Yes, lots of bricks get lost in the conversion, that's why I didn't make interior shots of the station with pov-ray, and as for those outside shots i first took pictures with pov-ray and examined those pictures to see what pieces didn't make it and then i replaced them in ldd with bricks i knew that would work (but i replaced them only for the purpose of making those screenshots) and rendered it again in pov-ray. Most of the bricks that are on the outside of the station are basic bricks that work so i didn't have a lots of holes to fill up (but if you look closely you'll see that, for example, there's no doors). What i would recommend you is to download the latest ldraw.xml file from Gallaghers Art forum and with it replace the ldraw.xml file you already have in your ldd installation folder. http://gallaghersart.com/forums/viewthread/4/ The man is still working on that conversion file and you can see the progress (and which bricks work, and which bricks get lost in the conversion) on that forum. Hope this will help you you.

Two more LDD MOCs from me: Train Station by omerai LXF And a little medieval village for my castle Cold: Village Cold by omerai LXF

Here are some pictures on how the station in my home town looks like: It's very similar but not the same. It's wider than what i made (it has two more "buildings" on the sides). I've changed some details like the roofs of the end buildings, and the whole back side architecture, added entrances on the end buildings. I've made the interior and using my imagination. It's not based on the real thing, although there is a restourant and a caffe on the left side in real life.

Thanks again people! I'm very happy with how this creation turned out, both architecturally and in interior design, as i have never build something like this before. I've made a few more shots in ldd: Back side of the station (the tacks are too high but that will be changed if and when i make a little landscape around it) Caffe Main hall Main hall

Superb interior design Myko! And some great photography you did there. The battle and the whole creation look very live and inspiring. Nice job, and thanks for sharing this little piece of art.

Wow. Another beautiful moc from you, Sirens. Very, very inspiring. The story is interesting as well as Kaloyan character, but the scenes are jawdropping. Such a great design, both with the architecture and with the interior. The floor mosaics that depict 4 elements look very good and the fifth element that looks like a demon face is a cool addition. That green effect on the last picture really brings up the atmosphere for a story cliffhanger.

This is an incredible layout. Just wow!

[KEY TOPIC] Wanted bricks in LDD
The Undo replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Since in the latest update LEGO gave us many old pieces (like old hinges and windscreens), only thing that's missing for me, and that I really want, are these two windscreens: Windscreen 10 x 4 x 2 & 1/3 Canopy (2507) Windscreen 6 x 4 x 2 Canopy (4474) -
Thanks guys for your appreciation. Screenshots are made with program called POV-Ray which is used for making high quality 3D renderings. This program is not compatible with LDD, but is compatible with LDraw files. So The first thing that was needed is to instal LDraw and convert .lxf file into .ldr file. This is done through the file ldraw.xml which is still being worked on so it's not perfect (some bricks are lost in the conversion between lxf and ldr). Next thing is to convert .ldr file into pov-ray file via program called L3P, and than voila, with one click in POV-Ray the rendering begins. It is a little complex process with installing all this programs, and if you're interested I'll send you links and explain everything in detail via PM.

Thank you for your comments. @ cimddwc You are correct. The plates wouldn't be a problem. I used them to cut down the pieces, but if this would be built for real I would use 1x2 bricks for walls to make them look more realistic. The bigger problem would be with tiles, but maybe some time in the future lego will produce nougat tiles. But than again, I'll probably never build this for real. @ lightningtiger Yes, the architectural look is mostly based on the station in my home town. Here's one more picture of how the rear side of the station looks without that black construction:

Thanks Big Cam. I don't plan on bricking it in the near future. I don't own much lego myself and currently don't have that much money to spend. But who knows what the future will bring, and it really would be nice to see this in real bricks.

Wow! What a collection you have Artanis I, and imagination aswell. Impressive!

So beautiful and well designed lighthouse pabloglez. Everything is said before my post so i don't really have anything to add accept my admiration.

I'm not wery good with words, but i want to show my admiration for this creation. Truly breathtaking as the LOTR trilogy itself.

Thank you all for your comments.

B-T-1C Hi everyone. I usually build medieval and pirate stuff, but this time i decided to do something different. This train station is inspired by train station in my hometown, and also one of the reasons i decided to build a station is that, as a kid, I always wanted to have that yellow train station lego set. Here are some pictures I've made with POV-Ray: And the LXF file: Train-Station.lxf (It has about 7500 pieces so some people might have problem opening it if they have slower computer) The building has interiors, as can be seen from the last picture (partly), which can be seen by removing the roofs with "connected selection tool" (because roofs and the upper floor of the central building are stand-alone modules). There is a bank on the right, and a caffe on the left of the main building. The three things that this creation lacks, and which I intend to do in the future is to add interior on the upper floor of the main building (and add a staircase), populate the station, and make landscape around it. Hope you people like it.

Beautiful castle de Gothia! I love the entrance with a bridge, and the inner side of the castle also looks cool. A very live creation!

It's looking great, as all of your creations. Very dark and mysterious, with many cool details. Can't wait to see this finished.

Thank you for your reply Abu Dun. I'm now thinking of merging those two creations when i get a new computer. I'll need to do some more landscaping. I also had in mind, for some time now, to do a little restauration on the castle. Nothing big, just to tile up some studs, and wrap up interiors a little because some parts in the palace look rough and unfinished. EDIT: I've already started with the adaptation of my castle. I've tiled up walls, towers and the palace, crown of the walls has now 2x2 instead 1x2 bricks, which added up a volume, so now the whole creation looks much better. I've also changed some minor details. This "tiling" job added 1000+ bricks to the castle, but it's far from over. I intend to make a small landscape around the castle, i'll also need to work on those dark gray rocks, and adapt the interior of the palace, and for all this i'll probably need to wait till i get a new machine but i'll try to pull off what i can with the current comp i have. Here's a pic of the castle with tiles:

Wow! Very nice pirate outpost. The house, pier and those rope bridges look great. Realy amazing, and as teabox said; inspirational!

Beautifully shaped and designed ship with lots of nice details that make this moc so amazing and realistic. You truly are a moc expert, or i would say moc master.

MOC: Into Nayeli
The Undo replied to alienwar9's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I admire your creativity and patience alienwar. This layout is spectacular. So much great details in the forest and nayeli structure. That shoot down ship is a great feature too, as well as positioning of the attacking ships. And the positioning is one of the advantages ldd has over the real brick built mocs. And what's also great about ldd is that you can see the moc first hand, and not only from pictures. But in this case i'm afraid to open any of this files as i think my computer would crashed. Once again, you have created an amazing layout! -
MOC: Mudguard Serpent

Wow! Cool ship. You really know how to make all those tiny details that make a model so real and live. A very nice design indeed! -
You've made a nice castle kermit! I love all those arches on the walls and cool interior behind them.

I like your farm Bricksandparts. Especially the grain field detail and that cool fencing tecnique. And thats a big project you're working on, so it will be cool to see the progress. Question: will you be making all of this in one file or separatly the town, castle, farm etc.?
