  1. Beautiful car!! Well done
  2. Thanks Alasdair
  3. Thanks Rob and BrickJagger
  4. The box for Merc Arocs was massive... the biggest box I have seen yet... even bigger than the Star Wars sand crawler. The box for the BWE is probably going to be even bigger. I think I'll have to clear out the spare room to keep the set when it arrives
  5. I would totally buy this as a flagship set... (I'm not sure if Lego ever got a Caterpillar brand license for any past sets) How many parts did you use for this version and what manual/powered functions do these have?
  6. I wish I had been bitten by the technic bug in the days when the crane truck MK2 - 42009, excavator - 8043 and unimog - 8110 were in production. Then I wouldn't have had to pay a premium on account of the sets being retired and could have had all of them side by side with their successors! Already paid extra for the first 2, now looking at the prospect of a £65 premium for a Unimog Is it worth that much more for the pleasure of having it alongside the Arocs?
  7. Oh also thought I'd ask... One of the recently retired sets I had my beady eye on was the Unimog and I was monitoring used prices on ebay. However I have bought the Arocs set and read some posts that Arocs supersedes the Unimog in terms of complexity, functions etc. Now that I have 42043, should I still have 8110 in my list of sets to acquire? Keep in mind that prices will only go up so the longer I keep it pending, the more it will cost me.
  8. Hi, I have just picked up a bunch of current and recent Technics sets (at face value and recently retired older sets at a premium). I noticed the upcoming 2016 sets and am lusting after all of them. Which of these should I get ahead of others? 42053 43054 43055 43056 I wish I could get them all, but finances will probably prohibit it
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks Andy :)
  10. Phew, read the whole discussion, all 44 pages as a guest and even created my own account so I could comment on this thread! I have to say I am super excited about this set! I will get it regardless of colour, but would prefer the Lava Orange to others. Having said that, I also think the swirly design looks cool too. But over the 44 pages the coolness has started to wear off slightly I think that some sort of PF in the set would be nice. I agree with others that if the main drive function isn't what's powered, other things would be slightly lame. I hope the car comes with some cool functions like suspension adjustment and adjustable spoiler (either powered or manual). I saw this MOCed Bugatti Veyron on youtube which had these things and they looked super cool! While the real life car probably doesn't have these features, it would be cool to get them in an official Lego super car anyway!
  11. Hello fellow AFsOL! My name is Rutwij and I live in beautiful Scotland! I'm a very recent AFOL, and my journey in the world of Lego started just a couple of weeks ago. I have already spent too much money on my first 10-15 Technics sets, both new and used! I can't wait to get building :classic:
  12. Hi new people and admins/moderators! Thought I'd post here before I start my own "Hello my name is" post :)
