  1. If you're right about this and they aren't lying, then there is no advantage to letting ourselves be misdirected into worrying about them at this point. Still, I don't trust impartials in general, so anything said will be taken as an unconfirmed source until outside confirmation comes. Positive thinking, Miss Kingston! There is no sense in giving up hope now. As for your vote, it's hard to turn down a potential deathbed vote, but for now I think I'll wait for some corroborating evidence or at least a general sense of agreement before jumping into that. Right now, I suspect almost everyone, so it's hard to narrow things down enough to accuse anyone.
  2. Cuddles is stopped, which is good, Miss Ching is dead but can still help us, which is confusing and bad and good, Miss Kingston is dying (and since she's immune to magic, I assume she can't be healed magically either), and there was another impartial? This is madness. Where do we start? Make lists of likely enemies of Miss Ching and Miss Kingston? That makes a certain sense to me, though I can't recall anything that either one has done to warrant such attention. Plus we can't assume that the Death's Hallowed poisoned Miss Kingston, it might have been a stupid but innocent person who thought she was bad for some reason (though again, I can't see why). I just don't know.
  3. Just from memory, one of yours was a post you asked us to remove (I don't remember the specific topic, but it was announcing something new prematurely, I think). It's sitting in a dead posts forum that only the staff can see. If someone replies to a topic started by a spammer, the same thing will happen when the topic is moved out of sight. That's also why the staff counts are different from what you see, and why your count would appear different to any user who can't see the Academy, for example. Other potential reasons include a post that is completely deleted, a post that is merged artificially (hard to explain) or simply ghosts. Yet...
  4. And now he never will. You might want to look for a new job. And a dictionary.
  5. Yeah, it's probably best not to tell them what really happened. GHOSTS!
  6. What was the supposed purpose of your torture? I seriously doubt your story, but let's assume you really did try. I can't say that there was any effect on night 1 unless you're the reason I got results I don't trust, which only hurt the innocents as I was trying to determine the strength of our foes. As for night 2, the symptoms I suffered seemed more related to what the target of my seeing was experiencing than to me directly, but it could be possible. Again, however, it only hurt the innocents because it made it impossible for me to determine if he was up to evil or not. I'm sure that I can speak for the innocents when I thank you for all the help.
  7. A lot has been said and the arguments are pretty compelling. Just the fact that she can torture people, which is clearly not an innocent act, and has used it but tried to deny it... Vote: Nene Grandstaff / Millacol88 I sincerely hope we aren't being misled by the guilty appearance and contradictory words of another foolish innocent or I'm not going to know what to believe anymore.
  8. That's confusing, and yet I understand it completely because I'm worried about being in the same kind of situation. While I am inclined to believe that, I won't automatically make that assumption. It's also possible that you're part of a power struggle within the Death's Hallowed. Still, I am leaning towards you being innocent. Certainly interesting. Can you give us a better idea of why you think he acted on you?
  9. I had a fairly fruitless night. The person I tried to observe did absolutely nothing, as if they were in a sound sleep. I don't know if it was a natural sleep or stupefy, but they seemed peaceful. I won't name them because that would provide them with an alibi that I can't prove they deserve, which could harm us more than help. I've always found it to be the most interesting of all the forms of magic, but also the one that carries the most responsibility. Given our current plight, I think I'd trade you right now. Any information would be good at this point, let us figure out whether it's right or not.
  10. IPB, for reasons I will never guess, made their default skin with only light backgrounds in mind. As a result, they didn't define background colours for lots of little sections that would need them if you did use a dark background. That's one of them. The "previous/current/next" forum links was another. There were many more. Fortunately, I know where to stick those background colours to make it work, and now it does. It should be noted, however, that some skins were never intended to work in all areas, so there might be little oddities when viewing profiles or messages. For the most part, they should all be capable of doing the job, you just have to overlook the weird bits where they happen to be. Or report them here, it's a good way to get them fixed.
  11. Screenshot, please. I don't know what you're talking about.
  12. After slaving away at it all night, it's available. *wipes the sweat off his brow* No no, it was no trouble or anything ...
  13. It wasn't and shut it Cam. I've been using it as my default skin when I'm not testing another.
  14. As a senior member of the faculty here, I've felt that it's my responsibility to try to maintain some level of focus among the group, but I do see where that might appear to be taking a position of power. The reality is that at this point, I'm completely powerless in this situation and would really like to see someone else with solid information lead us in the right direction. Suggesting we work as a group and asking people to try to help is my way of encouraging that, but if I am coming on too strong, I'll step back a bit, so point well taken.
  15. No. And correctly. I'm going to retitle this discussion and leave it open for now, but make it very clear that this is not an approved game at this point, so everyone should keep that in mind. At the same time, I will confirm that there are plans for an organized RPG in the works. A serious, megablocks kicking, fire breathing, rough and tumble little trip into the darkest depths of destruction when only your wits and some major skills will keep you breathing long enough to maybe find some treasure and then run, screaming, for your life. It should be amusing.
  16. Aw! I've got to have these sets. Clones, you say? I don't care! Must. Have.
  17. I'm fairly certain we are all either in possession of items or spells to help us, though even I didn't get anything like stupefy. I do agree that there could be more than one with any given spell, since both the innocent and Death's Hallowed could have it. As for proving your innocence, it does nothing of the sort, and making a claim that it does is either foolishly naive or an attempt to deceive, so be careful with that. People who try too hard to claim innocence usually aren't. I don't like the way this day is going. It seems we're wasting our time on things that aren't leading us to enlightenment and success. All the while, the scum must be laughing at us, knowing that with every moment we waste, they come closer to being able to unleash death on us again.
