC, it's a clever idea to use gems as disco lights and the turntables are very nicely done. It makes a great scene, thanks

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Four
Pandora replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
My hero! I'll happily dance for you Kylan As to our discussion, Colette is aware of my opinions of the two. It seems Danielle is fighting hard for her life, and there were other people who could have joined us in the vote, but didn't. I'm surprised that Bridget voted so late, however it is easy to forget the passage of time in the sunshine (despite crazed Mafia scum trying to kill us in our beds), however, let me be clear, I am not saying I find Bridget suspicious for this. Geert, on the other hand seems to think that only Siegmund finds him suspicious, but that is not so. I am wondering why, of all of us, you decided so early in the day that you were unwilling to vote. At the end of the day, just as we reached a conviction you said: "Yet another person going to be killed..." Unfortunately you don't seem to realise that unless we catch the scum (by voting and thus lynching) we will all be killed. We may have been lucky so far (not lucky enough for poor Claudia, I miss her ) but that is the end-point if we don't catch the scum first. -

Pandora replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
We lynched a scum! And none of us died! I might have to do a little dance! Now we're getting somewhere, and we already have suspects for today. I'm glad to hear Siegfried has been cleared, and I am sorry for doubting you. While I agree with the direction of this discussion, I'd also like to hear from those who were so unconcerned that they didn't feel the need to vote at all. I see Geert is in the process of defending his stance on this. Will we hear from Casey, and possibly Erin? We must keep this momentum going! -
There's just something irresistible to me about boxes and containers. And the best bit is opening them! Thanks for the raffle CopMike!

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Three
Pandora replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I've had a little nap, my head is clearer, and I've thought about the situation. To me both Siegmund and Dreo seem suspicious and likely scum, and they've both had the opportunity to defend themselves. This isn't really a situation of either/or for me but rather: which one first. They do not have conflicting stories, it is not a case of believing one over the other, but both, independently, have raised my suspicions. I have said before, voting for a conviction is a powerful tool that we as a town should employ; time is ticking away and there is a split in opinion as to whom to vote for. Therefore I Vote: Dreo Jacmel (dr jones) -

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Three
Pandora replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
We seem to be going off in different directions and exploring various possibilities. Most people have voted with a desire for clarification, and I am witholding my vote for now until people have had a chance to defend themselves further as the pressure is already on them. At the moment, though, of the four voted for so far, I am inclined to agree with my firey Scandinavian hunk, in that consistently over the last two days Siegmund has not really said much except waffle. And quite a bit of waffle at that, peppered with winks and smileys. Siegmund has stated that's just the way he talks, but honestly Siegmund, it is't helping us. Neither is your constant flitting from one focus of attention for suspicion to another. Are you keen to divert attention away from anyone but yourself? With regards to Dreo, it appears to me that he was unsure of his vote and wanted to hear what Raquel had to say, and not being convinced he re-voted for her. Why bother unvoting if he wanted Raquel convicted? However, his vote was the convicting vote, and Colette has compiled a "town" view of his insubstantial posting. Was he just trying to remain hidden in the moray of votes and unvotes occurring? As to the other people with votes behind them, well if I'm note sure about the people making those votes, I'm even less sure about the votes themselves. So at the moment I'm not sure where to place my vote as I want to convict the most likely scum. Dividing our votes over many people will not help us, however if you have a good reason for voting for someone then do so and explain your reasons to the rest of us. -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day Three
Pandora replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Colette, I agree that we should all be asking each other questions, and I would like to answer that, and raise some of my thoughts. I voted for poor Raquel for the reasons I outlined when I first voted; because she admitted to lying to us and I really couldn't believe that one of us would do that after seeing what happened to poor Ravi. This was after requesting a couple of times for her to clarify if she had lied. Which she didn't do, unfortunately, so I voted in the hopes of pressuring her for more information. Still nothing convincing was forthcoming, whilst other people were continuing to place their votes, until near the end of the day when I had retired for my nap. I saw her note at around the same time as the conviction was reached, and it certainly made me think, however I would not have unvoted her at that stage if I had been able to as I still believed her to be scum. I found out this morning I was wrong, but I stand by my vote. Supplying misinformation will only confuse us more and allow the scum to hide away. Discussion is all well and good, and I positively encourage it, but it means nothing if we are not willing to act on our beliefs. I voted, and I voted first; however I did so for my own reasons, as stated, but I did not call for people to join me, not try to sway people in any way. We each have to take responsibility for our own vote, whether that be yesterday, today or tomorrow (if we live that long ) The only way we can root out scum is by lynching; the scum can pick us off one by one as they have threatened, and if we don't act, we don't have a clue who the scum are. We could try to believe we are all shiny happy people, but still one of us will die, night by night, and I am afraid for my life. I'm surprised more people aren't. I'm going to meditate some more as the death of my friend has messed up my chakras, and I feel decidedly out of balance -

Claudia! No!! She was my friend! And Raquel, I wish you had sent out your notes sooner, rather than leaving them on our pillows with the little chocolate mints Please people, no more lying, it allows the scum to confuse us and turn on each other. This is too much to deal with. Dreo, I'm gonna need a drink, and I don't care what, just make it a double. -

Thanks KartoffelViking! After such a nice vignette and story, plus all the added information, I'm very glad you won the raffle (but still a little jealous! ) -
There is not a hotel on site for Legoland Windsor. Looking around the cheapest and closest is probably the Holiday Inn in Slough, but it's in Slough which is not renowned for being a fun place to be. (I might be wrong) Alternatively, as Bonaparte has suggested, there are lots of "Bed and Breakfast"s and I think even hostels. I found this handy website which may help as it covers all different types of accommodation in the area. If you're planning to meet up in the evenings then Windsor town centre would probably be best for pubs/bars/restaurants, and there should be enough places around for everyone to find a place to stay nearby, but the hotels will tend to be a little more expensive. Plus, if you're interested in it, the Castle's in the middle of the town. Legoland's a bit out of town so wherever you stay, you'll probably also need to think about transport (British public transport is notoriously unreliable) however, it sounds as though some people have cars. Maybe a consensus view of whereabouts you all want to be and then book one's own accommodation accordingly? Hope this helps.
