  1. Another lovely build, great work with adding to the flower/plant info for us all
  2. In one of the many gathering-places in Mophet, Ma'Zarie is selling some of his crops as part of the Mophet city guard rush to quell some unrest...On one of the balconies, the local fortune teller/con artist Eira'fa, is smiling with her usual smug look... More Mophet, haha! Had som fun designing the window on the tower for this one, hope you guys like it!
  3. Hahaha, yeah that took some trying... . Thanks again man! Thank you very much! Thanks, I was hoping the layers would add a little extra Haha, thanks a lot man! Fun to do some microscale every now and then. Much appreciated, thank you! Thanks! Yeah I tried a few different looks for the water but the scale does make it a bit tricky
  4. Haha, very much appreciated man! It was fun to try and create something using such a limited amount of colours (especially since I decided on the window-look pretty early which left me with one colour...haha!). Gotta love arches, right Thanks a lot! Very glad you liked the mosaic! Thanks again, haha! Glad you liked the green as I thought it worked pretty well with the white, cheers! Thank you very much! Thanks! Very glad you liked the window especially Haha, thanks a lot man!
  5. Thank you very much! I was a little concerned about the salmon as well but tried to keep it sort of subtle. Cheers!
  6. One of the more serene places in the otherwise busy streets of Mophet, the Ab'Yad temple offers calm for all those who seek it. So this is my second entry to the summer joust, this time in the tri-color category. A lot of arches...
  7. Outside the southern coast of Kaliphlin, on the mythical island of Mubarazat Al-Sayf, the temple of Ya'Hum towers towards the sky... My entry to the 12x12 category for summer joust. The idea of using the wheel piece over the doorway of one of the buildings is insipred by an old build by SimonNH.
  8. Thanks a lot everyone! Very glad you liked it. Been on a bit of a roll lately with my Mophet builds so very happy people seem to appreciate them!
  9. Nicely done man. Clean architecture with some interesting texture and very nice colourscheme. Well done!
  10. Hahaha! Love this . Great colours overall and those olive green plants in the back work great
  11. NIce work buddy, glad Z's journey took him to Mophet . This should be fun!
  12. Welcome dude, glad I could lure you in
  13. At the residence of Qa'Yid, one of the more wealthy inhabitants of Mophet, all is not well... Qa'Yids work as a ship captain keeps him away from home quite a bit, and as a result of this, his wife has started showing a little too much interest in the pool-boy... Yet another addition to Mophet, more will follow . And a big thank you to everyone that commented on my previous posts, really appreciate it!
  14. Thanks dude! Mophet is located between Barqa and Petrea, along the oil road. It appears on some of the old maps i Kali .
  15. Thank you very much man! I really need to get myself a new computer...I tried to brighten it a bit on my Flickr feed since I agree it came out a bit dark, glad you liked it though! Thanks a lot! Haha, yeah I went from 0 goats to 5 pretty quickly (although 2 of them are actually promised to @Zilmrud). Thank you man, very glad to hear! Was a fun experiment to mix those two architectural styles so glad you liked it!
  16. Thank you very much! Thanks a lot! Thank you! Cheers man, not easy to find another dome in that colour unfortunately, would love to have some though Thanks buddy! Na'zal does have a few maps in there, haha! Thanks a lot, glad you liked it! Thank you very much! Thanks man! Much appreciated, thank you! Glad to hear man, thank you! Haha, thanks! Thanks a lot!
  17. Glad to hear man, Kali for the win!
  18. Some really nice texturing there dude, very well done. The colourscheme and overall composition is very nicely done as well, great work!
  19. Kaliphlin is more than just a desert wasteland, there are pleny of regions where the Arkbri provides the land with enough water to flourish. One such place is the temple of Aiz-Tik. It is located north-west of Mophet and one of Tabib's oldest friends resides there. For generations, people from the different local tribes have made the journey there for guidance and advice. The high priestess is well respected by almost everyone in Kaliphlin and she has been an important ally to Mophet. With this in mind, Tabib felt it was important to visit her and ger her blessing regarding the expansion that had been taking place recently. To ensure safe passage from Mophet to the Arkbri, her approval was essential. So this is another Kali-build I did a while back and finally got around to posting. It is one of my biggest builds to date and measures 64x96 studs. I actually thought this one through a bit and built it in sections for "easy" transport (the foliage is toast no matter what...). I wanted to try and mix mesoamerican architecture with some middle eastern elements, hope you guys like it!
  20. On the outskirts of Mophet, Na'zal is tending to his goats and ostriches. As the trade route between the city and the Arkbri river had been established, his otherwise solitary existence had been disturbed more than he appreciated...It did however present some opportunity for extra income, as many of the travelers needed a place to rest and eat on their way to the new port. "I guess you have to make the best of the current situation" Na'zal muttered as he went to about his business. So this is yet another addition to my growing city of Mophet in Kaliphlin. The build actually started with the green dome which I was able to find from a seller at Skaerbaek last year. Hope you like it, thanks for looking :)
  21. @jtooker welcome to Kali, where the fun never stops . Great to see some more builds in this region as it’s been slim pickins lately
  22. Thanks a lot buddy! Yup, more water is coming (even from us sand-folks...) Thank you! Glad you noticed the difference in vegetation as that was something I tried to illustrate. The trunk of the lasso-tree is just meant to have some structure, but I guess vines sort of makes sense given the look Thanks a lot dude! Haha, you know how the desert people love them some danger
  23. Lovely work, great colours and a very nice balance overall. Keep it up!
  24. Thanks a lot man, appreciate it! Tried a few different looks for the riverbank and got some good feedback from @Gideon among others. Glad you liked it!
  25. As a result of the newly established trade-routes from Mophet to the Arkbri river and the settlement that had sprouted up as a result, relationships between Mophet and Barqa had been strengthened. More and more people had been able to find work and it wasn't unusual to see caravans, both large and small, travel along the river. Two of the merchants on a journey this day were Jam'al and Al-Kuhul. They made a living transporting grains and spices from Mophet to the port for further transport. Jamal was the more responsible of the two, while Al-Kuhul always seemed to spend his earnings on some of the fine wine that Barqa supplied... So this was another experimentation with water, figured it would be fun to show a bit more of the famous Arkbri river. Hope you like it, thanks for looking!