  18. This is very bad. We can't continue to lose ground to these scum. The loss of young master Rowan comes as a shock and a great loss as I know he was a dedicated student, even if his spellcasting abilities weren't well developed. From his death, I think we've learned that whoever killed him was much more powerful than he, but that leaves a lot of possibilities. Angela... why must the innocent make themselves look guilty and distract us from the task at hand? I can't blame any of you (or myself for that matter) for casting your votes yesterday, she gave every indication of guilt and had even been lying about the camera, from what we've been told. It's very sad, but at least we can now focus on the real matter at hand instead. Today, we need information or we will continue to blindly fumble our way through this game of life, pointing fingers at the wrong people and dying at night. Someone out there knows something useful. Privately or publicly and they need to figure out who they can trust and make the first steps in creating an alliance against evil. I hope today is the day. Perhaps. I am confused by the secret vote, but I am also confused by your claim to not control your own vote, yet you voted anyway, it was listed as a vote, and then the "secret vote" was shown to occur after it, as if it was connected to you. I'd really like to know what that all means, since openness in voting is such an important part of this process. Whatever the case, in terms of silence, I find those who don't participate in these discussions to be the most questionable. If they are present but not making an effort to contribute, they are practically helping the Death's Hallowed, whether they mean to or not. Please participate, everyone, we need your thoughts, your information, and your votes when the time comes. If we're to save Hogwarts and ourselves, we need you to help. If we don't work together, we'll all die alone, as we have been so far. In terms of information, it isn't fair to ask without offering, so I will tell you what I can of last night. Retiring to my chambers early, I planned to meditate on this situation. As I began the process, I was struck with a headache like none I've ever experienced before. It was like someone was trying to probe my mind, but they weren't well trained enough to be effective, so instead it was causing me mental torture. I don't know if they were trying to stop me from learning useful information, trying to get information from me, or making some sort of attack, but they failed except for stopping me from learning anything. I suspect it was a student, given their weak skills. I can't be sure of this, though. Since I have no doubt that this was an attack by the Death's Hallowed, I feel secure in telling all of you about it. The scum can't learn anything new from it, but maybe it will encourage some of you to start being a little more cautiously open about things so we can get somewhere. If Angela had, she might still be here and we wouldn't be in an even worse position. Please consider this.
  19. Dammit. I really love polybags and these actually look pretty good. If anyone happens to find a way to secure some extras of these (especially all 4, but any combination and possibly duplicates of 30070 and 30071) and wants to do a kind deed... send me a message, please. Please?
  20. It was in your chamber topic title. There's no telling with you. That's a good point. Chambering isn't personal, it's just something we have to do when a problem arises. If the problem is solved, there's no point in it ever being brought up again. If it repeats, of course, then that's a different story.
  21. If I'm taking your question correctly, chambered members can see each others topics, but are specifically told not to read them (and if they do, they've just greatly improved their odds of being banned instead of returned to the forums). If that isn't what you're asking, they can't see the main forums while in the chamber unless they log out. One of those should cover it.
  22. You make a valid point, as far as I'm concerned. Yes, we've had some fantasy stuff here and there, but nothing in recent times has captured the whole chivalrous spirit and death defying action like the classics. Since we clearly can't expect LEGO to get involved in movies to that extent, what they should do is something they can control, put out a LEGO Kingdoms video game in the style of the SW/Batman/HP games. You could easily fill all of the necessary classes of characters from the Kingdoms line and supplement it with forestmen, older factions of knights and wizards, even some of the fantasy and fright knights era stuff. It would be very easy to make a cool mix of all of that and I think it would inspire a new interest in the line, even without getting a licensed theme involved.
  23. I like the elegant simplicity of a purist custom figure that works, and this one does. Good job!
  24. Occasionally, I get asked what the chamber is about, what happens there, what it looks like and even what we expect from members who end up there. Today, you get to experience a bit of it and learn about it's purpose. The chamber is a normally invisible forum that you are allowed to access when you've joined the "Taking a Break" group, usually for board disruptions or other guidelines violations. It is not the same as being banned, though people make that assumption. Instead, it's a place where we can talk to you privately and hopefully work out any problems so that you can return to the forums again. It's really that simple and unless you've done something particularly bad, there is no reason to be scared. As for looks, recently, with the major board upgrade, I've been skinning some of the forums that didn't previously have dedicated skins, including the chamber. If you look at the bottom left corner of almost any page on EB, you'll see a dropdown box that lets you choose what skin you'd like to use in place of the default skin (currently Summer). One of those is called "Aperture_Chamber" and that's the new chamber skin. Switch to it and you can see exactly what it looks like in there. I'm sure some of you will catch the logo and slogan references and see that we don't want it to be a scary place, but instead have tried to introduce a bit of levity into the situation, while creating a place that is clearly not the same as the rest of the forum so you'll understand the difference. As for what we expect, it's pretty simple, we expect honesty. If we're faced with obvious lies and excuses, it's very unlikely that the member will ever return to the forums. If you're honest with us, explain what you did, why, and how you can improve/change it, you've got a much greater chance of showing the maturity we look for in a member. Beyond that, the only rules are to read and respond to only your topic. Poking around in other people's business is a quick ticket out, as it shows immaturity and disrespect. And there it is, the mysterious chamber revealed. Questions? Comments?
  25. Correct! The games in this forum are almost completely based on a role play concept, so the pictures represent common character forms found in those games. Thanks! Any resemblance between #6 and my sigfig is pure coincidence. Oh, and #7 certainly isn't Mustafa. #9 is Hinck though, since he was the only witch in Azufre.
